Transcript for: How to know if you're saved. Is Christ formed in you? Hi there friend, this is Lee Poskey. This morning I woke up with the joy of the LORD in my heart and a thought occurred to me that I want to share with you that I'm confident is going to help you. Do you know that I never wonder anymore whether or not I'm saved? There's a reason why I don't wonder that anymore, and that knowledge is what I'm about to pass on to you now so that you can examine yourself in an accurate way and know for sure where you really stand with God. I remember a Christian radio show that I used to listen to say one time that the number 1 question they get asked is "how can I know if I'm saved?" So no doubt, this is an issue that a lot of people have on their minds. There's a lot of tests for salvation in the Bible. Do you have the Spirit of Christ in you? Do you love Jesus? Do you believe in Jesus? Do you love the brethren? They're all accurate tests of course, and every genuine born-again Christian would answer yes to all of those questions. But so would a lot of unsaved and deceived pentecostals and catholics as well. So I'm going to tell you how I know that I'm saved. This isn't some sort of formula that I came up with to make this message, this is what I experience every day in real life. I would ask you a question that comes from Galatians 4.19. Has Christ been formed in you? If you're immersed into most of religion out there, you probably don't have the type of assurance that I enjoy, because most of religion has you looking at your behavior to test whether or not you're saved. But I ask you, has Christ been formed in you? What do I mean by that? First, was there a time when you were undone from within over the evil that you are? Second, did you find refuge in Christ as your Saviour? And lastly, Have you come to rest in the finished work of Christ? Let me explain what that means. * Are you resting in the fact that you're fully forgiven of all sin. God isn't issuing ongoing sin-forgiveness to you, because He's put away all of your sin on Christ. Colossians 2.13 "And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;" Revelation 1.5 "And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood," * Are you resting in that you're fully sanctified, fully holy, right now? 1 Corinthians 6:11 “And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” Hebrews 10.14 "For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified." * Are you resting in the fact that you have been made to be the righteousness of God? Do you rejoice in the gift of having been made to be as righteous as God is? Romans 3.22 "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:" 1 John 4.17 "Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world." ~ Friend, if being as righteous as God is doesn't make you qualified for heaven, then nothing will. I personally delight in possessing His righteousness, and that's why I never wonder anymore whether or not I'm really saved, it's because Christ has been formed in me. The question is, has that happened to you? Has Christ been formed in you? Do you rest in His finished work? Truly? I can't answer that for you of course, but you'd be wise to pursue this question for yourself. Thank you for sharing some of your valuable time with me. All glory to the risen Lord Jesus Christ, and no glory to us whatsoever!

How to know if you're saved.
I remember a Christian radio show that I used to listen to say one time that the number 1 question they get asked is "how can I know if I'm saved?"
So no doubt, this is an issue that a lot of people have on their minds.
And lastly,
Have you come to rest in the finished work of Christ?
Let me explain what that means.
* Are you resting in the fact that you're fully forgiven of all sin.
God isn't issuing ongoing sin-forgiveness to you, because He's put away all of your sin on Christ.
Colossians 2.13
"And you, being dead in your sins
and the uncircumcision of your flesh,
hath he quickened together with him,
having forgiven you all trespasses;"
Revelation 1.5
"And from Jesus Christ,
who is the faithful witness,
and the first begotten of the dead,
and the prince of the kings of the earth.
Unto him that loved us,
and washed us from our sins in his own blood,"
* Are you resting in that you're fully sanctified, fully holy, right now?
1 Corinthians 6:11
“And such were some of you:
but ye are washed,
but ye are sanctified,
but ye are justified
in the name of the Lord Jesus,
and by the Spirit of our God.”
Hebrews 10.14
"For by one offering
he hath perfected
for ever
them that are sanctified."
* Are you resting in the fact that you have been made to be the righteousness of God?
Do you rejoice in the gift of having been made to be as righteous as God is?
Romans 3.22
"Even the righteousness of God
which is by faith of Jesus Christ
unto all and upon all them that believe:
for there is no difference:"
1 John 4.17
"Herein is our love made perfect,
that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is,
so are we in this world."
