So happy to hear that it's been such an outstanding year for you! And are you really a reader if you don't pick more than 1 favourite? Hahahah, can't blame you 🤣 I really need to get back into the Songs of Kamaria series! And I want to read Dark Town so badly 🤩 Hope the second half of the year is just as good, if not better!
I mean, how can we really decide favourites 😂😂😂 IMPOSSIBLE!!! Yeah, definitely go and finish the Kamaria trilogy, it's a great ride! And Dark Town is such a unique blend of genres, I'm sure it'll be a fun read too! Thank you for watching!
Finding joy in the experience of reading the book rather than the content of the book is wonderful and I agree. 😊 Loved hearing you talk about all these wonderful books. Great answers to the tag!
Wow the way you described my novel made me cry (and smile). Thank you for bringing attention to all these great reads. Elements of Time is a novel I need to check out one day.
Great video, Abel! I completely agree with you in regard to not reviewing a book that I DNF. I think it’s unethical to review and especially to rate a book that I didn’t actually read. I hope you’ll get a lot from Curse of the Mistwraith - Wurts is one of the most talented writers I’ve ever read!
Thank you for watching Philip! I appreciate your support, especially since it looks like my opinion about ratings is not that popular 😂 But yeah, that's a hill I'm dyïng on 😂 Ah, I'm loving Curse of the Mustwraith!
Great video Abel! So many great sounding books that I hadn’t heard of before. Hopefully you continue to have a wonderful reading year. Do you have any indie author recommendations with prose similar to Robin Hobb, Susana Clarke, or Tad Williams? I’m not sure if you’ve read them or not. Enjoy the rest of your day!
Thank you for watching! Haven't read anything from Clarke, and just read only a couple of chapters from The Dragonbone Chair in Italian (ugly translation, stopped and waiting to read it in English). I've been told that The Way of Dean by Philip Chase has a great epic scope that could be assimilated to the great classic by Williams. I don't know how correct that statement is, but the first book is really strong. Still haven't read an indie book that could be compared to what Hobb achieved, but I'll ask around. I'm pretty sure we'll find at least some authors inspired by her overall goals and prose and books given how influential she is 👀
Wow, holy moly...best book of 2024 so far for you? I'm beyond honoured Abel
Just being honest!
Thank you for watching Sam!
Great stuff! Thanks, Abel! I'm glad you enjoyed THE SON OF THE PROPHETS 😀
Thank you for watching!
I'll read the novella as soon as possible ✨
