How can something so calming be made from something so painful? It's like screaming under water.
This comment
Its the way to transmute tour suffering into beauty. Makes life bearable.
👍👍💫Love your comment
Lyrics are insanely good. What a performance.
Officially obsessed with this rendition....& can’t believe I JUST found this song!
I can only listen to this song sometimes. It’s so painful and beautiful, it takes my breath away.
The acoustic guitar solo at 2:20 is just amazing. The melody and tightness between the two are phenomenal. Makes me wish I'd picked up a guitar instead of the drums.
The whole song is outstanding but the ending omg it crushes your inner most being
there is so much beauty in this song
this is music
It's ridiculous how talented these guys are.
It's not talent. It's determination and practice.
@@slothworks7032 well...in a sense yes. But I'm talking about talent in relation to natural aptitude. You can practice something and be determined to get good or even great at anything that doesn't mean you will be. For example if I'm a person who is tone deaf and simply not able to sing in tune, with practice and determination i may be able to get better. But some people are naturally talented at certain things and can choose to hone it or not. Its something in the brain. Ever see the movie Good Will Hunting?
You prolly dont give a shit but if you're bored like me during the covid times you can watch all of the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Been binge watching with my girlfriend for the last days xD
@Franco Jonas yup, I've been using instaflixxer for since december myself :D
@Franco Jonas Definitely, have been using instaflixxer for since november myself :D
4:16 😭😭 I can't. Why is so beautiful and so sad? This song makes my heart implode.
Listening through A Black Mile has helped me through so many tough times. Continues to as well, just a beautiful album altogether
I've watched this at least a dozen times by now. Props to WUFV for going straight into the content with no bs. Hard to find quality like this.
The lights were low enough you guessed
You swapped your conscience with your father's medication
Limped from Rome to Lawrenceville
And on the way wrote out a self made declaration
And when you got to Pleasant Hill
You forced the traffic to erase your family demons
And made a pact with you and god
If you don't move I swear to you I'm gonna make ya
Do you need me?
Do you need me?
Do you need me?
Do you need me?
When the first officer arrived
It happened to be the high school bully of your brother
When you finally recognised
You felt some guilt that you had even let him touch you
"Can you hear me, what's your name?"
You could not speak just laid amazed at all the damage
As the high school's letting out
All the kids are saying the same thing that they used to
It's an alien
It's an alien
It's an alien
It's an alien
The lights are low enough you guessed
Hospital food, there's never enough medication
The doctor asked about your ears
You said your mom said you were made from a revelation
The revelation never scares
Your fear came from your drunken dad and a pair of scissors
"Were you just finally letting go?"
"Did you mean to take out all those people with you?"
Didn't mean to
Didn't mean to
Didn't mean to
Didn't mean to
Oh I didn't mean to
Oh I didn't mean to
Oh I didn't mean to
Oh I didn't mean to
Time is here to take your last amendments and believe them on your own
Time is here to take you by the hand, and leave you there alone
Time has come to take the last commandment and to carve it into stone
Time has come to take you by the hand, and leave you here alone
TY
💚
this and the black and white "the gold" video are way underplayed here on youtube. i keep coming back to these.
This is one of my new favorite bands. I just discovered them in 2018.
Same - late to the party, but glad I came
Make sure you check out his other bands. Right Away Great Captain and Bad Books 👍🏼
Same here!!!
Late to the party, its 2021!
What a great performance. Full band or partial or even Andy these guys know how to play live like no one else.
Can anyone voice inherited trauma the way manchester orchestra can? This song makes me hurt
Sufjan Stevens does this as well. Extraordinarily rare gift. Adore both artists.
Precisely described in every way. I feel it too.
I just stumbled upon these guy a few months ago and found myself buying all of their songs.
Their songs lyrics plus the vocals plus the atmospheric music has been pulling memories out of me , mostly painful, but good I think.
I see they resonate with certain people in a big way.
It's strange, my normal music taste falls into melodic death metal believe it or not
Great band these guys are.
The one good side of this pandemic is I ve found beautiful music, Manchester Orchestra, Foy Vance , Ramin Karimloo and Hadley Fraser well done boys xx😍😍😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
meravigliosa la canzone,
meravigliosa questa versione
Nothing tops when you first piece this song together.
Brando I remember I eventually pieced it together, then a few months ago, I watched the music video. As in, actually watched the music video.
Damn was that An Experience
This song is beautiful. It reminds us how beauty can surround us, give meaning to what we live and experience, and the music is just perfect. This is so overwhelming. I'm stunned from this almost unbearable beauty.
They take me away from reality..love them...
Only recently discovered this band... heartfelt lyrics are sublime.
.Thankyou and much love..
discovered 4 hours ago. lyrics. amazing. this is memento of the music industry.
Such splendid lyrics 👏👏👏
Everytime I listen to this song, at the end I'm waiting for "I already know what I dont already know"
I hope thirty yrs from now my kids will appreciate these guys like I do my dads generation of music. With respect to the entire band, Andy Hull and Robert McDowell should go down as two of the greats.
