The monkey peeing on your kayak is pretty epic and the 2-tiered waterfall is beautiful, but my favorite part of the video is seeing the French family traveling together. As the mom of 2 adult children, I love traveling with them and their partners, and I can imagine doing this.

They were so endearing and really took care of us like we were long lost family, it was a great encounter.
We were in Costa Rica for a short (3 days) trip last year so we only stuck on the west side around Uvita. We want to go back there and explore the entire country. Great inspiration video for us!

Yeah we learned A LOT about the van those two months we were stuck in Mexico haha. Beaches in Costa Rica are great, but meeting all the people was the best!

Yes we would very much love to go to Antarctica. The only showstopper we have now is that the season for Antarctica is closed until November (it's only possible to go there bewteen November and March). At this moment we would arrive in Argentina when the season for Antarctica is closed. So we're looking at our options to still make it happen 👍🏻

Hi guys, where exactly in Manzanillo can you hire the kayaks?
We rented them at Punta Uva. On google maps you can check for 'Sloth point Punta Uva'.
Thanks. We went today and saw sloths, terrapins, tree iguanas and howler monkeys. We also got the price down to 5,000 CRC/$10.
We later found you can also hire kayaks in Refugio Manzanillo that includes snorkeling gear.

Why didn't you use engine braking?
We did, but there is only so much engine braking you can do with a 3.5 ton vehicle going steep downhill

You're probably right. In our native language there is no difference, we all call them turtles haha.
