Portugal is wonderful! All regions with their own traditions! This is the reason why I decided to leave Britain and came to live in the seaside town of Figueira da Foz, very close to Coimbra, in between Lisbon and Porto. Very easy and reasonably prices transport to all areas of the country. You must come and visit other parts of Portugal - you will really love it as much as you love Lisbon! Tanti Auguri in your journeys!
You two would fit in well in Cascais….close to Lisboa and a lovely place to find peace and quiet!

You have to visit Porto. It is so amazing to live there. A bit quieter than Lissabon :)

O yes. €735 euros per month is salary, 1 bed room house is 850 euros. Then you have utilities, food , medication etc. so far it is the best place to Live if you work remotely, If your salary is 6000 dollars per month.

In medeira, #lisboa and Portugal actually.. Is verry expensive to live and low salarry. The best is in dubai. Trust me

I don't recommend living permanently in Lisbon. The cost of life is high and the salaries are very poor. Also, they don't have labour agreements (convenios) like in other countries. Or for example the rents are expensive.
Apart from that, the country is very beautiful, and the food very good.
Up to 48% taxes? No, no. Maximum is 23% minimum 6%...
