Wit dat! From #Beychella to #LionKing to#HomecomingTheFilm, it's been a study of feeling blackety black black! Oh! And it feels so good! I needed #Black Parade & I didn't know how badly I needed it until I experienced it.
Beyonce is very attentive and knows when people are hurting...this song coming at the time it did, she really was trying to help us recognize how powerful and beautiful we are .. Thank for this I feel ya✌️
I feel like a lot of the meaning of this song is lost on many African Americans. She's talking about Africa, not Texas when she says "going back to the south. Where in Texas are you going to find a baobab tree? 🙂 You litteraly went: We got rhythm (you repeated) We got pride (you repeated) We got kings (you repeated) We got tribes (silent) 🙂 Beyonce has been telling us about black unity as a whole being a part of our connection to the motherland but many don't hear it at all. The song is most likely linked to the African documentary she made coming out on Disney+ I feel like she might be planning to move to Africa and start something there and honestly, I hope she starts a movement and more people follow. Privilege in America is white. Privilege in Africa is black 👌🏾
I love me some Beyoncé too Motha land drip on me is obviously a tribute to our Africa Heritage and when you consider the power that came to the south from the African slave trade, it only makes sense that the south Has a greater population with more blacks whose cultural practices are a are closer to their native roots.. I always feel it when I go down south where my roots less water down. It does make me feel the journey back takes us through the south back over to Africa. Just my interpretation 😀
