    Thank you for the video. This helped a lot. I couldn’t fit my hand back there, so did the job from underneath. I think it’s also a lot easier seeing the nut from below.

      Definitely easier to but it still wasn’t very visible with my hand up there. This video was actually my second time doing it so just reaching over the top worked.

      when you went underneath, did you have to remove anything extra? or was it just a much easier to get to? I know the top almost seems impossible.

    Thanks mate planning to do this too, code p0544 came up. Thing is I believe the other sensors have been changed and i cant go off the color of the plug, which one exactly is it?

    I have the same issue, effed up my DPF filter so got the RAWTEK delete on, had to put new sensor in but the ECU will not allow me to clear the code however the tool sees the temp increasing but won't allow us to clear the code. I have the Malone tune on it as well and have asked them for input. Thanks

      Did you ever figure out how to clear the light? I am deleted and have this error and a glow plug light flashing

      @@NikkFlo I ad to get rid of my DPF. I used a Vaggcom once I cleared everything and I believe I had to replace the lower sensor. The code gives you the same error for both upper an lower sensors and my luck it was a bitch to figure out. I have not had a problem sense then.

    Do you possibly have the link as to where you got the new sensor? Or atleast the serial number of it or something. Becuase I don’t want to get the wrong one. Thank you.

      I don’t, but there are a couple different part numbers. I got it from FCP Euro.

    Thanks a lot for the video , really helpful , by the way if the car left with this fault for sometime any damage or effect would it have ?

    • @gm1777
      @gm1777 3 роки тому

      Possibility of DPF damage and it relies on temperature regulation for correct regeneration intervals

      See 13:50 where he explains it well. This problem just happened to my TDI. I went a couple weeks with the P0544 code, since I couldn't locate the part. Then my car threw a new code P2463 and went into limp mode, so I checked the DPF soot loading using VCDS, and it's right about the max allowable point where even if I fix the sensor it may not even go into emergency regen. I could be looking at a new DPF or may have to clean it, if that's even possible. I read online that a new DPF costs about $2,400, so that's not good.. Update: I changed the sensor, was able to force a regen while standing at idle, and after several attempts, it cleared all the soot out and it’s running normal.

    Hi
    I have the same car with the same problem. I'm trying to follow along with your video but I'm not sure where exactly is the sensor located. is it technically on the exhaust pipe? Thank you
