As far as Franks behavior goes in 4, my theory is that he uses humor as a coping mechanism. Which is why hes constantly cracking jokes. Poor guy is on his third outbreak now. Even the beginning has Frank having a nightmare of him being eaten by a zombified version of himself. Theres bound to be some PTSD, anxiety, and trauma going on. In fact, in the prologue, Vick asks Frank if hes okay to which he responds "my therapist says its an ongoing process"
A very well thought analysis that people don't usually apply to that game. I can see your points!
That would make a lot of sense and possibly redeems the game a bit.
I love how is dead rising 4 when frank runs over zombies with any vehicle, he says, fly me a little pretties fly lol
Dead Rising 1 has an unmatched atmosphere and is 100% concentrated nostalgia.
Dead Rising 2 is objectively the best game in the series and even after 20 playthroughs doesnt get old.
Dead Rising 3 is a stunning introduction to the era of Xbox one and has interesting connections to the first game even if they're just kinda shoehorned in, and the Annie twist was riveting.

Dead Rising 2 Case West is a hero duo of the century tale and Off The Record is a fantastic alternate universe experience, paying homage to the original hero, especially in comparison to the original.
DR2: Case Zero released a month before the main game, and served as a little teaser for it, which is why it seems so short.

DR 3 is so underrated. I recently repurchased all the DR games and started grinding through them I had so much nostalgia it felt great but when I started DR3 on nightmare it really gave me the best DR experience and appreciation for what they accomplished at the time. For a game 10 years old. Thanks for doing the video I really enjoyed it.

Straydog got the achievement in dead rising where you gotta play for 14 hours apparently it crashes if you're in certain locations at certain times

Don’t skip Case Zero if you want a bit of a head start to DR2. You can start with a little money and level up to 5 at the start. As long as you’re playing the 360 version 2 of 2 that is.

I really enjoy these retrospective look at some older games and series! Watching this brought back so many memories of the countless hours i poured into dead rising 2 killing tons of zombies with the funniest and weirdest weapons i could make and struggling to keep those damn stupid survivors alive long enough to get them back to base.

Dead rising 2 off the record is the best game out of the dead rising franchise next to the first game
We’ll definitely play dead rising off the record. In my opinion it’s DR3 and 3 is DR4 and 4 shouldn’t even be considered lol. Ranking was good, although I would swap 3 and the original , mostly due to the fact 3 was super buggy for me. Mostly with the vehicles getting stuck and screwing me out of precious time. Plus the original has a special place in my heart. Solid video though 👍

If they make a Dead Rising 5, it might either be a reboot, or just retcon 4 to no longer be canon.
Tip for when fighting Adam at low level. Stay a decent distance from him and bring the Uzi or Pistol and when he blows those balloons you shoot them right as he is about to throw it and there you go rinse and repeat lol
There's even an uzi on top of one of the stands near the play area that's right below where the fight starts which is the easiest way to get one from there

dr4 is underated asf reviewer purge the game like crazy but me personally enjoyed it and is a underated gem of a game might have been unfinished at launch but after a few updates its was like a new product in my opinion take reviewer with a grain of salt and sure dr4 might have shut down its game dev studio but the franchise can always get reassign to a new development team and the game series can remade
I have never liked dr2. DR1 is my favorite, DR3 is right behind it. Maybe ill play 4 soon.

Dead Rising 1 below Dead Rising 3 and an entire tier below it is a travesty. In many ways, it's better than DR 2 as well. Should've at least been A tier.

"retrospective" means more than just summarizing the plot. its about looking at how something revolutionized or reinvigorated their genre and how it impacted its medium, as well as looking at it's legacy. not a very good video.

@@gogetavsvegitodefinition-wise they’re right. Retrospective (retro+perspective) is going back and analyzing old media from a more modern lens, at least with hindsight. Though I think it was a fun video and enjoyed it
