I think this is one that grows on you. I'd seen it at the dealer a few times.. then when the diver 65 12 hour came out (also with 400 movement) i went in to see if they had it and maybe buy. They did, but in the end I decided the case and bracelet on this one were worth getting this instead. It's distinctive, not just another diver, much as I like the look of the 65. My other Oris, a pointer date, also has a painted dial, and it's just a style.
I looked at this watch very closely earlier this year and nearly bought it. However, the lack of applied indices put me off. It really came down to that for me.
I really like it and will pick up one when the time (price is right). It's got a blend of modern and techno design influences with some refreshing minimalism. To me it stands out amongst all of the vintage inspired pieces and expensive but bland designs. Retro-futuristic or something lol. I like it...and I don't hate the dials either. My (much cheaper) Tissot PRX has nice silver markers, so I think Oris deliberately did that dial that way, its not a cost or laziness thing. Maybe it just appeals to some people. Still, the UA-cam watch community has collectively bagged the watch (they can have their Rolex's and G-shocks), so I'm waiting for prices to drop. Good video..new subscriber.
How do you like the ProPilot X?

Good review bro. I like the ProPilotx!
Thanks brother

Great insights!
Nice!
Nice looking watch.. if it was $300. It's a zelo style case with a boring dial. It's clean looking but doesn't look like an Oris.
Love Oris but not loving this piece. You were kind Alex, but we all know those dials are grossly uninspiring.
Grossly uninspiring is a bit harsh imo 😉 I’m just happy it’s not sunburst 😂
