  • FF 27 I Style Star: Sajal Aly I Review: Generation I Screen Time: Next in Fashion I #AskAamna I AHI
AHI is Aamna Haider Isani and will bring to you the life, style and soul of my life.
The word AHI may be the acronym of my name, but it independently stands for a species of Hawaiian Tuna. Ahi is an apt name for me. As a Piscean, fish is my symbol and water my element.
But this channel isn't about astronomy. l'll be tapping into my 20-year career as a fashion journalist to cover fashion as a source of self-expression and body positivity. We'll have a little bit of fun in shows like Fashion Fortnightly. I'll be connecting with fashionable creatures in Meet the Muse and reviewing fun, new products in the short FIR - First Impression Review. Aamna 101 will take you into my life while The AHI Icon will bring you an exceptional person, whose story inspires.

Dear Anna! I am a mother of 4 living in uk and always wearing traditional ( shalwar, kameez etc), before watching your shows I have no fashion sense and now with your shows I have found my personal style which reflects in my clothing. So, thank you so much and keep it up with the good work. Love you.

Love the Style Star segment. Wouldn't mind it as a full episode. I find Sheharyar Munawar's style very interesting. Could we please do him as a Style Star? Also could we please have an interview with Jazib Qamar. Keep up the Amazing work Amna. I wait for the videos from the channel. Some times I see them popping up at work n smile n wait for my lunch break to check them out.

Generation's sizing: I completely agree with you Aamina. Every time I have bought a two piece from Generation, I have to order a shirt a size too big because the bottom is always tight on my pear-shaped body. Maybe they should also give us the option to order two pieces with different sizes. I always order online because I don't live in Pakistan

Which brand is better between Farah Talib Aziz or Ansab Jahangir? I’ve worn many FTA pieces, but haven’t tried Ansab Jahangir yet.
Also, can you please ask some of these brands to make more modest western dresses (full length dresses, full sleeve options, shirts that reach the mid thigh length, non-transparent clothing)?
Pakistan uses very good fabrics but I can’t wear desi clothes except for Eid or weddings. I’ve been ordering directly from Pakistani brands like Deepak Parwani, Saniya Maskatiya, Farah Talib Aziz, Zara ShahJahan, Khaadi, etc. for over 8 years. I would love more options!
And I totally agree that the sleeves and armhole BOTH need to be looser for each size category.

I find the problem with Pakistani actresses is that they rarely have their own distinct style. Either they're taking inspiration from others or straight up copying other's style or have no clue what to wear. A lot of actresses copy/take inspiration from MK and a few others. Only models seem to have their own personal style. Similarly, I find Sajal takes her inspiration from Mahira Khan with a tad bit of bohemian she throws in there. For example, the white kurta and churiyan and wearing sari's on formal events that's Mk's trademark since she came into the industry. . The peshwas Sajal is wearing was worn by MK as you pointed out, similarly, Sajal's black sari was also worn by MK earlier. Boheme was a brand that MK was seen wearing a lot during verna promotions. I'm not saying, you can't wear a kurta or a sari, or can't take inspiration, but I can't see their own personal style when they style themselves
Aamna, please do one episode with MK and ask her all about her fashion choices/personal style.

    • @imranaalam1
      @imranaalam1 Рік тому +3

Plz boheme is worn by urwa and Sanam mody even before Mahira , and of u see thr page Sajjal is a constant face more than anyone secondly Sajjal os very petite she even if try can’t copy other actress bec mostly are taller and broader than her , from o rang reza or even mehmoodabad ki malkain she is the one who changed a lot even her looks in dramas they are all different .

    • @MSari-ui7xe

I am overweight too but haven't really handled myself maturely to accept this yet when I see you,you come across as a the sole figure of inspiration....your impeccable diction, posture and style make you sparkle...Masha Allah may you keep glistening and being the source of inspiration to many like me....I agree I have not quite written much on fashion but you are so endearing...moreso your camaraderie with Hassan choudhury is amazing,...nazar na lage....
People like you make a difference to lives such a mine.
Always be the unique gem you are....

I love all your content Aamna! I'd like to ask 3 questions about white Pakistani clothing
    1. What shade of white is best suited for certain complexions - I have olive/yellow tone skin and find that I veer towards creams more than white as I can't seem to find the right kind of white - any help on this would be super
    2. What material in white is best for plus size/curve people other than cotton - I find linen sometimes can give a boxy bigger look - silk chiffon are they better?
    2. Can you please share where you got your birthday outfit that was white from - absolutely loved it #askaamna

Sajjal has talent enough for the rest of the industry tbh and while she will go on to win great accolades, there's one credit that she'd never manage to get and that's for her style...simply cuz she has none. Everyone gets it right once in a while, but I've seriously never seen her do that. And tbh, in her case, I feel like it doesn't even matter... she's perfect no matter what.

Before I ask anything, I want to say that I love both of your channels. I don't miss a single episode 🥰
Now, I have a Nikah function of a close relative coming up and I am planning on wearing a white outfit. It is a pressed gota dupatta with a long straight shirt, with the same pressed gota work, and plain white trousers. I was looking for jewelry to wear with and I came across a beautiful kundan choker set. Now that choker set is available in 2 colours. It comes in white beads and red beads. For some reason , I am leaning towards buying the choker set with red beads. Do you think a white outfit with red Kundan jewelry would look good (I am planning on wearing red lipstick too)? Or should I go with the white outfit and white Kundan jewelry look?? I need your opinion on that. Thank you 😊
    P.S.: I don't know if that matters but I am 40 😁

my question: is there a way to pull off a long sleeve sari with headscarf?

The sleeves would have to be very fitted. Almost like second skin so that attention is not drawn to them. And made of light material like chiffon maybe. Take a look at sajal sari in kuch unkahi. Amna also shared her look here. She is wearing full length net sleeves.

Hi Amna, I am living in the USA since 8 years. I did not get chance to go back to Pakistan since then. I really struggle to find Pakistani dresses here. Please guide which Pakistani brands ship to the US.

I am only watching this because of the beautiful cat Juno. You should do videos on her. It will be more popular than your other shows.😊❤😅

#AskAmna what to wear when you are top heavy? I only wear western unless I am in Pakistan and I don't wear prints.
