The game of Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I grew up as a kid watching my dad's recorded VHS tapes of playoff games through the 70s and 80s, and collected all the Basketball cards. Something about the game and what it represents just hooked me from a very young age.
My love for the game only continues to grow as time goes on. I love studying and analyzing the game, with an unbiased perspective. Feel free to subscribe, follow me on social media, and celebrate this amazing game and it's rich history with me!
I post videos every week on NBA history, predictions, hypothetical scenarios and current NBA topics.

Who’s your pick to win it all?
Nugs
Knicks
Wolves Vs Celtics in the finals and Celtics in 6
Whoever wins the nuggets wolves series. My personal pick is the nuggets since I don't think anyone can beat them FOUR times in a single series. There's some that'll push them for sure but BEAT them? Nah I don't see it happening
Nuggets
2:21 that finish was wild😭
That bro got the sauce
That layup at 2:25 was nuts. Players from back then are a lot better than most people give them credit for.
That layup could be in any highlight reel from any era. Just absolutely amazing play!
I had never seen it and my jaw dropped, I had to rewind a few times
Are you talking about the one at 2:23 bc 2:27 is weak as hell
@@expiredmilk5435Yeah it is a bit earlier, but I think you know which one I'm referring to
@@trogdor8942 Yeah I didnt initially so I was really confused lol
1/12 against Denver - it will happen someday but it won't be in this series.
the short answer is no as a LeBron fan😭😭
Facts as a Bron & Laker fan I just wanted them to show heart especially after blowing at 20 point lead in gm2, we ain't winning the series but if he could push it to 6 maybe 7 but to give Denver a scare id be happy
@@TheJohnWick1😂😂 not happening but I love the optimism
@@Dreamkail 😂😂 a man can dream lol
@@TheJohnWick1they need to attack Jokic on defense
yeah I feel like you don’t hoop basketball is strategic take away jokic , and let the role players get to work slim chance it could happen but never say never tbh
2:22 that layup had me looking at my screen like i was an angry Bobby Portis 😭
History is as far from their side as possible, but it’s *possible,* just ridiculously improbable.
Exactly right 🤷♂️
Lakers lost end of story. Lebron lost end of story. Lebron is overrated end of story.
@@mr.sinjin-smyth I wasn’t betting on them. Just being a technical ass.
Lakers have won a single game. Lets not get carried away. As a Celtics fan, trust me, don't get your hopes up. 😂
Lakers lost end of story. Lebron lost end of story. Lebron is overrated end of story.
It’s gonna happen at some point, but I don’t think this is the team to do it. Nuggets are just too good
They've been off this whole series
@@countkilroygraf8816Murray is injured also
If the Lakers had Arnie Risen I would believe they could do it. But I don't see him walkin through that door, so no it ain't gonna happen and it ends tonight.
Jonny out here with the ESPN title 😅😂😂
I would like to watch one or 2 more games because both teams have amazing top end talent, but the answer is no.. asll that scoop at 2:24 tho?!? Sick
I still remember when they said this in the 2017 finals
If lakers do come back the win 4-3, lebron will go “that again made me the greatest player of all time” regardless of whether the lakers win all the way or not, or getting swept in the next round. As if doing feats is more important than winning and dominating.
You’re just lying to get your point across, I doubt Lebron would care about such feat if he doesn’t win it all, he truly wants to win, like every other star in the nba, he’s not any different
I have mj as the goat but if LeBron wins this series he's the goat
@@ComicEdits313 I’m lying? I hope you know what lying means. I’m stating my opinion about how things could unfold in the future.
@@konodioda0962 ao it appears you perceive completing feats is more important.
I mean beating the reigning Champs and doing something no one else has ever done in NBA series is not something to overlook. Even if you personally don't like lebron.

Lebron doesn't care, its just basketball 😂

@@d3va383 I understood well, don't defend this man. He was diminishing the importance of the moment. Yes he was saying there shouldn't be pressure, but he was saying that because "its just basketball" meaning it is not as important as people make it out to be.

I’ve accepted our fate but I’d be over the moon if LeKing pushes it to a game 6. Also 2:22 that layup was clean asf
I remember when people were saying this last year when they were down 0-3. So no lol
The Celtics almost did it last year.
I would be perfectly fine with the Nuggets repeating 😎
I think It ends tonight, unfortunately. And I guess we won't ever see this comeback happening.
I love how this channel shows basketball history with pictures and stats from the 50s!?! 😮 Amazing. I sub. 👍🏽
Short answer no long answer no but with great content
I don't think so but still I gotta commend you for posting this, Jonny.
hello mr antimage
I think it will eventually happen, just like a #16 seed finally beating a #1 seed in the NCAA Tourny..... I just don't know how soon it will happen lol
If it happens eventually (which I think it will, although maybe not in my lifetime), there will probably be some key injury factor, or going ice cold into a shooting slump involved (or both).
In this series? No, not at all. It would be a miracle if it gets to a game 6, really. This Denver squad is legit, bigger than the Lakers (who are a big team themselves), has the best player in the league now (and for a few years), and THE biggest home court advantage with that altitude.
Can't believe you did not mention the fact that Boston was the only team from the ones discussed to actually have home court advantage in the deciding game 7.
i would be more confident if it was 3-2 or even 3-3. but I guess that isn't meant to be
Well it’ll be 3-2 after today

Attitude is key, LBJ says “it is just Basketball” while I agree that in the grand scheme of life basketball is just a game but when it is your job and you get paid millions … you need to have a competitive attitude and try to be your best. You can’t act the way LBJ does and think you’re going to win. James just sabotaged his whole team.
I don’t he thinks that he was literally screaming at his bench to challenge a call if he didn’t care he wouldn’t have done that

The Lakers have been dysfunctional this whole series. They’re not going to figure it out in time to save the series and neither LeBron nor AD can bail them out. It ends tonight. 118 - 105 Denver.
lol love that you put this out even tho not even 24 hrs later it could be clowned 💯. Real fan debates over hot takes any day
i hope so🙏😭
Im a big Laker fan, but there is no way they come back from this deficit. Unless Jokic is unable to play, they literally have no chance. Even with no Jokic it would be very difficult.
They don’t have Murray he’s inured so he won’t be 100%
Hey Jonny Arnett I’m a big fan , been subscribed since around 2022-2023 could you explore the what ifs of the early 2000s such as what if Robert horry missed that shot in 2002 or if he made it in 2003. or what if Chris Webber never got injured in 2003
Imagine if the Knicks actually pulled that off - “no team has ever come back from a 0-3 hole since New York”
Jonny I am a huge Laker fan. I thought Darvin Ham would be fired on Sunday. We would be lucky if this goes to 6
He won't get fired during the playoffs. The off-season maybe
You are simply the best, your research & presentation is unmatched. Truly appreciate your work.
The legacy of LeBron James would definitely go up if he can achieve this
Man, young Mutombo was a beast.
Man this Arnie Risen midrange layup was crazy. Underrated era.
It's all about focus, composure, and execution in the moment
If they win game two then I give it a 50/50 shot. Unlike most series where a team is down 3-0, the Lakers have arguably been the better team for most of the games in the series. They just choked down the stretch.
I’m a laker fan and this is disrespectful to the defending champs and best player in the league (Nikola Jokic). Him alone can lead the nuggets to a win tonight. Lebron is 39. Very different than 31 when he came back 3-1 vs warriors.
Refs tried to rig it for the Lakers… still lost
I think the Lakers need Arnie Risen if they stand a chance against the Nuggets.
can we please get a video on thoughts of the IBM Award?
and if it should come back and reformatted to be more of an Offensive Player Of The Year award
I could maybe see them push a Game 6 but i can’t imagine the Lakers winning. It is interesting to note though that they have the lead for a majority of the time in every game so if that continues and they manage to actually keep it, that would be their only chance of winning any more than Game 4 so far.
To win 4 straight, you have to definitively be the better team. The problem is, you don’t end up down 3-0 when you are the definitely better team.
Unless a key player is injured with a minor injury that affects their performance then becomes healthy over course of series, which could change the series
If it was someone else than the Nuggets they were facing, I would believe in my sunshine
Lakers: Get one win
Jonny: Can the Lakers be the first to come back from 3-0?
Not this playoffs, but given how the 3pt shot has introduced more variance into the game, I think a 0-3 comeback will probably happen in our lifetimes
The Lakers have had a big lead in every game so far, and I feel the first team to ever do it would resemble that.
I Can see a scenario where a dominant team has an injured mvp caliber player for the first 3 games causing a 3-0 deficit then when that player returns they came back to win 4 in a row to complete a 3-0 comeback
Someone’s bound to do it, right. all these games have been very competitive. Not likely but there is a chance we might see it this year
Thanks!
The nuggets really made the lakers think they had a chance lol
If the Lakers looks for a comeback series against the Nuggets, I am absolutely shocked.
As long as you see Dumbo Silver anything can be fix for Le Balco d Frod James.
If the nuggets let them get game 5 they might do it. But i expect them to end it tonight
A team has come back from a 3-0 deficit 4 times in the NHL and once in the MLB. I think it’ll happen eventually in the NBA, but who’s to say when. Could be this year, could be 50 years from now.
I guess Jamal has earned the nickname "LakerSlayer" for showing up when needed... 🏀🔫😎
Murray has a strained calf 😮
He's not been himself this whole series so he's probably had that injury this whole time and it hasn't mattered. MPJ has been more than capable of picking up the slack.
Both teams played hard
It's amazing how people forget how difficult winning is, especially in the playoffs. Taking four games in a row is already hard, but when you're already down three is damn near impossible, which is why it rarely happens.
So yeah, Lakers are screwed. Sorry.
I'd be surprised if they win another one. But if they do it would be like 2016 all over again x2.
Maybe if a billion playoff game is played then there might be an instance where a 10th seed wins both play-in games then go 16-0 in the playoffs and win a championship. Maybe if more than quadrillion game is played one day a team will be 100% FG, 100% 3pt, 0 turnovers and 0 fouls committed to win a game, add a few more dozens of 0s if they were to lose a game (where the other team probably do the same but score more points)
If a team is capable of doing it, it is this team. Keep in mind that the Lakers have dominated this series in every game. It's just that they short-circuited it somewhere in the 3rd or 4th quarter. So, they know how to beat the Denver nuggets. It's just a matter of staying mentally tough. With that being said, I doubt they would be able to win three more games.
Denver always wins second half.
Galveston it is
To win back from 0-3, it is good to have home court advantage and the best player on the floor. The Lakers have neither
I give it 0 chance of happening but I will note that he Lakers have led every game in this series and that is unusual. Maybe they figured something out and will be able to make it a series but the Nuggets have had their number , are the reigning champs and have the MVP. I do not see them falling in this series.
Just for fun (and because the NHL is my true sports love), even opening it up to other pro leagues that use best-of-7 playoffs, it's only been done five times: once in the MLB, and four times in the NHL.
I thought the 94 Nuggets would do it after they roared back vs top seed Seattle.
Then almost again vs Utah. Thought it was destined.
Didnt happpen though.
At some point it will happen. Some team up 3-0 will have a major injury to a star and the collpase will begin.
When the 2nd round starts can u do that (What does a championship mean) for each of the key players like last year
I'm under no illusions that it'll happen. Sure this series is probably 2-2 if that LeBron three goes in but that's a what if can only work with what is. This team hasn't shown any of the consistency needed from the role players and coach to win four games in a row against the best player in basketball and the defending champions.
I think u wanted to release this video after tonight lol
Lakers not coming back there’s so much context why lbj came back against the warriors but long story short he was younger but I do think it’ll happen one day but similar lucky things need to happen just like it did for Bron
"It's just basketball" says enough to me. Even though they can try, it is far from likely that they will achieve it if Lebron himself doesn't believe in it! This is, in fact, just basketball, but you can't say that at that moment
He literally said that because of a stupid reporter question😂
@@ComicEdits313 What was the question tho? Because you can't just say something like that lol
@@toshirohitsugaya857he was asked if there was pressure for the team to perform in the playoffs and he jus saying its jus basketball, basically its just a game so there shouldnt be that much stress or pressure compared to something more serious, in other words lakers have no excuse when it comes to pressure (theres your context)
@@littyagain9402 Okay, then yeah, the response is not wrong at all.
@@toshirohitsugaya857Yeah it wasn’t a bad response but people took the clip completely out of context
Tatum was shooting 21% in the 3 Celtics wins against the Heat ...
I came back froma 0-3 in 2K, the only way it is ever going to happen in real life:
My star player was injured and didn't play the first 3. Then he came back and I won
it’s possible to be honest they play the same intensity every night but the nuggets always have that longer stride than the lakers do who knows who can go longer
They just got gentlemen swepped, so I think the answer is no
I do believe eventually a team will come back from 0-3 … for one depends on injuries within that series.
But also it would take a team getting Red HOT very good chemistry or a great player going god mode.
If this were Lebron 5 years ago I’d say it’s possible.
But he’s too old
AD and rest of team is inconsistent.
Darvin Ham can’t coach
And nuggets are cohesive as a team it’s hard to beat them.
I think series ends tonight in blowout
I think they can , but I think they won’t!😂
If the Lakers win a series, this will be the first time a team from a 3-0 deficit to win a series in NBA history and the first team to did that since the 2014 L.A. Kings when they did against the Sharks in the first round of their playoffs.
Absolutely not but I definitely think it’s possible in the future seeing as the Celtics got that close. The Nuggets are just too much of a juggernaut to realistically lose 4 games in a row like that
🏀
I feel like we might see a 3-0 comeback in this playoffs season
Arnett you are ELITE!!! But I'm begging you do a video about 🐜 ANT!!! I'm a huge fan of Grim Reaper and DBook and even my athletes tell me that Bradley Beal has a SIMILAR GAME AS MINE (I'm OLDER thus is NOT my game that is similar to his... au contrary then) I'm HOPING 🐜 Anthony Edwards takes the 🐺 to the PROMISE LAND!!! After all he's His Airness "SON "💪🏼🏀
Just like when LBJ came back from 3-1…all he needs is Jokic to get injured 😂
The last time that the team has almost come out of 0 - 3 deflect in Playoffs that was LeBron James helped the Cleveland Cavaliers defeat the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals 2016.
Bron fan, but no. If he's at his prime, this is possible. Currently, he's 39 yrs old and showing signs of father time. There's no way for them to comeback, unless AD and DLo is consistent. I think the series will end later.
It may never happen once fatigue and exhaustion comes up with a deuce , you know that 20 or 10 point lead is no safe from the denver nuggets , barraging 2/3 points right in their faces.
So again , The Lakers might move on and make moves on a disappointing season with davis and lebron carrying the latter of the injury riddled season upon their instincts.
As a hardcore LeBron fan, I just don't think that THIS is the team he would have that could pull this off. As relatively even matchup as this is I don't think the nuggets will let that happen. As for the ever seeing it, I don't think I'll see it in my lifetime. If the Celtics, the higher seeded team at home, are against an 8 seed less talented Heat squad couldn't get it done then I don't think we will see it done anytime soon
It'll probably be a top 2 seed getting down 3-0 , if it ever happens. Say maybe jokic is out with injury for first 3 games , and comes back game 4 . Something like that. Otherwise , doubt it. But nba is known to influence games with refs , so if the story line is good enough they might just do it this year
It's over !!!!!!
As a bron fan they prolly losing but if they win, thatd be insane
1:53 looks like Austin reaves
only chance this will ever happen is if the superstar player from the team leading 3-0 gets injured and is out for the rest of the series
Laker fan and HELL NO
I really miss seeing Kobe on the court
I know in baseball Boston came back from 0-3 in 2004 or 3 to beat the Yankees but baseball seems to have more luck involved than basketball
