  • Voltron is the debut of Mack Rides new Stryker roller coaster and looks like an incredible ride. It is packed with features including a trick track, world first beyond vertical launch, a swing launch and a turntable. It's a long an impressive ride, but is it any good?
You may have heard rumours that this ride is a bit rough or shakey, find out if that's true in this video. What other roller coasters does it compare to favourably as well?
Will the Stryker coaster prove as popular as the Blue FIre models which have been copied around the world? What does a theme park build when they really want to show off a new ride model?
I'll try and cover everything in a concise way in this video review - Enjoy!

I rode it over the last 2 days and am happy to report that I didn't get any shakey rides. Maybe I got lucky or perhaps they've fixed the faulty trains. Either way, I was a big fan of the ride!

Looks like one of the best coasters ever!

Fun fact: the second launch on Voltron is actually a block zone, if the ride gets stuck it can be used as a swing launch, boosting the train back into the layout!

Train 5 on Voltron is the "rattle train" as I'd like to call it. It has different running wheels than all of the other trains.
Other than in Train 5 I never experienced anything worse than a minimal vibration, even in the bacl outer seats.

Why don't they change the wheels then? Surely if the solution is that simple then why not fix it

Caus op talks bs. It has to do with the extended rods on which the outer seats are attached. To do this, the entire train would have to be taken apart. Although you can adjust a little here and there, this will not improve the driving experience. This is a design flaw that, in my opinion, requires large parts of the trains to be replaced.@@RollercoasterDavid

Changes are still being made so that the coaster runs softer. Personally, I like coaster where I have to work and I feel the ride. I think Voltron is an outstanding roller coaster⚡and I love it extremely👌Thanks for this great video👍

    I had 4 rides on Voltron - and I loooooooooove it !
The launches are so powerful !
The backwards launch ripped my head of…almost…
The surrounding buildings are nice but I thought they should have built it closer to Italy because of the Venetian influence…

Looks good. Hexagonal wheel replacement sounds like a great idea. Round should work better.

I don’t know if this is confirmed, but from what I’ve heard, the pre show track (or as Mack Rides call it “the Effect Track”) is meant to act as a scale, weighing the train to determine how much energy and power is needed to launch the train up the inverted top hat.

Nice review! I like the fact that you pointed Mack's history of showcasing rides at Europa. I agree with your point about the outer seats on the big dipper and I would imagine that could be an issue with this coaster. How was the pacing with the ride? On-ride POV's it looks great. Off ride it looks a little hit or miss. Regardless of the nit-picking Europa has a hit on their hands with this one, I think. Looking forward to riding it in July.

I thought the pacing was great! The new Stryker trains look like they have additional bracing compared to the big dipper ones.

Mack admitted that two of the trains didn't have the 'complete suspension' installed. They are the skaky ones apparently.
I'm very surprised they didn't just run it at lower capacity rather than give so many riders mixed reviews

@@RollercoasterDavid yeah I saw a lot of smooth onrides too and some shaky as hell... A friend that works in the park told me, that two trains came just some days before opening, because they had some production chain problems for parts of the train... But yeah it seems there is a big difference between the trains

By the way, Rimac sponsored this, as they are a Croatian car brand with the fastest electric car one can buy

I am happy rimac sponsored this since rimac is also about acceleration, also Rimac is from Croatia, fits the package
tesla is just to generic and to boring for a ride like this

@@RollercoasterDavid Koenigsegg is probably who you was thinking of. They are practically the Petrol Version of Rimac-Buggati since they got bought by VW in 2023 or Early 2024.

    Maybe an unpopular opinion but:
Helix was a better roller coaster when it opened compared to Voltron today.

    • @RollercoasterDavid
      @RollercoasterDavid  10 днів тому

I don't recall there being any issues with the helix trains, but it has the advantage of not being a prototype model
