Hello. At 2:14 - 2:15, you move that lever on top of the cover. What is that lever for? I have a paramount system and never really knew what that lever does? Thank you.
Hi there, that lever you are referring to is called the quick stop. Its purpose is to stop the rotation of the gears on to a specific zone allowing you to test the zones, and or other equipment like the pop heads, or to simply perform maintenance as well. Hope this helps!
The gear module is responsible for doing that so there isn't a way to set it. If its not doing so then it may be an indication that the unit is bad. Hope this helps!
@ePoolSupply there are TWO of them . I guess I need to look at the manifold feeding them to see if it's in series or parallel so to speak. Has its own pump but I don't think 2 sets of cleaner heads ran simultaneously. Follow me?
I know the module should pop right out, but for some reason mine is stuck and only comes up 1/2 inch. Seems something underneath it is keeping it from coming loose. What options do I have to free it? I worry the base it sits in might get damaged if I exert too much force trying to free it.
Hello, unfortunately without being there physically it would be hard to say. The impeller guard could have broken off and could be causing it to stick but I have no remedy to provide to release it. May just have to use some more force to free it.
Those pressure gauges last only one or two years. My pool service company actually tried hard to talk me out of replacing them, trying to save me money. I learned the hard way that they were right.
Bubbles usually indicate that you have a suction leak... Check to make sure there are no bubbles going into the pump. For the heads not going down all the way: 1. Make sure you have good flow to the valve 2. Verify the pop ups are going up all the way 3. Verify water flow has stopped when the cycle goes to the next station, that could indicate the valve is bad.
Bonjour, j'espère que ma traduction se passe bien. Oui, le port 6 fonctionne pour toutes les années. Ils ont apporté des améliorations, mais cette vanne glisse bien en place. Je vous remercie
@@danielsatz9182 when you take them out... if the pistons are stuck up or loose, that is the bad one... unfortunately these go bad usually at the same time and we see people over and over again buying both valves at the same time.

@@ePoolSupply thank you
I have a weekly pool that has two of the paramount valves is there a way that it should be timed going from one unit to the other?

You are welcome, thank you for watching.
Why does my pressure gauge on top of the module don't have any pressure when it's on?
Hey Timothy, A few things could happen here...
1. No Back pressure
2. Bad Gauge
3. Bad module inside where too many ports are opened.
Those pressure gauges last only one or two years. My pool service company actually tried hard to talk me out of replacing them, trying to save me money. I learned the hard way that they were right.
@@SoloGuitar1000 the gauges were replaced. They were only a month old when I asked this question.
Hi I have a stuck piston which I can't seem to clear without taking it all apart, is the gear module serviceable?
Hello, unfortunately the gear module is not serviceable from the top... You have to take the entire thing apart.
A piston stuck open is usually a sign you need a new module. They last about 5 years.
i have some bubbles coming out of the pop up heads and some of them dont go back down fully after cycling to another zone. Anything I am missing?

Validé la commande merci pour les conseils d'adaptation sur existant de 1997 .
Im supposed to have 2 heads pop up at a time but after opening pool this year, about 6 come on at once at minimized pressure. Do you know why?
Sounds like the module may be bad.

ePoolSupply but how do I know which one is bad? I have two. A 6 port and a 4 port
