FYI - I did have a mask with me incase I needed it however this video was filmed last week before it was compulsory to wear a mask hence why I’m not wearing one in the stores. I sanitise before and after every store therefore those moaning about me touching this I’m posing no extra risk to myself or anyone else, I’m not going to buy something without picking it up and that doesn’t mean I have to buy everything I want to look at; it’s your responsibility as a consumer to sanitise everything you buy anyway. Honestly stop complaining at every video I do these days or I’ll just turn comments off as there’s absolutely no need it’s like people are just waiting for something to comment on on every single video nowadays if you don’t like my content, leave nice comment OR constructive criticism or just don’t comment

Just want to say there's a lot of stuff going on at the moment which obviously people are very passionate about it, however they shouldn't judge so harshly and you can make your own decisions. I care about sustainability however I still watch your videos because you seem a lovely person and your just trying to create a better life for yourself, I understand as I come from a working class family. You are vegan, thats a good step forward for the environment and animals right there. You shouldn't feel pressure to change and anyone these are really big issues that are complex. We need more compassion and understanding, sorry your getting so much hate xxx

Have you ever considered cloth wipes? No judgement for getting the wipes just an option. You can carry a spray bottle around with you too, so you can wet on the go zx

Just wanted to let you know that Primark do biodegradable wipes now so they might be a better/ more ethical option for future! They’re super affordable and do ones for sensitive skin💖

Superdrug sell biodegradable wipes £1.49 and you can order a few online if you don’t shop there often.
I use reusable cloth wipes - EBay have them, I just rewash them :) even if they break down, it can still take ages for biodegradable wipes to break down so I find reusable cloth wipes are even better. X

Instead of a wipe, you could always use a cotton round with a tiny garnier micellar water or any other travel sized micellar waters

i bought 20 muslin cloths and i use them instead of wipes, very easy just to chuck in the wash etc :) also you can add micellar to them and pop them in a ziplock bag for on the go x

You can get washable cotton pads from amazon which you could use on holiday and at home etc once you finish with them you put them in the small cotton bag and wash them in the washin macheine xx
I have reusable cotton pads but these aren’t practical for me when I’m away for longer than 2 week periods and don’t have access to washing machines and when I want to clean makeup brushes which is what I use my wipes for a lot of the time x

I know in most shops they do have signs asking to not touch items unless you are buying, because it is one of the ways that the virus is spread. Totally get that you have to read labels but just read items that you need rather than showing the camera various items that you don’t want to buy.
I do love your videos but wouldn’t like you or anyone else to get poorly xx
I have to check the ingredients on items and there was absolutely no signs saying this in any of the stores or else I wouldn’t have touched but I’m not going to buy something without touching it to see if it’s what I want. I sanitise before and after every store so I’m not cross contamination myself or the items for anyone else
Demi Donnelly it might be different in different towns but I know where I live there is, I totally get it and I’m not trying to have a go, I just giving the heads up so people can try and stay safe :) x

Zoè Wallace I’m also from Newcastle and every shop I’ve been in so far there’s never been a sign saying not to touch if we’re not buying, I think if Demi never sanitised her hands beforehand then she wouldn’t touch🤷♀️

I have to pick up items when I’m checking ingredients to make sure they are vegan however I have hand sanitizer with me
@@DemiDonnelly I'd just ignore these comments Demi, honestly the comments like these are so draining. Everyone should be using hand sanitizer/ washing their hands before and after they go shopping. Also people can always sanitizer the stuff they've brought, when they get home like I do🤷🏼♀️. So you picking them up shouldn't make a difference. Just seems like everyone is picking holes in what all youtubers/influencers are doing "wrong" just ridiculous now!

Jack Kiani Well, I’m sure if touching items you’re purchasing was a problem, supermarkets would have rules regarding this. If you follow the rules, Anti-Bac on the way in and out of the shop and don’t touch your face during your visit, I don’t see the problem.
Jack Kiani just because she didn’t show her checking ingredients doesn’t mean she wasn’t doing it. I’m not being funny but why would she want to leave the ingredients checking in the video? Maybe you should do more to be nice on the Internet instead of butting in and trying to make someone feel like rubbish for going shopping 🙄 I bet you’ve made slip ups and haven’t been absolutely perfect through the whole pandemic..

I would love to see a video where you tell us what basic changes you have made to go vegan, what products you have swapped out and what you recommend and what you don’t.
I’m trying to go cruelty free and eco friendly, I’ve started with bamboo cotton buds, reusable makeup wipes, bar soap, I have tried bar shampoos but they make my hair really dry.
