    James, you did an incredible job on this video. The choices of images, the research obviously done, the organization of the information, the pacing of your speech are all spot on. There wasn't anything in this video I didn't like. You said you put a lot of work into it and it shows. With this, and all your educational/informative videos, you are able to deliver the information in a way that I sincerely enjoy learning from AND you're not condescending or with a know-it-all attitude.
    My only note is that with a couple of the images, the painting with the breastplate and the drawing of Tut's bracelet for examples, it would be nice in the description to have either a link to get more information on those images, credit given to the artists (not in a copyright manner, maybe just their names and/or the name of the painting itself to Google), or info on where you got it but not an actual link (like Oct 2019 Smithsonian magazine) so interested folks can more easily find it. I had no idea any of King Tutankhamun's jewelry had an artist rendition. That was beautifully done and I wanna see more of it. If it's available. Not trying to make even more work for you and it's certainly not a huge deal if you don't. It's literally the only thing I see that would enhance it. It's that good. So again, very, very well done 😁👏👏👏🥰

    Any updates planned regarding the history from the centuries preceding the breastplate theory, maybe even as a side piece or even a series of shorts. Those have been pretty good. But I know it still would all take time away from other projects. The good thing about it is that you wouldn't necessarily have to adhere to any particular timeline. And I don't know if other people would also even be interested. I can only say that I would be.

    • @faeriefire99
      @faeriefire99 Рік тому +1

      When dealing with history, if your bar is absolute proof, I don't think most of History would meet that bar. History is written by the winners. Not just the winners either, but most often from the perspective of the most powerful man involved with the history at that time. It's also fluid. We make discoveries every day that can change the historical context, the importance that we have placed on ideas, or the entire event itself. I'm not trying to be critical of you, just maybe give you a different way to measure. Doyle had an excellent point when he said when you have ruled out the impossible, whatever is left, no matter how improbable, is the truth.

    So as most superstitions it has biblical origins.

    • @mooneyfinemineral
      @mooneyfinemineral  Рік тому +1

      I would like to respectfully disagree. The biblical connection came far later from a people that were trying to relate to the cultures around them. In context, the breastplate of judgement has nothing to do with births, or birthdays, or birthstones, or any such. The first historical connection to it was thousands of years after Sinai.
      And as with a lot of biblical connections to superstitions, those superstitions often have much older origins. A tremendous amount of superstitions have formed as a result of modern Christianity adopting and "baptizing" other religious traditions. That does not make those things biblical.
      Weird thing for me to contest on, I'm sure, but thank you for listening.
