- In this movie you will see the installation of Yamaha battery dongle on a Yamaha PW-ST motor dedicated bike. Thanks to this dongle it's possible to run Yamaha motors with any type of battery. Congratulations good video !!! hello I have a bike Ariv Meld by General Motors with central motor on the pedals in my case the battery broke down and 43v and 6Ah with 259Wh are no longer manufactured I noticed that 2 thick wires and 4 thin wires come out of the motor Can I make a change to the engine with another controller and another battery to use the bike engine? please help me with any advice what parts I should buy thank you.
Hi, if you find a programmable controller, you may have a luck to pair it with your motor. Phaserunner controllers from GRIN seem to be the most flexible ones. Keep in mind, that nobody will help you setting up the controller with your motor. If you mix components from different suppliers, no company will give you any support nor warranty. You are on your own in this.
Why didnt u set it to 42v the 1st time instead of 36v??
Voltage doesn't matter as long as you stay within operational limits of the particular controller.
Where did you get the replacement battery from?

It works only with Yamaha motors.
Can the device work at a voltage of 42v-30a, and according to the signal and power wiring diagram, the module can work 24/7 or its lifespan is 3-5 years?
I'm not a producer of this chip, so I don't know the technical details. It works with Shimano system voltages, which means up to 42V.
Is it possible to repack original Yamaha battery with new cells? Will it work in that case?
Sure thing. Case is just a piece of plastic. Only electronic matters.
Hey, I wanted to use the Yamaha Battery from my Haibike for my CYC Photon build unfortunately the battery wont give the motor its full power due to not connected communication line. Is there a way to trigger the battery that it will give its full power?
Yamaha battery is designed to give max power up to 600-700 W, since this is the peak power for Yamaha motors. It won't give you higher power due to limitations in battery BMS. Don't bother modifying it, just buy generic battery from Aliexpress that can handle loads up to 1500W.

Hi, Does the battery indicator on the display indicate correctly when using the dongle? Is range estimating correctly?
Dongle producer told me, that dongle will give correct battery charge level only when it is installed on charge and discharge line. It will not give correct values, if your battery BMS has separate charge and discharge lines. Fortunately, it does not affect how the motor works.

@@LierskogenEbikes I installed bms not separated and the indication on the display is still 100%. I discharged to 38V while driving, the indication did not even start. I set the dongle according to the menu recommendations. Any idea for this to work properly?
@@Thorn1155 I don't know, if you set correctly the capacity of the battery pack in the dongle. If you did that correctly, than you need to talk with Albert van Dalen to help you out what is done wrong.

Anyone know what the error e and f is on sduro 1.0 battery hiabike yamaha if i fix bms would that error go i see burnt component on bms near bkue and white wire cheers.
If you can see burnt components on battery BMS, than it's definitely not good. Meaning of error type is less important. Replace Yamaha BMS with generic one plus this dongle.

@@kennethwebb7922 BMS must be always installed on the battery unless you want to have some fireworks on a display during charging at your home. This dongle is not BMS chip in itself.
