Books' main objective is not to teach necessarily, but to elaborate and document a certain set of findings so that they can be replicated by future generations. They also constitute an important form of references, again for future people. UA-cam videos however, aim at helping us do well on our exams haha
Thank you so much, there were no actual examples in my textbook! Just the formulas and working with general concepts. You`re a life saver in all my classes, keep up the good work!
Patrick I wish you could post more videos about finding the range and null spaces of linear transformation of polynomials and not only vectors Thank you, your channel in the best on utube!
PATRICK JMT YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER AND SOLELY REPONSIBLE FOR MY A- SECOND TRIMESTER. Thanks and please keep doing what you are doing :) Next year I am taking Introduction to Calculus so I will be a regular watcher of your vidoes. I LOVE YOU MARRY ME.
how are you bro, i have been watching your videos in 2022 and now for second semester in engineering . You made me pass my first semester maths exam . ANd now you are helping me too . Pls reply as i want to see whther you are doing well or not
in case 2, he previously wrote T(c v)=c T (v) but used u which is 1st vector instead of v which is second , Can we use any of the two vectors in orders to check if 2nd condition satisfies?
im confuse. so when you do that that means any value in the right side is useles? base from your example which i think your just proving the values dont matter.
Is there a theorem that allows us to identify a property of the transformation to find out if a transformation is not linear? Or do you have to grind through the process each time?
Why are books so complicated and youtube videos so simple and clear? Thanks!
Cuz Books are written by authors who write them in a very very formal advanced manner

I was really confused about linear transformation but this video was simple and easy to understand. Thank you very much
You have no idea what a life saver you are - You're the only reason I'm understanding my linear class
In 2018, these videos are still easier to understand than any college professor.
2019 +1
2020
2021. it's ten years since the video is made

my pleasure :)
after 11 years, this helped me!!! thanks a lot !!!❣
Your method of teaching is marvelous🎉🎉🎉
If you find the time, could you do a video on Kernels, Range, Rank, and Nullity? I feel like they're so simple in concept yet I'm so lost.
would appreciate it as well
PLEASEE PATRICK
Yes! it will be a great help for us.
Pleaaaaaaaaase
we still begging you patrick
Patrick, you are a legend my man. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Patrick I wish you could post more videos about finding the range and null spaces of linear transformation of polynomials and not only vectors
Thank you, your channel in the best on utube!
Done with all the linear algebra playlist! Thank you & prosper! Love the self-discipline!

honestly, you have the best explanation ever.
good luck! :)
Thanks for this video! And yes, there are still some countries where we study linear transformation in college-level algebra, not in high school 😒😒.
I saw your post in the top comments section about nothing on kernels. Thanks anyway! Love this channel =]
i love this channel so much
Thank you so much for this video. I was stocked on this topic even in Span, and L.I. during my college days.
I don't know who or where you are, but i will find you, and i will buy you a beer :D
what are you doing now?
Did you buy Him that beer?
Very simple to understand. Thank you so much sir.
This is now 2024 and the video remains powerful, I have enjoyed thanks
Sir your teaching skills are so good
Top Lad! Your videos are better than the BS coming out of my prof's mouth in class, bugger's got a Ph.D, but you are lightyears ahead.
Cheers!
Thanks Patrick you never disappoint
it took me about 4 tries but I finally got it! thank you
@Waranle doing quite well, thanks. : ) i hope you are doing well yourself!!
Thank you for everything~!!!!
how are you bro, i have been watching your videos in 2022 and now for second semester in engineering . You made me pass my first semester maths exam . ANd now you are helping me too . Pls reply as i want to see whther you are doing well or not
you're the bomb, thanks so much you've helped me more than my professors have
This video helped me so much. Thank you!
Patrick you are a star!
Great job explaining! Thank you so much!
You have explained very well. Thank you so much.
Great video !
Thanks!
exam day after tomorrow and you have tought me well 😀 thank you very much.
Pass hue tha ky nahi? Kitne me ho Abhi.
So , how was your exam my exam is tomorrow btw
Thank you so much for explaining everything 😁
I just wanted to say....that you are the hero we need.....but dont deserve....
Thank you 😊 very much, I have now understand, great job Sir
You're the best dude! Life saver. Really satisfied with the content. Cheers. :)
there are not links to a lot of these videos on your website, it would be good if there was, your videos have helped me big time, cheers!
not at the moment, sorry

b)ans. 2)fails because ca2+2 doesn't equal ca2+2c.
Is this correct logic?
1) fails as well :)
I don't think you have done a video on the 2nd example, have you?
thanks a lot patrick! :) i was wondering if you also had videos regarding finding kernel of a linear map?
Patrick your the man!
thank you so much, I so grateful for you
Where can I watch the solution of the second example? I did it by myself but I want to know if my answer is correct.
this guy rocks
MAN OMG YOU A LIFE SAVOR
thanks. i understand your points.
great video
ur a life saver ,thank you
in case 2, he previously wrote T(c v)=c T (v) but used u which is 1st vector instead of v which is second , Can we use any of the two vectors in orders to check if 2nd condition satisfies?
Great! It was really useful, thanks
So W is not a linear transformation because it doesn’t preserve the zero vector ?
to prove whether or not a transformation is linear, do we have to verify both the cases?
Any videos of linear transformations of polynomials into matrix?
Do both conditions have to be true for it to be L.T.?
im confuse. so when you do that that means any value in the right side is useles? base from your example which i think your just proving the values dont matter.
god bless this man
Is there a theorem that allows us to identify a property of the transformation to find out if a transformation is not linear? Or do you have to grind through the process each time?
Ruttna Samhället quite some time ago but still: No, not really. But with experinece you can get a really good hunch on wether it's linear or not.
Excellent vids, thank you so much!!
i got good grade thanks to you :)
This is really different than what were thought.
like L: bla bla then |1 2| = |x+2y|
|0 2| |x - y|
Really amazing
I take more than 10 lec and know I able to done
I like ur hand writing :>
thanks :)
I do not understand how to perform the first operation on the second problem.
Thank you very much! =]
Do you have anything on kernels, rank and nullity?
thank you
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much
Thank you!
Thank you Patrick, :) hope you doing good
Waranle thank u so much
patrick thaks!
b ) Is not linear transformation
How?
thank u it was really helpful
Patrick PLEASE TAKE MY MONEY !!!!
You can be a patron on 'Patreon' and I'd appreciate it :)
excellent. thank you
thanx for these! really helped me in my maths. why arent we funding this??? hehehe
Please, where can I get the answer to number 2?
how do we calculate the Compositions of Linear Transformations ?
thanks! what does it mean to say that g restricts to a linear map ??
I get it. the videos are backwards.
this was uploaded on my birthday lol
Thanks sir
Excellent channel, thnx :)
is there any video that tells what actually transformation means..why we do... what happens graphically
Thank you Patrick but way is it a good thing that it is linear. Is it beqause the rules from linear algebra apply then? Michael from Sweden.
is the answer no for part b ??
Thanks :)
thank youuuuu :)
so of one condition fails then its not a linear combination
Why does part 1 have more than twice the views as part 2??? Did the majority of people get too lazy and decide not to watch the second example??
u are great
2022 still easiest video on UA-cam about Linear transformation
youtube videos are easy to understand compared to my college professor
NICE
patrickJMT ... We meet again.
100x better than my university professor where I'm paying them god damn 8000$ to teach me the fucking stuff
