if this doesn't solve the issue, look at the contacts on the sliding door. opposite to the plastic pin in the video is an adjustable plastic piece that is also spring loaded. this piece on the door can be pulled out by 2 or 3 clicks and solves the problem for me

My boxer is less than a year old and the warning came up. I couldn't find a sensor on the rear door but did find one on the side door, I was wondering how to fix it, I had the issues of bleeping all day while i was driving and as another has said alarm would go off during the night. (Unhappy neighbors). I have carried out this simple solution this morning and then took the van out for a drive and not one bleep, It has now been sitting on the drive for four hours and alarm still set, this would have been a no no yesterday. Very good piece of information. Thanks for sharing I´ll add my 2 cents of experience based on other vans. While at it, a rag with some cleaner (WD40, contacts cleaner, etc.) clean the contacts on both sides, pins and plates. Depending on your usage environment, overtime tend to get so dirty the contact deteriorate to the point it´s totally lost. Cheers

As soon as I collected the rental van I went back in to Avis to tell them the door fault on the dashboard and they admitted to knowing that there is a sensor or something not quite right but "it'll be fine to drive". Then i tried to lock the van and I could not do it successfully for central locking of all doors. Followed your tip and...hey presto now the doors lock and the warning has gone from my dash. Thank you!
Finally some simple proof of what I thought my problem is. I have dodge ram promaster with the same problem. My only concern now is in your video, that door sensor had 4 small metal contacts. The sensor in mine looks the same except one of those contacts appears to be missing because I only count 3
1guncrazy1 Have a look at the correct replacement part for your vehicle on say ebay and then you will be able to confirm if a contact is missing or not :)
Had an issue with my Citroen relay 64 reg van with the rear door open fault, could never work it out and adjusted locks etc! Then I see you video and it worked a treat! Before hand all the doors were shut flush and would lock but randomly during the early hours in morning the alarm would go off. Van has gone into Citroen for a re call anyway so have asked them to double check locks/alarm
I have the same problem on a Citroen relay 15 plate, alarm goes off constantly and it constantly beeps in the cab. I can't wait to fix this at the office today!!!!!
Had this problem on mine and my mate fixed it who works mainly on fiat ducatos. Its a common problem with the pinned switch on the door which touches against the one on the van body. Their are three metal pins and one plastic that push in when closing the door. The plastic one wears out and becomes stuck in causing an open door message. Try pulling this out, but only temporarily and will need replacing.
Good video. Just as a note: If water gets into the little switch (it does), the water conducts enough to fool the van. You can carefully remove the back of the switch and dry it. I recommend filling the switch and smearing the front of th sensor and switch with plumbers silicon grease. It will keep the water out.
IF THIS DOESNT WORK FOR YOU TRY THIS... loosen the Torx nuts holding the locking ring inside the door frame and repositioning it towards the van 4mm or so and tighten it down again - this lets the whole door close a bit tighter.
I had the same issue in a 2014 citroen relay, it annoyed me for quite a long time, I just fixed it today but I did use a piece of rubber under that lock to bring it forward to meet the other one in the door.

Wonder if you can help with the sliding door on our Peugeot Boxer 2018? We bought it 2nd hand. Previously it was used as a courier van and had slam locks fitted on side and rear. We changed the slide door slam lock as we didn't have a key for the original lock but it is not working with the central locking system. There is no error message on the dash but we get an open door message when we open the sliding door as expected so presume it is not a connection error. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
Didn't work for me, however I then realised the contact on the actual door and found that had cracked away from the rim I've taped it back together with insulating tape hope this helps someone 👍

Our Citroën relay has this fault. Thanks for the tip! Will try it tomorrow. We can't lock it because the alarm goes off in the night.
