Central Locking Issue Citroen Relay | With a Nasty Surprise

- I attempted to tackle the rear door central locking issue we have on our Citroen Relay van and discovered something about our van's past in the process which has got us thinking.
My Citreon Relay had the same problem and occasionally when the weather is cold or wet it returns. The problem is caused when the six metal connections - three on the side of the van and three on the inside of the door become dirty. I was advised to buy Ambersil 40+ , spray it on the connections and clean the the surfaces of the connections thoroughly. It always works but after you clean them you have to wait several minutes before they dry out.
I followed what he did with the panel on the sliding door and now me central locking works again, fantastic!!! thanks I've surprise myself 👍

Great detailed video. I like your way of reasoning. Thanks to you I know why my rear door is has a hole just below the handle 🤯 My central locking works but I've got an issue with the alarm. What I mean is if you go inside and lock the van, and then open any door from the inside the alarm goes off. Except for the rear door. How would you approach it? Where would you start looking?

My citroen relay has the same issue with my rear doors with the wiring harnesses and they are missing the guides the same? I've looked on ebay and can't find the both sides I need on both doors ? Any help or advise would be appreciated
I am having an identical issue with my Relay, rear doors wont lock, no sound from central locking system, same bent metal where I now know is from someone trying to break in.
I would highly encourage you to get the metal plate that goes behind the handle. Will protect any further break ins. Stay safe 👍🏻

Do you think the wiring harness could be bad for my door? There is resistance in all the cables but the voltage doesn’t travel through it but at the part where the door harness connects to the main harness it’s getting volatafe

Hello, might be worth checking the cables that run on the inside of the sliding door. Make sure they are all in there mounting points so that the cable is pulled when the lever is. Also the very top catch is what locks and releases the sliding door. Let us know how you get on 👍🏻
Do you think my door harness is bad? I can see resistance though it but no voltage, but if I unplug the harness and check the voltage where the door harness connects to the car harness I’m getting that voltage jump when clicking the lock button

hi my central locking on central relay stopped working, but I seem to be getting voltage on both sides of the door harness and also low resistence, any ideas what the issue could be?
I had the same problem been like that a year can’t get it to work
@@pauls826 for me it was the rear door latch was not fully closing around the catch on the rear left door. I just needed to adjust the catch further back and it worked. Took me a long time to work it out though
@@samking4915 mines just doing nothing no flashing of indicators nothing no sounds just doesn’t do anything but I’ve notice that the open door light is slightly illuminated I dunno if it’s light from other sources nothing comes up on my dash no open doors and I can lock the van with the key and all doors are kocked new battery in key the lot
Why even bother removing the board on the door where there is no lock? Proper waste of time...
