3D Printed Rotation | Make Anything Rotate

- Sometimes you just want to make something rotate slowly. I didn't find what I wanted online, so I designed 4 different types of rotating boxes. I made the assembly easy with no electronics skills or soldering needed! I will add a link for you to download the files to 3D print so you can use this in your projects. I hope it helps and thank you for watching!

i love the accessibility!! without any soldering experience (yet), this suddenly makes a number of projects feel much less out of reach, and easy to start!
I'm very happy to hear that! :)
You should learn to solder. It'll save you lots of headaches with wires coming undone and let you modify, fix or create new stuff from scratch
For wires to connect them quickly without soldering - instead of twisting I usually keep some WAGO clamps handy. Bought a bag of 100 a few years ago and used them in many 3D prints (with inbuild electronics) since then.
I thought those would be too big for the smaller designs but yes those are a great tool to have! I should have mentioned it so thank you!
Thank you so much for keeping it simple and not being like "hey, I used arduino and spent two weeks to program all this", this is very helpful to me
Very creative and I appreciate that someone without a soldering iron can put together. Thank you!
Yes! I don't want that to hold someone back so I hope this helps!
There are rechargeable button cell batteries!? Learning something new every video
I was suprised as well.
Really cute when you incorporate your cat with your videos
It's nice of my cat to incorporate me in his videos
@@3DSage so it was the cat all along?! 😮😆
A lot of people are asking me about the filament. It's called OVERTURE Silk Filament PLA. It has a nice shine to it.
I love your videos! Thank you for all of the inspiration :)
Dude this video is GREAT!! The projects themselves are also amazing!
This video is fantastically produced and the project is awesome and super helpful! I'll keep them in mind as I continue making, thanks for making these!
You're the best for saying that! I hope this does help your projects! 😎👍
Yoooo, thank you for the awesome video and concepts!!
Ooh nice!
This video was a delight.
That copper filament is my favorite.
It really is nice! :)
Fantastic video thank you
Thank you for saying that!
Cool! I wanted to make a moiré effect rainbow LED lamp with 3 circling bands of multicoloured strings utilising some sort of small rotation engine, and I had no idea where to start.
Very interesting! Would love to see some printed magic tricks! Even if it's just the classics!
Yes!! That sounds fun to me!
Rechargeable lithium cells are listed at 3.7v, as that is their nominal (average) voltage. When fully charged they can have 4.2v. They are considered depleted/dead at 3.4v, and should never be discharged below 3.0v.
Love this video. Could you share the coin holder/recharger stl?
Great job. Printing them as I type.
Also, I hate to be that guy, but soldering is kind of a must if you want to be a maker/tinkerer. And everyone can do it, if they just try it. Just get a 5-10$ set which has the iron, holder, flux, solder material and you're good to go. Don't be afraid (but also dont burn yourselves).
soldering isn't that hard if you have somebody who sits down with you for an hour and explains what to be aware of. Rest is practice and not beeing insecure about your own skills. Soldering is not witchcraft and a project like this is perfect for beginners.
@@jBurn_ Of course, someone nearby would be great. But in lieu of that, there are tons of very good full courses on youtube, ranging from 5 minutes to a couple of hours. I used to be terrible at it, now I can confidently solder even medium-small smd components without too much effort. I was so bad at it...
Nice dollar store light! Lol
Where to buy this one?
🤘🤘
How to make plastic axis that other plastic part can be rotated on it?
Hey would I be able to talk to you about a project I'm working on. I could really use your advice and maybe ideas? I wanna keep the details on the dl but I think you would be interested in it. Let me know! Love your videos!
hint i would be ez if u shoued ur link to the speed controller but i found it lol
what is the switch called?
What switch? I included a parts list with amazon links on the thingiverse link in the description.

Hello!

Your cat really should try to buy an ergonomic keyboard. Typing like that's gonna cause repetetive strain injury.
