The visceral gut punch of nostalgia I felt seeing the Cobra Wolf vehicle left me reeling. My absolute favourite vehicle, so many play options. The double canopies, the rear gun, the hidden missile launcher...I spent hours playing with that sleek bastard and it was definitely my hero vehicle for backyard adventures. Thanks for the cheap dopamine hit Tony!
Totally agree 5 out of 5. I too have my original tomahawk that I got second hand from a friend.
I had one of these. I painted it in green cammo, and added red LED lights in the cockpit. I remember melting plastic, so I could make room for batteries..........what a mess :-)
Cool vid. I had this toy as a kid. It was awesome. Lift Ticket was a ugly toy, but still not as bad as original Scarlet. Or Cover girl. Just oy.
Great story. I miss the days of playing G.I.Joes with my pal Seth. We did quite a bit of trading also. For his Birthday every year I send him a vintage action figure (He doesn't collect anymore) and he gives them to his kids. Great concept video. The review was great, but it was the personal touch that really made this one memorable. Thanks for all your hard work on producing quality content. Best to you.

Great Video! I just picked up a complete Tomahawk yesterday with the exception of Lift-Ticket's helmet mic!
I was major bummed to have never owned a Rattler or a Skystriker - but I did have a Night Raven and a Tomahawk!
I finally got one of these last week and have been restoring it. All done save for the decals. I was fortunate to have really straight rotor blades especially given where mine was stored before I got it. This was a great review! I am stoked to finally have one in the collection!

So glad this popped up in my feed. That's a great story about you and your friend swapping toys and thanking him to this day. I actually still have some stuff from old friends that we never returned so this is totally a relatable story!

I always wish I had gotten the Tomahawk. The best and worst part of your channel is discovering the original retail price of the vehicles and playsets. It shows me that I missed out on certain things not because they were expensive but because my folks were cheap.

I just left the blades off my TOMAHAWK and put stylized acrylic discs to simulate 'spinning' rotors
Weird how your clips of the Tomahawk from the cartoon ALSO show drooping rotor blades.

It was great to hear your stories about how you got your Tomahawk. I got mine for Christmas. I remember putting it in a movie my friends and I made. We put some those smokin' snake fireworks inside to look like our helicopter was taking damage and had to crash. My friend, Tony, and I still collect GI Joe 'til this day. I'm so happy to watch someone's passion about GI Joe on UA-cam. There's only a few friends I know that enjoy GI Joe like I do. If you get a chance please check out my channel as well. $12.99?! Where was this? I easily paid $30+ for mine brand new at retail when it came out. Also, I didn't mind Lift-Ticket at all, btw, as long as you covered up his smirk with that mic. 😄
buddy of mines own a comic book store in goldsboro north carolina and he every g.i. joe playset every action figure every made and the u.s.s.e.r flag the toma hawk is a classic
I LOVE my TOMAHAWK, but I wasn't sold on the camo and painted mine a more conventional 'GI JOE' green like the VAMP and the MOBAT (I think it looks better)

The Tomahawk is cool, but I still like the Dragonfly better. Maybe it is because I had the Dragonfly but not the Tomahawk.

Red Alert 1 Chinook: Hmmm both of you look identical, but there's just a big difference. The tomahawk carries a missile and bombs while you Nighthawk you only have a chain gun.
