This is the type of knowledge as a white fella I want to learn and pass on to my family. The First Nation People have an abundance of knowledge that truly needs to be preserved for future generations to come. 🖤💛❤️
@@RareGem369 it’s nothing compared to how much had been lost in time to colonialism though. The Muruwari mob utilises over 30 different native plants as medicine. I bet you can’t even name that many plants
I was out at Muggine Station (near Moura) there once. I ended up competing in the Woorabinda Rodeo. The people there are amongst the LOVELIEST that anyone could ever hope to meet. The little kids had never seen hair the colour of mine. They follwed me around everywhere I went & the little girls all wanted to stroke my hair. I ended up giving all the gorgeous kids horse rides that day. I actually didn't want to leave. The people there are just so beautiful 💚
This is awesome info! I've been growing Australian natives for medicinal reasons and found soap tree leaves (the young tender ones) are really effective on hangovers and nausea/headaches etc also)
Yes great to see the knowledge of my Grand father Jack MacGregor aka Leisha passed down to My Father John and His Uncle Timmy Kemp who then passed it down to Uncle Steve and I before he passed away got some great knowledge recorded for future generations. Good 1 Kempy👍
Thanks Stevie, I've always considered you a very cultural man and have always enjoyed our conversations when I lived at Woori (Woorabinda-Kangaroo Sit Down) 1990-95 and the times since then! Great video footage and narration. So from a Yundrruwandha man to a Gangalu man, "Thawarla nganyi kathi parndrithikanga-I'm Going Hunting"
I am so fascinated with how the ancestors of this county uue their land. Hope there is an organization to help with replanting and keep this part of the land preserved.. Love your work. Always listen to the man of the land xox
Obviously their is no Restoring or Landscaping necessary As it shows over hanging shrubs with trees that extend 40-50 Metres it's not a Gold Mine is it ? 😮
Hi Stevie..thank u most interesting. Do you know of any treatments for eyes.i have glaucoma and want to use natural products.. if you know of anything I'd be most grateful 🙏
I have a tree I believe is a gumby gumby, but dont know if it is the one Steve talks about. Can someone help me identify it? or tell me what the tree should taste like as Steve refers to here? I would like to help to preserve this tree and the medicines as well, and would like to know if there is any bush tucker tours or courses at Wori?
Such an outstanding video! Is Steve still with the FBA? Could I email him some questions? I am teaching a Year 3 unit on Living things and classification. Thank you.
