Yeah I think their pretty good, not the perfect earbud I don’t think but still pretty amazing for the price.

I have several cheap iems and I am sensitive to treble. My favorite overall is modded ZS3. I liked them alot when stock. Got these dense red grill away from the tip and removed the black foam off the inner tubes. More detailed sound without any harsh treble. I also have the silver no-mic cable from KZ, but I wasn't able to really point any major difference in sound.

Based on your review, got KS10 for $34 on eBay.....instrument separation is incredibly detailed, easy listening for many hrs....bass was better than my ZS6....soundstage a bit less, cable sounds good, but easy to tangle, eartips are lousy, got cheap foam tips....KS10 performs even BETTER if u add it to a good quality amp/DAC ...BRINGS SOUND SIGNATURE TO A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL....just a great sounding multi driver earphone. Thanks to your insight, I am verrrrry pleased!

Mike S I tried an Astell & Kern AK JR DAP/amp/DAC......WITH the KS10....it really i proves the KS10 performance...as a portable amp of good quality.....it plays hi rez FLAC and other file types up to 24/192, which I just started enjoying high resolution files...which these hi rez files and the AK JR.....IMHO the KZ-KS10 pairs well with with its multiple balance armature drivers.

Nice video. I want to try those ZS10. I currently have the ATE, ZS1, HDS1, ZST (colourful), ZS3 and ES3. My favourite ones by far are the ES3 and ATE. I could never fit well the ZS3 in my ears, I just couldn't stand the vacuum effect they produce but the sound was ok, non fatiguing and somewhat bassy, but they didn't offer much detail and feel a little muddy in some tracks. The ATEs are balanced with a little prominent and punchy midbass, they offer lots of detail without being harsh. The ES3 are my favourite ones so far, they are a huge improvement over the ZSTs, they have very deep bass and offer also good sub bass, they have lots of details but they don't sound harsh like the ZST and sound feels just fuller rather than tinny in the ZSTs. You should try those ES3 too. I'd like to listen to your opinion about them.
Right now I haven't decided yet wether to buy the ZS10 or wait for the ES4 and check reviews of it since I liked so much the ES3.
Thanks mate, ok I might have to try them. The ZS3 do have a different sound to the rest of them but for what I listen to, I seem to really like them. Your opinion sounds similar to mine with the others so might have to get the ES3 and try them. Thanks for the comment 👍🏼

I would probably rank my KZ iems like this 1. KZ-ED16 Very balanced and also very overlooked when it comes to KZ iems but these are amazing in all aspects perfect amount of bass and everything is tuned so well and they are extremely comfortable I fall asleep with these in and wake up with no discomfort because of the way they fit. 2. KZ-ED9 (interchangeable nozzles rule for a different sound) 3. KZ-ZSR I feel bad putting these last because I actually do feel these are really good I just think they are kind of clunky and uncomfortable but they do sound amazing, with a great sub and mid-bass response and are even better with some comply tips effectively making them bass cannons. I don't know maybe these can be tied for number 2 with the ed9's because they definitely have better instrument separation and clarity over the ed9's when I have the bass-centric valves in them but I just hate how uncomfortable they are and they have slightly wider tips which may cause further discomfort for people with tiny in ear canals.
3 KZ’s that I have not tried, makes me want to try more 🙈 haha

@@jcdm8407 The AS10 are dope because they are full Balanced armature and tuned amazingly well which gives them a nice clean and layered bass sound, and then they came out with the ZS7 shortly after with a great DD and 4 BA per headpiece and it just is amazing. You can't go wrong with either but the new ZS7 knocked my socks off. Neither are fatiguing as I use them all day and theyre both comfortable to the point i fall asleep fine with them in and wake up with no pain lol. I will always recommend comply memory foam comfort tips size 500 and small medium or large based on your ear. i feel the 500 size core fits all my KZ iem's and I personally wear a large roll them in my fingertips since they are memory foam and then they just fill in my ear for optimal sound....happy listening guys!!!!

The best for me are the ZSR, i love it ven above the zs5 , the zs5 are very detailed but have a lot of silibance im very dissapointed with the zs5.

ZSR>ZST PRO>ZS3>ATE>ZS5
I find the ZS5 the same. Upgrading the cable can help but as it comes to much sibilance for me too.
I like zsr, but zs3 is easier to listen.
Zsr, zs3 ate amn zs10 my picks.
Zsr has details, but on bad audiodevices (crappy phones or china mp3 players)
On amped source zsr is amazing cant wait to buy zs10

zsr sounds really good on my fiio e17 with -4 on bass. Really opens up the mid range and lower treble and tightens bass. With a parametric eq, you can even fix the 4k-5k dip and make these sound even better.

Can try some foam tips. Also there are some ear tips out there with noise filters that stop some highs. They already have the better cable so wouldn’t really change that.
Are these amplified in anyway for your tests? Or all just plugged straight into a phone or something. I wonder if the new zs10's would benefit from some amplification because they have a much higher impedance rating compared to other kz's. Looking forward to hearing back!
I am only testing these from a phone or computer. So only the installed amp, nothing extra.
I’m sure you would get a better result from using a proper amp.
Would be interesting to see if amping the zs10's provide a noticeable difference vs zs3's which i don't believe would benefit much from any amping due to their already low impedance rating.
I use the ZST's for ear monitors but the highs can get a lil harsh. Im able to adjust the volume on the highs but think im gonna try ZS3's
Yeah I would definitely check out the ZS3 if your finding that. Great budget IEM.
You could also try get one of the new copper coated braided cables. Will help with the highs of the ZST
@@callaghanreviews3338 Got the cable also mainly bcuz the original feels weak and tangles easy. My only complaint is that there isnt a clip to clip on your shirt. I just sent for the bluetooth cable also. The vocalists our praise n worship team just started using the ZST's also and love them! They say they clear sounding! Not sure what other iems they were using before but they love the ZST's
Ok, yeah not many extras with the KZ’s.
Yeah a lot of people like the ZST, but I agree with you. Everyone hears differently and has a different preference. Noticed how much when I used the NURA headphones. Tunes the headphone to your hearing and was amazed how everyone I know got a very different sound and all said their profile sounded the best and clearest.
If you think the ZST is to bright I think you will like the ZS3 👍🏼
Hey man, enjoying your videos, also wanna suggest for you to try TRN V20, very highly rated iem on various forums like head fi, also are made by former KZ employees, so it might be interesting to compare them to your KZ lineup. Personally I agree that ZST are too harsh, and ZS3 are the most comfortable and balanced of them all. I'm pretty cautious now about KZ new and dandy products, they all seem to suffer from a frankly amateur tuning, despite all the fancy drivers that they use.

About half people agree about the ZST and half say I’m wrong and they are amazing. Think just because people hear different and also upgrading cable and using amp etc.
If you like the ZS3 more, you will probably like the ZS10. Does have more highs than the ZS3 but not blown out like the ZST.

Refreshingly honest, no frills review. I like the idea of not comparing different cables, amps, or variety of eartips on all KZ Models. I am a bit torn though...after using Ostry OS-300 treble filter eartips, copper cable, and EQu equalizer app...i have tamed the treble harshness and sibilance and love the sound...but u said soundstage and detail have i proved on ZS10 🤔🤔🤔😳😳😳....tough choice...$34-37 for ZS10 w no mic cable on AliExpress or eBay not bad, if it went down to $29-30 w no cable i would buy it. Great review enjoy all your videos mate!
Yeah I think if you were to perfect each model with cables/amp etc you might possibly get a different answer. Or maybe just make it more confusing😅
However I get a lot of questions from people who have never tried KZ’s and I think it’s good to know which is better from the start.
The ZS10 has a great range of sound, seems to have a deeper bass and the highs still go pretty bright without being to harsh.
What model are you listening to? Never used filter eartips before 🤔

The zs10 is a great purchase! However I had to change the copper cable with the silver braided cable from zs6's and the bass is more prominent than it ever was from the zs6's, for those people that say that the zs10 sounds too cold or doesn't have bass, just need to change the cable. Imaging and wider sound field separation of the zs10 sounds expensive like my shure se535's and i cant tell the difference btw the two.

I think that the cable that comes with the ZS10 is pretty good. Better than a lot of the upgrade kz cables, think that’s half why it costs more.
I think you should see what you think with the original cable. Can always test using your ZSTs cable to see what you think.

Sorry I have only tried the ZS10 from those options.
The ZS10 is my favourite of the KZ’s so I can recommend that but can’t compare to the others sorry.
I think the ZS10 is great for blues etc just because of all the separation, you will be able to hear all the difference instruments, however you way like something a little warmer sounding depending on your preference.
I was listening to some older rock and jazz with the ZS10 recently and was really good 👍🏼 sorry I can’t help more

My hearing is pretty sensitive to sibilance or harsh highs too, a lot of KZ’s I don’t like for that reason.
I only recommend ZS3 ES4 and ZS10 because I think they are the best models but also they have the least highs.

At first i'm very sceptical about the shape of the earphone and afraid it would not fit my ears properly. But I bought to try one anyway(KZ ZS3). Surprisingly it's the most comfortable earphone I've ever wear and the sealing is perfect as well. The sound quality? Good clarity and bass. Sound stage for gaming? No! Might want to search other earphone or headphone for that.
You don’t like the sound quality? Or just the sound stage?

Maybe try using contact enhancer on the cable pins that connect to the bud. Should smooth things out some. Soldering would be better; Anyone done it ?

Looking at the zs10 sound signature, they should sound bright as hell.
Are you saying they are bright or should be bright? May sound different depending on your music choice but I really like the separation and sound stage of the ZS10. Also has a pretty deep bass
I love the fit of my zs3 than my zst. question is the zs5 fit like the zs3?
No ZS5 is a lot different shape and size. There is the new ZS4 which has the same shape, haven’t tried yet.
Also the new AS10 has a fairly similar size and fit. But more expensive. Most fit well but the ZS5 is the only one that felt a lot different in fit.

However I don’t use them as a monitor so probably cannot give you the best information. I do like the ZS3. They have a warm sound signature and fairly bassy.

Everyone hears slightly different but I find a lot of the KZ to be very bright. The ones that I enjoy listening to are ZS3 ES4 and ZS10.
Depending which currency your using for the $25 I would look into the KZ ZS10
The build and cable seem good quality. Maybe not 100% accurate for producing music though.
Can also look at the TinAudio T3 earbuds

Hey mate, the copper cable I purchased does not connect to the ZS3 so just double check you get one with the ZS3 connection.
Should be a straighter connection, not the curved I believe.

The BQEYZ were pretty bassy from memory and sounded pretty good. Haven’t tried the others. I really like the KZ ZS10 for a budget earbud.

I have KZ ZS6. Previously I used HTC 10 hi-res earphone & B&O earphone that came free with my previous smartphones. I didn't like the fact that while watching UA-cam videos I can barely hear the BACKGROUND music, whereas the voice of reviewers is clearly audible. Which means it is making changes in frequencies & I can't hear thing as it meant to be. I also need to increase the volume way to much. Tested on my current non Audiophile Google Pixel phone. Treble is on higher side as well. I can also feel the sharp edges while wearing them. Audio is subjective, but now I think i should have bought KZ ZS10 instead of KZ ZS6, as the price difference was very less at that time. Unluckily KZ ZS10 was only available for pre-order & I didn't wanted to wait.
If anyone is reading my above comments I m not saying it is bad by any means. Sound quality is improving day by day & treble is getting bearable & smooth. I m using the silver cable. KZ ZS6 was the top flagship earphone of KZ before the launch of ZS10. Maybe my current smartphone(Google Pixel) is not getting the best out of them. ZS6 is definitely better than my HTC hires & B&O earphone. I wish I had my V20 or HTC 10 to test this wonderful KZ ZS6 IEM. I think comfort wise ZS10 is good, cause it has round curvier shape unlike ZS6 & also it is the current flagship earphone of KZ, so maybe it has the best sound quality KZ can offer.
I find a few of the KZ’s to have harsh highs also. I also only play using my phone, an iPhone so probably don’t get full potential. I haven’t tried the zs6 but have the ZS5 and find the highs way to harsh with standard cable. The ZS10 is definitely less harsh
but also it does start with an upgraded cable. I like the sound and playing straight from my phone

I have the Kz6 and kzt models, both with white braided upgrade cables, ostry os-300 was recommended by another reviewer with its treble filter for those like me who likes bright but not harsh treble, he actually said he liked the Ostry os-200 better. I use Comply T-500 and cheaper red Chinese foam clones that work perfect.....on the KZT making it a value purchase even w upgrades. Zs6 sharp edges hurt my ears initially but i am used to it nowI used foam Complys, they give better bass, seal and sound isolation, but for extended listening not as comfortable or as good sound quality as Ostry os-300....which tend not to seal right and only recommended if you are not moving around

I definitely recommend upgrading the eartips no matter what KZ’s. Like you said, definitely want to seal that bass in and even the basic foam tips soften the harshness slightly.

Recommend the ZS10, the soundstage and separation in sounds would be great for gaming I believe and the bass goes really deep, great for gaming, explosions etc 👍🏼

+1 for ZS3. And they are so cheap yet great! Bought them few days ago for like 8 bucks, perfect if you're into electronic music, for the other, ''not electronic'' genres, not so great, they lack in details area.

ZS10 came in with the SPC v3 cable. if you want a real fair comparison they should all have the upgrade cable.
I agree but that there standard and what they come with. The ZS10 isn’t a 100% fair Comparison, is 4 times the price of some of the other KZ’s, if you were to spend the same money and upgrade them all I’m sure you would probably get different results, that’s why I wanted to make that clear at the start. A hard review because everyone likes to customise and upgrade the kz’s.

Hello I have a kz zsr which the cat ate the cable, and now i "welded" it. I want to buy another cable with Mic but only option is normal one. I could not find a silver or gold plated cable with mic. What can you reccomend for me? Is it the gold/silver plated cable really better?
Apparently someone commented and told me there is no difference in some tests but I believe it does sound different with a better cable. I bought all mine at Aliexpress, is that where you were looking?

I had the zs3 for 2 years, is it worth upgrading to zs10? (I was using it with stock kable but planning on getting a bluetooth adapter cable)
I like both the ZS3 and zs10. Think if you like the ZS3 you will like the ZS10. Worth the upgrade I think 👍🏼

I have been running with a few of the KZ’s, used with a Bluetooth adapter. Had no issues other than the Bluetooth module bouncing around. Use a true wireless now just for that reason. Find it more comfortable

I remember it was ok. But not as good as true wireless ones Ives used. May need to adjust them while running. All depends how they fit your ears. Some people find it easy and other have trouble with fit.

Could you recomend me a in ear to be used as a stage monitor? I play mostly bass, but some guitar. I have a concern with altered pitches as you said. It can ruin my playing and let me out of tune with wront notes. I need a deep bass but also good medium response. Thank you.
I honestly don’t use them for a stage monitor, only for listening to music. So I don’t want to recommend something I don’t know.
However I believe you can’t go wrong with the zs3 if your not sure about the ZS10, it’s at a great price also. Has a nice bass, just need to make sure you get a good seal. Worth getting better eartips with any of them.
I have KZ ZS6 and I'm also a bassist although I'm still a beginner. I don't play on stage so I don't really know for your exact case.
I like those ZS6 but not too much for monitoring, there is too much bass which means that it leads me to bringing down the bass which is wrong while listening back with other headphones so I just use them for listening to music.

Which one has the most flat frequency response? I need a backup for my Shure SE215 and I want the closest thing to is from the KZ line.
These are probably one of the most balanced as they have brought the mids up a bit more compared to some KZ’s .
not sure how they would compare to a Shure Sound signature as I have never used any.

The ZS10 have a deep bass and I think sound great.
i liked my zsn a lot. though it costs a lot cheaper than the other kzs, it sounds great.
zs3 is good but it is very uncomfortable when wearing for a while,any recommendation ?
I have heard that they can be tight or uncomfortable if you have smaller ears.
If it’s not that the only thing you can really try is different eartips, that’s probably the only thing you can try and see if that helps.

I’m not really sure what would be best because I’ve never really used drums. My favourite are ZS10 ZS3 ES4 so would still recommend those as the best KZ

If you want a budget one to try, would definitely recommend ZS3 or ES4. Both really good for the price.

Would probably recommend ZS3 or ES4. They have more of a bassy sound. If you are sensitive with highs then the ZS3 is one of the best.
The ES4 has a little more separation and wider soundstage

The zs6/ZS5 are meant to be the most bass heavy because have 2 drivers in each for bass but the highs are blown out so need to upgrade the cable and possibly use and amp to get the best bass.
I actually think the ZS10 has a great bass, it’s not huge and booming but because it has a nice frequency range it’s bass seems to go fairly low and deep.
AS10 is the current best, the current ranking should be AS10>ZS10>ES4>ZS6 w/filter>ZS5 V1>ZST

Zst I believe originally came out in two colours and then they named one the ZST pro. Both similar.
For me they are too bright and the highs are harsh.
