Imagine... a Ghost ritual but rather than the gothic set they usually have behind them it's a full symphony orchestra. And they play an entire Ritual with symphonic backing. Like Metallica did with S&M, but with less Lars Ulrich. :)

the two very specific things i love most about this are a) the flute/piccolo at the beginning, as a flute player i feel very represented and b) the chimes throughout the song. its gorgeous
I do very much enjoy the textures provided by the flutes and piccolos, I don’t always have a chance to use them effectively in some of the heavier songs so I do try to use them where I can 🙂 same with the tubular bells, admittedly though I do use church bells more than I should 😅 Thanks for listening! 👻🖤

All songs are compositions but not all song writers are composers. I’ve always heard Tobias’ music as orchestral. I think he is just getting started on his musical arc. I see him going down in history as one of the greats. There is no limit to where he can take his career. Movie scores. Classical. Opera. The guy is a prodigy.
And to think that he wanted a career in Black Metal - I agree that he has indeed fallen into his element with Ghost, with this he’ll have the means to continue to grow as a composer.
I can picture Sabrina Spellman and her brother Matthew Spellman fighting against Damaius Morningstar this song in the background. We can see in the trailer a bright blue flaming light comes out of the sky and we see an angel. In my notes, the angel that emerges from the sky is Matthew Spellman himself. He sacrificed himself to save his sister, Damaius throws him into the fires of Hell but it turns out his soul doesn't descend but flies directly to the sky and armor appears around him and metallic angel wings and the sword he carried combines with the spear of destiny becoming the Sword of God. Matthew Spellman became Matthew the Angel.

Glad you enjoyed this one, you're correct about the timpani - I also wanted to add some extra textures in the more exposed parts too with some oboes, clarinets and flutes. I dont know if it's something you'd be up for, but I'd love if it if you made a sort of BTS making-of for one of the upcoming songs. It would be so cool to see your process :) Edit: Also, I don't know how possible it would be, but I'd like to request another Gojira song, the live performance of Where Dragons Dwell from Hellfest 2013. I think that's the definitive version of the song and that you'd be able to add so much. Not sure how well it would work being a live version where there are crowd sounds mixed with their performance, and I'm also fairly certain they didn't use a click track so their tempo might be imperfect. If not then the original studio version would be perfect as well :)

I'm glad you enjoyed this one, it was heavily requested so I felt it needed to be done! :D I could set up something through OBS and capture the important parts of the writing process, the end video would be very long though as it is a lengthy process but it's do-able. I'll have a listen to the Hellfest version of WDD and see if it would be ok sonically - a wonky tempo isn't too much of an issue, you'll be surprised at how many bands change tempo from section to section by 1-3 bpm even in their studio recordings for effect. Hey Arn! Hope you're keeping well! I'm glad you enjoyed this one, it was heavily requested so I felt it needed to be done! :D
I could set up something through OBS and capture the important parts of the writing process, the end video would be very long though as it is a lengthy process but it's do-able.
I'll have a listen to the Hellfest version of WDD and see if it would be ok sonically - a wonky tempo isn't too much of an issue, you'll be surprised at how many bands change tempo from section to section by 1-3 bpm even in their studio recordings for effect. Either way I'll put it on the list :)

Hi Rockhampton! I put the original track into a DAW and used Spitfire Audio Libraries to compose the orchestral parts and then mixed them together
