Wow, they pulled all the stops on this ride! No screens whatsoever on the ride, there's animatronics, there's a backwards portion on the ride, and a vertical drop. I'm impressed.
Right?? It’s literally exactly what I’ve been waiting for in a ride from...well pretty much anywhere. It’s 100% the ideal ride. It needs to be the reference point for any future projects. Lol.
@@ThemeParkGroupie I look forward to seeing how Disney utilizes storytelling in their upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy rollercoaster. Hopefully it's on this upward trend.

Yup! Exactly. That’s what I’m hoping to do next. Idk how the video will turn out, but I’m gonna see how a night ride will do. I’m looking forward to seeing how different the ride will feel at night.
The best thing about this is Universal finally learned it's lesson about using screens and went for animatronics instead. I'm not saying using screens isn't bad at all and if done right can be amazing, but most of the time it comes off as cheap not exactly immerse into what's going on. I think my only complaint about this ride is you don't really see that many magical creatures. If you look at the promotional video they showed a while back in the "dark forest" (which actually just looked like ET), they seemed to show more creatures you could encounter along the ride. I'm not saying they need to have a crap ton, but I wouldn't mind if maybe they used some random moving lights/projections to show the pixies moving/following you along the ride. This way it makes it interesting and at night it would make it pure awesome. The front lights on the bike could be used as projectors if they wanted to make it hidden.
True. To be honest, I think the ideal ride would be at night. I’m sure there’s plenty of light displays and such that it’s caught on a ride during the day. 🤷♂️ I’m going to attempt to get a night right in soon and I’ll be able to tell. 😁

Tbh, this was probably the most realistic out of all the videos i have seen on this ride. You actually feel like your on the ride. And you can actually see when it drops you down on the drop track. Nice job!
Cody McGowan Wow! That’s awesome that you were able to go back and ride. Lots of people have done this exact thing, but it didn’t work out for them to ride. That’s good to hear! 😁
No joke, we got to the park at 9:15 specifically for the new ride and the line was 7 hours long. We decided to go and do other things and walk around for a bit to see if it'll drop. It was like a 3 hour wait when we decided to take a chance and we were in the line for like 15 minutes and it started down pouring. So, my friend and me left to sit in the car, wait it out and our other friend waited in line. He waited in that line for 7 hours and they ended up closing the ride down turning people away, probably due to safety problems. They gave him a fast pass though for next time.
You get right to the end of the ride everything is amazing then you have a half assed unicorn? They need to add a background of like magical forest or lights that reflect of the unicorn or something to make the unicorn look special/ magical!!! as it just bring a dull ending to an amazing ride! Hope they update it! Amazing video Thankyou so much!!!
Yeah, tbh, I think the best experience for this ride has to be at night. I’m looking forward to riding it at night and I’m sure the unicorn spot will be a bit more magical with the lighting display and such. We’ll see. 🤷♂️
ThemeParkGroupie not being able to see everything in front of you except where the headlights shine, the darker show buildings without sunlight bleeding in.. totally agree this is a “dark” night right by design
When I got on this I was the luckiest man alive, the wait was and hour an a half, and then got the front row seat, the wind was amazing and felt like you where actually in hagrids moterbike
When I went, on the day after Christmas, the ride was only a 2 hour wait. And the line moved FAST. It didn't even feel like 2 hours. Not to mention, this is one of the best coasters ive been on.
celeste turner I’m the exact same way. I cannot STAND big drops. The closest thing to a big drop is a vertical drop, and that’s only a few feet and lasts a fraction of a second, so it’s not too bad.
Really? I'm always too scared to ride rollercoasters and I hate them. I'm afraid of the backwards moment and the drop. How intense is it? My parents are making me ride it when we go on Friday

ThemeParkGroupie I think having such a long sequence is a mistake. That (sort of) 3 dimensional video works really well in Forbidden Journey because it’s quick little bursts. To me, it looks like they fell in love with the tech and gave us a longer pre-show in Gringotts and now an even longer pre-show here. (I’m more impressed with the talking paintings tech.) At least for me, the longer these go, the less real they look. I would have suggested several shorter videos in different rooms to set the story. Or better yet a good animatronic as part of the queue. I get frustrated with Universal because they so close to really nailing things, then come up just short of true magic.
You’re so right! They very obvious do love that technology. Lol. I hope they wise up in the future. I’m curious how the storyline will be for the Velocicoaster. 🤔
Nothing like getting to the park 2 hours earlier than scheduled opening to sprint to this ride when the gates finally opened. Front car, first family of the day. Worth it.
This by far, was the best roller coaster I've ever ridden. The accelerations were phenomenal and the fact your upright riding a motorcycle makes it even better. Went Saturday on june 27th and no fast pass allowed. Virtual passes only with long intimidating lines due to social distancing of locker usage. The lines move fast and if you can avoid the lockers even faster. A 2 hour line ends up being 15 min max so we rode it over and over again. LOVE IT!!!
being a pass holder, getting in early and only waiting 2 hours was well worth it, the ride was spectacular the only thing I didn't like and agree with everyone on is the unicorns, they just don't seem as epic as most of the animatronics, i guess its because they really take a while to get past so you get too much of a good look at them, unlike the others in which they give you enough time to see what they are and be like wow that was cool but not too much like the unicorns and allow you to see how not as good they really are, other than that buitifull and intense ride new favorite and dare I say the best ride at the parks, better than the forbidden journey.
This...ride...is...everything. When you for real grab onto the handles like it's actually a motorcycle you feel like such a boss! Also I would argue holding on like that is better for back/neck support as well.
ThemeParkGroupie I’m going to Universal in September. This is definitely on my bucket list, as well as Rip Ride Rockit, Ripsaw Falls, *maybe* Doctor Doom (if I can get over my fear of drop towers), and Hulk.
Yes!!! I already know there is a drop, but I still go on, and I yell, “AHHH WHY DID I GET ON?!? WHY DID I GET ON?!? HELP ME!!!!” and then I scream when it drops lol
I am dead afraid of coasters and i watched this before going in the ride. Loved your video btw. I’d say go for it! It’s never that bad and most of the time people will tell you rides are so short you barely get a thrill before it’s over and this ride lasted well. I wished it lasted longer. Definitely a must do. They will secure you so well you won’t fall lol so what’s the fear? Plus the drop is amazing.
I am really proud of universal for bringing the park from the dead after Kong, Fallon, and furious left a bad taste in everyone’s mouths thus killing the park. Hagrid was the last chance for universal to redeem themselves. They pull it off so well, so beautifully and in an extremely fun and stylish way. This is the universal that I used to know! Practical sets, and innovation around every turn. Believable animatronics, gorgeous sets and more, make me have hope for universal again! I haven’t been a fan of these parks for years. Disney has been my go to. But hagrid has dazzled my expectations and I have hope for universal again! A lengthy ride time, a fun story. And heart. What more do you want? This ride has it all. They innovate and pull it off Incredibly well. I’m a story kind of guy and the coaster has all of the story that I need. The attraction doesn’t come without its problems however. The animatronics, while dazzling are still nowhere near as ground breaking as Disney. But I not complaining. They are still very well done and add a lot of charm to the ride. Without them, the ride would be nothing. Another fault is the pre show. Not because it is a screen but because Universal preshows lately have been riddled with cringe dialogue and wobbly acting. This pre show is no different. Robbie gives a dull lifeless performance and the entire scene leaves me scratching my head, wondering if they had used the first take with the actors. The last issue is nit picky. It has to do with theming. The theme is groundbreaking, marvelous and well done. But nowhere near as gorgeous as Disney. Wires are noticeable, to many lights are in clear view and the forest feels a bit empty in certain places. Hopefully it will grow in, sometime in the future. Nevertheless, the new attraction is a must do for any universal fan or theme park fan in general. It brings innovative technology, a return to practical effects and a heart warming story that contains a load of magic. The nit picks do not ruin the ride whatsoever. I just hope that universal polishes future preshows for the upcoming attractions. If you can pull this off, universal will be back on the map.
Wow, thank you so much for this. I agree about the preshow. In their defense, (I’m not 100% sure, but...) I heard that Robbie is permanently in a wheelchair and experiencing serious medical issues. They may have just got his dialogue with him seated and pasted it on a CGI body. Just presuming, but... 🤷♂️ They planted thousands of trees, so it’ll just get more and more full in the forest. 😁
This ride is garbage. It's a slow, lame version of the superior Cheetah Hunt at Busch Gardens. The theming is as bad as Six Flags. Zooming past sidewalks and grass? Have they seen how much better the 40 year old Thunder Mountain (at Disney World) looks? People are jumping up and thrilled because there aren't any projection screens -- Wow, is that it? The vertical drop is a whopping 17 feet -- Why even bother? The sets look cheap. The reversing coaster is same old things as Revenge of the Mummy and Expedition Everest. Just a garbage ride -- its predecessor was superior.
@@LakeHowellDigitalVideo Have you actually been on it? The theming is definitely better than Six Flags. The old Hogwarts ruins look amazing, and the landscape will eventually grow in. The Devil's Snare drop is a unique ride element for Florida (I believe) and is sure to impress the unsuspecting GP. The whole ride looks like a lot of fun.
@@porsche911sbs Well, it's also the brand. The builder of Hagrid's is Intamin, which is NOT known for making reliable roller coasters. A channel called Themeparkreview loves to mock them because they make so many coasters in Europe and they are horrible and unreliable.
I waited almost 8 hours to ride this ride and then they decided to ENTIRELY shut down for the day because of the weather. So here I am. Watching POV's of it instead. I'm sad I wasn't able to actually ride it, but it looks spectacular.
My husband and I did this ride back in March when we were there celebrating our one year wedding anniversary. It was the ONLY roller coaster he was able to get me on. I don't handle roller coasters very well so just this one was enough to scare me into hysterics.
I was so lucky to experience this ride for the first time on the front row and I love this ride this is literally my favorite rollercoaster of all time
I had to do a bit of stop-n-go but at 5:37 you see the swappable section of track that slides over as you head up the hill and "run out of power" so on the way down you go straight, then at 5:53 you see the arc section moved to the left. Very clever. I do wish they could disguise the workings a bit - probably looks better in the dark.
Yeah, I think that’s the ideal ride. About 10 years from now (letting the landscape build up), riding at night during the rain is the perfect scenario. 😂🙌
SAME! This was the very first ride we did when went to Universal, and I was NOT expecting the backwards portion NOR the vertical drop! It also went a lot faster than I expected. However, it was A LOT of fun!
Took this ride about 3 months ago in Orlando. This video is soooo far away from the experience itself. It absolutely smashed the first place for any coaster I’ve riden in my life.
Although the recording looks fine when you're on the ride it feels like 20 times faster! I felt horrible but now looking forward to ride it again. Best roller coaster so far. 😃😁
OBSESSED with this ride! Went on this past Sunday and waited 3.5 hours bc of it breaking down a bit, and then again on Tuesday and got in and out in an hour! Said 120 mins but in reality it was 60! LOVE this one so much. Rode motorbike side both times and it was WORTH IT
Renan Abreu yeah, I get it. I don’t wanna say “it was worth the 10 hour wait” but it’s a really awesome ride that I enjoyed despite waiting for so long. And yeah, flight of the passage is one of the greatest rides of all time.
Tips for the line waiting - Once you enter the castle from the outside expect the wait to be an hour and 10- an hour and 15 minutes. Single rider line goes straight into the final stretch but is very very slow. At the top of the stairs of single rider (inside the castle) it took just over an hour. The shortest times for the ride were generally an hour to an hour and a half after it opens -- I saw the time as low as 110 minutes. When I rode it yesterday it said 180 minutes outside the ride but, the line started just outside the castle which means it is only about 75 minutes so don't always pay attention to what it says. For the record, my first time I went I waited 150 minutes and it was worth every second!!! Have fun.
NOPE, never happens. It's a FOUR hour wait from the very outside to where you get to the preshow. I gave up and left the line. One of the most problematic rides Universal has ever made. Even the Velocicoaster doesn't have these issues.
To be honest, i rode this for the first time not too long ago and i must say its a great ride! Im waiting for the lines to get shorter so i can stop burning in the florida heat and so the ride wont break down as much. When i went there, the ride broke down a lot even during my ride and the animatronic was off time. Still a great ride!
I know! I sure hope Universal gets a nice taste of what it’s like to put out quality rides as opposed to the 3D rides they’ve been pumping out recently. 😅 This has absolutely blown up and I love it! 😍
By ‘a difference from Disney’s Star Wars’, do you mean that Galaxy’s Edge is worse than this? Because I don’t think you’ve experienced the level that Galaxy’s Edge is at. I mean... GE has blown everything out of the water technologically and in immersion, and it isn’t even finished yet. Just because the current ride is a simulator doesn’t mean it isn’t as impressive at this. I’d argue all day long that this is much less impressive than what Galaxy’s Edge has, although the comparison is uneven; Smuggler’s Run is a live-rendered simulator. An exact replica in all ways to the real Millennium Falcon. It’s being compared to the ultimate video game on steroids, being that it literally has an almost endless amount of stories and potential outcomes depending on what you do. If one of the people on your ride doesn’t do their job or doesn’t do certain things, you can actually end up ‘failing your mission’ and get a whole new storyline. It is the polar opposite, in absolutely a ways, to a basic simulator (a ‘basic simulator’ being defined as, sitting in a seat while being shaken around and having some extra effects synchronized to a random film that repeats over and over no matter what you do). It is one of the most high tech rides to have ever been made. This ride is great, don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying it isn’t - but it’s nothing new either. It’s almost identical in some ways to Verbolten at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, with some similarities track-wise to Expedition Everest. Universal has finally gotten on *par* with Disney, based on what I know from visiting them. And I’m happy for them. However, Disney, at least, has always made their simulators... almost, I would say, anti-simulators in themselves. Instead of it being a box, 3-D glasses, and a screen like Universal and other places have always done, their simulators have always been top notch, raising the bar, super immersive, and brand new for their time, starting with ones such as Soarin’. Apples and oranges to me, but that’s just my opinion. By no means am I saying that you’re wrong or that this isn’t good. It is pretty awesome. It shows that Universal is finally changing their ways and putting in a lot more effort towards theme and immersion. But, like I said, it really is not anything new. Bias aside, Disney mastered this a long time ago... so you can’t compare. Ya know what I mean?
@@Emily-yl9oz GE was a letdown for me. The entrances barely looks like Star Wars and why this isn't Tattooine circa the Galactic Civil War is mindblowing. Generic music not from Star Wars plays next to Jurassic Park insect noises (I'm in Star Wars???? Could've fooled me). The plot makes no sense that random Resistance ships are randomly all over the same place (and why are they just randomly parked all over the place again??) that Kylo Ren is permanently hanging out in and doesn't seem to care about. Stormtroopers don't seem to mind the Falcon chilling in Docking Bay 7. SR is a weak ride made even weaker if you're anything but pilot and I can not for the life of me realize why we're not doing a mission from the movie like oh I don't know, taking out the Second Death Star, instead of a random, short container heist (???). The milks are just BARELY passable, and are clearly in no way what they're supposed to be in the movies (pretty sure Luke's not drinking a diabetic, tropical frosty for dinner on his farm), Oga's Cantina is a WILD disappointment, a small circular room selling $15 sugar bombs that plays non-Star Wars songs from a droid DJ not from the movies. Not a Max Rebo or Modal Node in sight, in fact no aliens or bounty hunters ANYWHERE in the whole land. Just humans and human tourists. zzzzzz. give me tattoine with the real cantina, figrin d'an playing all day, fights and shootouts acted out regularly, bounty hunters and aliens everywhere, jabba letting you eat in his sit down restaurant palace to watch the rancor fights, dancing slaves and sarlacc executions, a boonta eve pod race roller coaster like a faster hagrids in the desert, and a SR where you take off in the falcon to join the battle of endor to win the galactic civil war. Star Wars land writes itself. Somehow Disney thought their fanfiction would be better but right now its a mess.
Looks like so much fun!!! In December I was at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and rode Verbolten, since then I've been so fascinated by the drop tracks. From the videos I've seen of the drop tracks they're all indoors when it happens, makes it more surprising when it drops. With this it seems as soon as you stop then it drops, with Th13teen at Alton Towers video it drops pretty quick as well, but with Verbolten you're just sitting there for 20 to 30 seconds before it drops, it makes for anticipation to build of thinking the wall is going to open up and then really get you by surprise when it drops straight down 15 feet. My mind was so blown.
@@ThemeParkGroupie Yes, you really should. Verbolten was amazing!!! From watching videos I didn't think much of it, but I rode it and LOVED IT!!! It's heavily themed which makes the experience better. If I ever go to Universal I'd definitely ride this coaster, looks amazing!
I was so upset about dueling dragons going away since I was only brave enough to ride it a few times before it’s close. And knowing how universal does a lot of 3D rides I was so afraid we would just get another 3D ride instead of the amazing coaster that was before it. But hearing about the new ride to be a roller coaster I wasn’t as mad anymore and once I actually got the chance to ride this, let me say it was exceptional. I was on the motorcycle seat and it was so fun. I was sad of loosing dueling dragons, but Hagrid’s motorbike coaster sure is a great ride.
Omg cant beleive me and my sister and our friends waited 4 and a half hours just to get on this ride, but its worth it! SO fun and its way more thrilling in person! I went on the motorbike bit of it and my friend was in the seat... reason i'm mentioning that is cause the motorbike makes you feel like you need to hold on for dear life! So fun, and many unexpected things happen!!! ;)
Iestyn Davies 🤣 I actually had to end it because it just played the music continuously and I ain’t about to get a copyright strike. 🤷♂️ I use a pair of recording glasses. Phones weren’t allowed since it’s a loose article. 😁
This looks very immersive, and I see it as a step in the right direction for Universal...although it does seem rather tame for an Intamin launch coaster, and I was honestly expecting *more* creatures. That being said, I'm very glad an Intamin multilaunch is going in just a few hundred feet away. I think the Jurassic coaster will be amazing and replace the thrill factor of Dragon Challenge.
Yeah, it is thrilling, but I wouldn’t necessarily call it a “thrill ride” when you compare to others, but the launches are quite intense. 😅 I’m sooo ready for some new Jurassic Coaster details. 😍
My brother and I waited like 2 and half hours to get on this ride. Then it stopped right after Hagrid's Hut for about 5 minutes. BUt after that it was probably the best ride I'd been on all day!
3.5 hours on the line, but totally worth. It was really a thrill. The unicorn was a downer, but everything else made up for it. A must go for those who enjoy coasters
Great video! I'm a new subscriber now! Haven't been to Universal in a long time. Can't wait to go back. So glad there no screens. Seems like they have been depending on that a lot lately and I don't like it. Thanks for sharing.

We’ll see. 🤷♂️
ThemeParkGroupie oh yes!! Let us know please! Going in October but still an amazing ride and your video was so good quality so Thankyou!
You’re more than welcome! I’m glad it came out the way that it did. 😁 Hopefully that time will flyyy by.
ThemeParkGroupie not being able to see everything in front of you except where the headlights shine, the darker show buildings without sunlight bleeding in.. totally agree this is a “dark” night right by design
Cgbrian Yup! For sure. My original intention was just to ride it the first time at night, but didn’t work out that way. 😅 Lol.
May I use this footage in a video I'm making about the most expensive roller coasters? I will give your channel full credit.
Yeah, sure thing. 👌👌
Found you!
Hi
Absolutely! No prob. 😎
That hagrid animatronic is INCREDIBLE, this ride looks so amazing! 🥲
It is! Hopefully you can come experience it for yourself soon. 🤞
When I got on this I was the luckiest man alive, the wait was and hour an a half, and then got the front row seat, the wind was amazing and felt like you where actually in hagrids moterbike
Right?? I’ve only ever ridden it this one time, but I can’t imagine any other seat being any better than this one. Absolutely amazing ride. 🤩
Alright, you are probably are the luckiest man alive if you got an hour and a half wait on that coaster.
sorry about my name same that’s exactly what happened to me but I didn’t care
Amazing ride
Okay, I'm freaking out because we FINALLY get to see Blast Ended Skrewts, something we never got to see in GoF (my personal favorite book).
You have to ride!!! It’s so much fun!
When I went, on the day after Christmas, the ride was only a 2 hour wait. And the line moved FAST. It didn't even feel like 2 hours. Not to mention, this is one of the best coasters ive been on.
Justin Ball Right?? It’s not the most intense coaster ever, but it’s still incredible. It’s definitely my all time favorite ride. 🤩🙌
today currently it’s 6.5 hours
jordan tyler No wayyy! 😱
ThemeParkGroupie i’m still waiting
@@jordan-rene Hope you have a great ride! Let me know what you thought of it! 😁
Don’t let Disney hear you calling them Animatronics!
They are known universally as animatronics. Disney just coined the audio animatronic name
Iestyn Davies they are all referred to as animatronics
He said aminatronics, totally different thing.
Audio-Animatronics and Autonomatronics are Disney. Animatronics is everybody else ;-)
Yeah it’ll look more like a forest
We went on this during our trip! So much fun! Especially that surprise element ;)
I know! It just comes out of no where. 😳🎢
As a person who hates rollercoasters and has ridden this one, it’s incredible 10/10 loved it
Awesome! So cool that you enjoyed it. I agree. 10/10. 🤩🙌
are there any big drops? i don’t rlly like the feeling of my stomach leaving my body but i rlly wanna ride it 😂 so i was just wondering
celeste turner I’m the exact same way. I cannot STAND big drops. The closest thing to a big drop is a vertical drop, and that’s only a few feet and lasts a fraction of a second, so it’s not too bad.
GA9GA3XY thank you!!!
Really? I'm always too scared to ride rollercoasters and I hate them. I'm afraid of the backwards moment and the drop. How intense is it? My parents are making me ride it when we go on Friday
Hey, guys! The ride starts at 3:41.

That video pre-show with Weasley and Hagrid goes on a bit, doesn’t it?
Yeah, it does. It helps hold the crowds for a little bit, so I guess it’s okay. 😁
the ride was so fun, the drop caught me off guard
Right?? I even knew about the drop before I rode and it still got me. 🤣
This ride is a LOT faster than it looks. Definitely recommend going to it! Waited an hour and a half in the heat but it was so worth it! 🥰
It is! Those launches get me every tiiiime! 🤩🏍💨
Lol! Start listening at 5:25! All i can hear is “i didnt think they’de take all of ya to the f***en forest” 😂
Nothing like getting to the park 2 hours earlier than scheduled opening to sprint to this ride when the gates finally opened. Front car, first family of the day. Worth it.
Yesss! This man knows how to do it. 👌😂
LOVE IT!!!
Wow! That sounds like an incredible day. 🤩
being a pass holder, getting in early and only waiting 2 hours was well worth it, the ride was spectacular the only thing I didn't like and agree with everyone on is the unicorns, they just don't seem as epic as most of the animatronics, i guess its because they really take a while to get past so you get too much of a good look at them, unlike the others in which they give you enough time to see what they are and be like wow that was cool but not too much like the unicorns and allow you to see how not as good they really are, other than that buitifull and intense ride new favorite and dare I say the best ride at the parks, better than the forbidden journey.
Agreed and agreed! It quickly moved the other rides out of the way. Definitely my favorite ride right now. 😁🤩🎢
I read on Theme Park Review’s Twitter, that the line was 8 hours!
Oh wow.
Yup! The app said 600min at one point. 😂 TMs were saying 8.5hrs.
Yup it was that long specially with the attraction closing multiple times for weather
@@jtbackup4553 it got up to 10 hours! Insane!!
@@ferinsternett9698 I want to know what you do inline for 10 hrs without a bathroom. Dehydrate yourself before you go?
That’s Awesome!!! Thanks so much for posting! Looks so worth it!! We are super excited!!!
Completely worth the 4hrs of sleep and 5hr wait! 😂😍😅
This...ride...is...everything. When you for real grab onto the handles like it's actually a motorcycle you feel like such a boss! Also I would argue holding on like that is better for back/neck support as well.
Haha! You’re so right. 🤩🙌
That backwards part looks terrifying! You go straight up and right back down!
I know! It’s so good tho. 🤩
Honestly ? U barely even feel it like thats what was holding me on this ride and like its not even relevant fr💀
Using my last 2% of battery to watch this.
*I regret nothing.*
Haha! Wellllll worth it!!! 😍
ThemeParkGroupie Ikr. I’m charging now tho.
ThemeParkGroupie I’m going to Universal in September. This is definitely on my bucket list, as well as Rip Ride Rockit, Ripsaw Falls, *maybe* Doctor Doom (if I can get over my fear of drop towers), and Hulk.
You can do iiiiit! It’s more of the launch than the drop. It’s not like Tower of Terror. It doesn’t focus on the drops as much.
ThemeParkGroupie Ok! I’m fine on launch coasters so I’ll be fine on Doctor Doom.
i went on that ride and it was RAINING! its so so fun o really loved the speed and the little fall it has!
Riding when it’s raining it the ultimate way to ride, IMO. So cool! 🤩🙌
ThemeParkGroupie yep! it is definitely worth the wait!
lola uwu went on a few days ago and the gloomy rainy weather made the ride experience so much better it was awesome
You know it’s a good roller coaster when they start clapping and the end
Exactly! It’s sooo good. 🤩
The floor drop gets me every time
😂😂😬😬
I knooow! 🤣 I love it!!
Its a drop track not a floor drop
This very similar to Verbolten in my opinion
Thanks! Glad you liked it. 😁 Yes, I agree! It was a good length, but I wish it could last longer too. 😭 Such an amazing ride.
ThemeParkGroupie Yeah, Robbie is in a lot of pain. If it is his body, he’s giving it his all. That’s all we can ask for.
ThemeParkGroupie I heard that he has issues as well. Poor guy :(
This ride is garbage.
The whole ride looks like a lot of fun.
just rode this for the first time Saturday, 3 hour wait bc of technical difficulties but SOOOO worth the wait, best ride ever.
I completely agree!! It can get frustrating, but the ride is worth it every time! 🤩🙌
I can see why it's unreliable. Tons of moving parts.
@@porsche911sbs Well, it's also the brand. The builder of Hagrid's is Intamin, which is NOT known for making reliable roller coasters. A channel called Themeparkreview loves to mock them because they make so many coasters in Europe and they are horrible and unreliable.
@@largol33t1 They may be unreliable but the Hagrid's Motorbike coaster is an amazing ride. One of the best roller coasters I've ever been on.
I waited almost 8 hours to ride this ride and then they decided to ENTIRELY shut down for the day because of the weather. So here I am. Watching POV's of it instead. I'm sad I wasn't able to actually ride it, but it looks spectacular.
Nooo! I’m sorry. 😭 That’s terrible. These things happens when rides first launch, unfortunately. 😩
😂
Tried again today. Waited another five hours. Still didn't get through because of the weather. 😭
Whaaat? No way. 😭
I would suggest going to guest services and explaining. They should be able to give you something. 🤷♂️
I did it at night and the experience was...AWESOME!(Reccomed waited 2 hours)
I can’t wait to have a night ride! 😍🤩
My husband and I did this ride back in March when we were there celebrating our one year wedding anniversary. It was the ONLY roller coaster he was able to get me on. I don't handle roller coasters very well so just this one was enough to scare me into hysterics.
That drop gets me every time. 😅
Be awesome if they made a ride out of the knight bus
Petition to remove Fast & Furious and make a Knight bus ride?? 🙋♂️
I was so lucky to experience this ride for the first time on the front row and I love this ride this is literally my favorite rollercoaster of all time
Front row is great and the ride is just incredible! 🤩
It’s my favorite ride because it’s so refreshing. Waited an hour for it
Worth every minute too! 😁😁🙌
I'm not big on roller coasters, but I LOVED this ride! I had so much fun riding it!
For real! It’s incredible! 🤩
Who would dislike this video?👎? That's rubbish! It deserves 👍+ 320 more than it does now! It's bloody wicked!
Haha! Thanks, man. 🤣 That’s a lot of dislikes though. 😳😰
Good job bro. Did the ride justice with this video. Thanks for sharing!
That means a lot. Thank you! 😁
@@ThemeParkGroupie Im a member of the Tech team that built this ride and its an honor to be a part of everyones experience!
Wow, really?? 😳 Well thank YOU for helping contribute to this experience. I just want to ride and ride and ride. 🤩
The one thing this video doesn't capture is how truly epic the acceleration bits are, you go FAST AF
Right?? The gusts are so intense! I love it. 🤩🤩
I went there today,
WHEN I TELL YOU I DIED
Oh no! 🙈
SAME! This was the very first ride we did when went to Universal, and I was NOT expecting the backwards portion NOR the vertical drop! It also went a lot faster than I expected. However, it was A LOT of fun!
Faith Vieira Right?? It’s so good. 🤩
SAME!
Rode this twice while my husband and I were at Universal last week, SO worth the waiting in line. Video and off-ride POV doesn't do this ride justice.
You’re so right! This ride is absolutely amazing! 😍
Took this ride about 3 months ago in Orlando. This video is soooo far away from the experience itself. It absolutely smashed the first place for any coaster I’ve riden in my life.
Saaame! Favorite ride ever!!
The video does not do this ride justice. Best ride universal has ever made
Agreed!! 🏍💨
Ahhh, thank you so much for this! The ride looks brilliant~ hoping id get to try it in real life someday x
You’re welcome! 😁 I’m sure you will. It is WORTH the trip. 🤩
It seems like that this ride nailed the visual sensation of flight like you saw in the movies.
Also, RIP Robbie Coltrane
It really did. Especially at night. Such an epic ride. Rip 💔
Honestly, I miss the dueling dragon ride that was there before Hagrid’s ride. Though this ride looks great.
I know! I miss it too. 😭 This was an amazing addition to the park though.
Hoping the raptor coaster is the same kind of coaster as DD..I liked the feeling of hanging..then again it probbaly wont be since raptors dont fly...
Rode this 3 times.. the funnest ride ever!! Definitely funner at night, my opinion.
I just rode it a few hours ago at night! My first night ride ever! I completely agree! 🤩🙌🎢
Amazing ride, i was there 4 days ago and I'm still impressed, loved it a lot!
Right?? I can’t wait to go back and try it again. 🤩 It’s the BEST.
Best vid i have seen so far. Subscribed!
Thanks! 😁 Means a lot.
You. Saeck
Grant Z is this the only video you have ever watched!? 😂
That vertical drop blew my mind
Right?? 😱
Great you can go to Busch Gardens Williamsburg and ride Verboten which has the same drop and a wait time under half this rides
Although the recording looks fine when you're on the ride it feels like 20 times faster! I felt horrible but now looking forward to ride it again. Best roller coaster so far. 😃😁
It’s so true! The video does NOT give you the same feeling. Everyone has GOT to ride it themselves. It’s incredible!
That ride is sick. Worth the 3+ hour wait.
Definitely! I’m so happy that this is here now. 🙌🤩
That acting from Hagrid is supreme.
😅😅
Great camera work, I love that steady shot.
Ha! Thanks a lot. 😁🎥
Btw, I just updated the description with the equipment used in the video. 😁
OBSESSED with this ride! Went on this past Sunday and waited 3.5 hours bc of it breaking down a bit, and then again on Tuesday and got in and out in an hour! Said 120 mins but in reality it was 60! LOVE this one so much. Rode motorbike side both times and it was WORTH IT
That’s so cool! It really is my favorite attraction now. It’s sooo stinkin’ good! 🤩
I waited 10 hours for this ride opening day. I kid you not, 10 hours... it was so worth it
Shaun Boothe so you paid over $100 to ride 1 ride. Universal Studios thanks you.
Stephen McAllister lol I have an annual pass, I go all the time
Haha! Yeah, a lot of people don’t understand the annual pass thing. Doing that on a day pass would be terrible. 😂😭 I agree though. TOTALLY worth it!
Even with an annual pass I wouldn’t wait 10 hours for Flight of Passage which is 100 times better than this ride, no ride is worth that long wait.
Renan Abreu yeah, I get it. I don’t wanna say “it was worth the 10 hour wait” but it’s a really awesome ride that I enjoyed despite waiting for so long. And yeah, flight of the passage is one of the greatest rides of all time.
I love this ride! Me and my cousin went on it and the whole time I was screaming! THIS IS AWESOOOOOME!
Haha! It really is AWESOME!
Have fun.
dbadner74 THANK YOU FOR THIS! 🙌
You and me both! I can’t wait to just ride and ride! They seem to still have so many issues. Hopefully they’ll iron it all out soon. 😁🎢
What a cute intro with Hagrid!!! I am SOOOO IMPRESSED!! What a difference from Disney's Star Wars this is. Universal A+
Somehow Disney thought their fanfiction would be better but right now its a mess.
this ride is WAY better at night. me and my friends got surprised when the ride just goes full speed at the beginning
Ugh. I want to ride at night so badly. 😭 I’ve tried several times, but they always close it early. It’s frustrating. 😩
The most amazing coaster I think I have ever seen! Thanks for posting
You’re so right! I am in looove with this ride! 😍 You’re totally welcome!
The video doesn’t do this justice. It’s a lot faster than it looks. I was able to go on this twice today thanks to covid and it was AMAZING
It’s so fun! 🤩
This rides looks so so good - at 06:10 you might think its over, but the final kick comes :D
Haha! For real! When riding it, it felt like such a long ride. I just want to ride it over and over again! 😭
Thanks because no one else has ACTUALLY shown the ride through
Anytime. 👌😁
Nice video man. I wish you the best for your channel; you seem to be doing everything right!
Thanks a lot! 😁 That’s super encouraging. Just want to put out quality material for everyone. 🙌🎥
Ah! So cool! I’ve heard so many compare these two rides. I definitely gotta give Verbolten a shot. 🤩🎢
Can’t wait to ride this in a couple weeks!
Hopefully the crowds will die down a little before then. It’s sooo worth the wait though. 😍
“Yer a wizard Harry!”- Rubeus Hagrid
👌👌
I was so upset about dueling dragons going away since I was only brave enough to ride it a few times before it’s close. And knowing how universal does a lot of 3D rides I was so afraid we would just get another 3D ride instead of the amazing coaster that was before it. But hearing about the new ride to be a roller coaster I wasn’t as mad anymore and once I actually got the chance to ride this, let me say it was exceptional. I was on the motorcycle seat and it was so fun. I was sad of loosing dueling dragons, but Hagrid’s motorbike coaster sure is a great ride.
I agree it does not disappoint!
So fun, and many unexpected things happen!!! ;)
I knooow! It’s such an amazing experience. 😍 People that watch this without riding just can’t understand how great of a ride this really is. 😳
I can’t believe that they let you film it. I was watching your stream saying that it will most likely not happen but it did!
I know! It worked out perfectly! 😍 Half of these views are just me rewatching, because... I LOVE THIS RIDE SO MUCH! 😂🤣 I want to ride it right noooow!
I doubt he had permission to film it, hence the sudden end of filming before he renters the station!
Iestyn Davies 🤣 I actually had to end it because it just played the music continuously and I ain’t about to get a copyright strike. 🤷♂️ I use a pair of recording glasses. Phones weren’t allowed since it’s a loose article. 😁
if an employee or press posted this before the ride opened then it would be taken down. now its open you can film.
gisforgary This. ☝️😁
That last launch looks amazing
It so is! 😍🤩🎢
@@ThemeParkGroupie SAME. I'm really glad to see Intamin coming back stateside in a big way.
My brother and I waited like 2 and half hours to get on this ride. Then it stopped right after Hagrid's Hut for about 5 minutes. BUt after that it was probably the best ride I'd been on all day!
Right?? Long waits and lots of ride issues, but still the best ride in the park. 😍
Rode it today.. Worth the wait, the hype, and $135
Right?? It’s absolutely incredible. 😳
3.5 hours on the line, but totally worth. It was really a thrill. The unicorn was a downer, but everything else made up for it. A must go for those who enjoy coasters
Agreed! I love that it’s an awesome coaster for those that like coasters and theming for those that love theming. It’s perfect in my opinion. 😍
Trust Hagrid to make a roller coaster with an unfinished end lol
For real. 🤣
I’m sorry I cannot see how this is better than the absolute masterpiece that dragon challenge was.
Have you ridden it? It’s pretty great. Hard to compare, but I definitely find myself riding this way more than I did DC. 🤷♂️
Boy this coaster has like 8 launches omg
7 to be exact. 🤩 Such a great coaster.
Rode it twice in July, the sign said 120 minutes, only took us an hour both times! Awesome ride!!!!!
Wow, so cool! It really is a great ride. 😁😁🙌
Que incrível experiência de diversáo para os fãs como minha família!! Já compartilhei!🤗
¡Fue tan divertido! ¡Gracias!
Nice capture, it was a fun place to play minigolf!!
Great video! I'm a new subscriber now! Haven't been to Universal in a long time. Can't wait to go back. So glad there no screens. Seems like they have been depending on that a lot lately and I don't like it. Thanks for sharing.
No problem and thanks a lot! 😁🙌 Means a lot. I totally agree. I’m hoping the new Jurassic Park (Maybe “World”) coaster follows in this ride’s footsteps. I would be completely fine with 10 more of these. 😅 lol
