Awesome project and build. And your video and editing skills really makes this a fun projectvideo to watch!
Thank you, my friend! That means a lot coming from someone as talented as you.
One of the most underrated youtubers. This is a stone cold $1000 prop easy.
hey what a great project open sauce was amazing. shame I missed seeing this hope to see you next year
See you next year!
i always love your videos, they make me want to make some more circuits! the last time i tried i planned to make a display out of ~60 seven segment displays and now they're in my drawer collecting dust hahaha
damn dude you are so good at this. love your projects
Pipboys are actually pretty big, they tend to take up the full wrist in world. Maybe make a slightly bigger version with a slightly bigger headphones.
This is cool!!!! When you made ocarina od time for GBA?
making things look scuffed on purpose is tricky, you're on to something with that film
A good tiny speaker for future projects that’s surprisingly good quality and with a very very small formfactor is the PSP speaker. The ones that were actually in the PSP.
I'm now interested to try that speaker! :)
I want to build one now, Please make it available for us!
I gotta say man, your video composition is just the right balance of hardship, serious, and playful, I love watching your content!
That really means a lot to me so thank you for the very kind comment! :)
*uses 2 coin cell batteries to get to 7V*
*immediately uses step down converter to get back down to 3*
EfFiCiEnCy!
Do you plan on ever continuing the doom engine programming tutorial series?
I'm working on it right now! Yes I will :)
@@3DSage Thats great to hear!
Awesome!
5:25 in the crochet world we call this feeling "yarn chicken"" when it LOOKS like we might have juuuust enough yarn for something but cannot be totally sure. it's just the worst having to start stop and start for just like three last stitches
Hey that's cool! You would be the expert person to know about that. I would like to try crocheting sometime, hopefully without yarn chicken. Thank you for the nice comment! :)
Hey @3DSage can you upload your diy computer to instructables?
I'm glad someone likes that project! I want to make an instructional video too.
Great video my Pip-Boy Open Sauce buddy in crime. I probably should have done more documentation on my own build cuz I wanna get into content creation myself. Oh well.
It's you! It was nice to meet you at Open Sauce and see your Pip-Boy too! :)
Nice build! You should have made the board a bit bigger to squeeze in a real time clock so you don’t have to keep setting the time. Sick build nonetheless.
Wich software die you use for the pcb?
Great work! I wish I could have made it to Open Sauce. I've been to the Bay Area Maker Faire 8 times and I've gone to a few other Maker Faires in other locations. But I have not made it to either Open Sauce. It looks like a blast!
I've wanted to try making something of my own design with a screen and have my eye on some esp32 based products, but I am not super knowledgeable in electronics or programing. Do you think it's more for people that consider themselves programmers?
top it off with a magnetic sensor so that the music only plays if the tape is ACTUALLY in the deck. Awesome project though. Looking forward to the next.
You need to put googly eyes on red to make him look like a carp
@1:11 Is that Evan and Katelyns furby thiny?, XD
Yes it is! It was great to see the furby robot in person.
You carve your own circuit boards? When can we expect your custom 6502 computer? Or a fully homemade mechanical keyboard? Or both?
I like that idea! :)
So I have a question:
Of all the people who have made a Pip-Boy, do any of them actually have a functioning geiger counter?
They're so easy now.
Add in a Bluetooth chipset and an SDR, you could do some serious stuff!
I seriously wanted to add a functioning Geiger counter! I ran out of time before the conference but maybe I can make a part 2 update :)
My opensauce badge is sitting in the next room right now... with only one eye that lights up. Glad that wasn't just me, lol. I think I have to do a better job soldering the transistors.
Yes those transistor solders are too close. I had to completely redo it for it to work :)
One cool thing I saw at open sauce was... you. lol. Thanks for signing my badge 😁
No problem! That made me happy and I hope to see you again next year! :)
dude i entirely forgot about your channel until i saw this and i fell right back in love with your content, thank you for this video- its amazing
I'm loving these videos on DIY projects. It makes me want to build my own, despite my limited free time.
Ok, the hinges are SUPER nice. Are they strong? CAN they be strong?
With both together, I feed like they are tough and it will last a long time.
A fan of the TV SHOW??? New ass fan 😭 i’m kidding bro welcome to the team
Please share your 8-bit computer, that you created before some years. I love this thing so much. I hope you share it🙏❤
Thanks for the video! Every time I see you've uploaded a new one, I am overjoyed and watch it immediately. Always something neat shown in an interesting and engaging way. You've totally got your own style. Can't wait for the next one!
Is this something we could build ourselves?
open sauce is hosted every year by william osman where you can show off your creations
Oof that opening sentence is not one I would've gone with 😂 Basically saying "I don't know anything about Fallout but I LOVE the TV show."
Those are dangerous words in this community. You might labelled a tourist if you keep that up lol.
I hear you but I felt it was best to be truthful. Also, the show now makes me want to play the games :)
Oh hey its the raycaster guy
For PLA at least I like using 3D Gloop
Good job 🙂
It looks great, very good project!
Thank you! :)
actually like it so much i want to make one myself
👍
Ottimo progetto bravo
Grazie per averlo detto! È un commento molto carino.
🎉🎉😊 good
Nice 👍

Leo & link, so cute
They will be in more videos :)
This was really cool!
You are really cool for saying that! :)
hello 3D sage, its me again in your doom part 1 video when you do the y position, when i entered the code:
//world y pos
wy[0]=y1*CS+x1*SN;
wy[1]=y2*CS+x2*SN;
}
even though its correct , i get the error:
[Error] invalid operands of types 'double(double)' and 'float' to binary 'operator*'
could you please fix it?
Wow that incredible
Lucy Goosey. Got it! Haha.
YES!! You got it! :)
@@3DSage I had such a laugh when I heard Jerry Smith's voice!
I’d say make the magnetised cartridge thing press a button at the back that loads the QR code, but what you have here is amazing.
Opensauce looked AWESOME
It honestly really was awesome and an amazing experience!
its very cute
I want more Link and Leo ❤
They are happy to hear that! 😺😺
3DSage hello, in your raycasting part 1 video, in the part where you cast a single ray, when i typed it in correctly, i get the errors
70 24 [Error] expected expression before 'int'
70 23 [Error] called object 'my' is not a function
here is my snippet of code:
void drawRays3D()
{
int r,mx,my,mp,dof; float rx,ry,ra,xo,yo;
ra=pa;
for(r=0;rPI){ ry=(((int)py>>6)6; mp=my*mapX+mx;
if(mp
Typo I fixed in the next scene of the video. "My" needs and equals sign here my=(int)(ry)>>6;
Ye but even if i do my=(int) it doesnt cast the green ray, btw thanks a lot! also heres all my code
#include
#include
#include
#include
#define PI 3.1415926535
float px,py,pdx,pdy,pa; //player position

glBegin(GL_POINTS);

{

if(mp2*PI){ pa-=2*PI;} pdx=cos(pa)*5; pdy=sin(pa)*5;}
if (key=='w'){ px+=pdx; py+=pdy;}
if (key=='s'){ px-=pdx; py-=pdy;}
glutPostRedisplay();
}

{

1:28 I SQUARED C !!
Nice! XD
A Fallout what?
A wrist watch to keep track of time but it's inspired by the Pip-boy, Nuka bottle caps, power armor and more Fallout elements.
Open sauce looks amazing. Your builds look so neat and organized. Idk I just like this video
"I am a big fan of the tv series" man I though worst case scenario you would of said fallout 4 or 76 but you really did say the tv series. Good project but shit show, everything after NV is shit. 3 and NV can be considered mid compared to 1 and 2 but nowhere close as bad as the tv show and 76.
I hate open sauce
Why?
