Thank you! Reached Step 4 before I was able to toggle Call Forwarding "Off".
I had same problem. VoLTE is the reason why calls can’t be forwarded. I’ ve try to swich off from phone settings but nothing happend. Then call to my mobile operator and they swich it off from their side and told me not to activete it from the phone.

Thank you, this worked for me! Was driving me nuts. For those not in the US (or wherever else), the options will look different under "Mobile Data" (as opposed to Cellular). Under "Mobile Data Options" and then "Voice and Data" the three options for me were "4G, VoLTE On" "4g, VoLTE Off" and "3G". This looked a bit different from the screenshare above, but I selected "3G" and then the Call Forwarding worked :)

Will Apple ever do anything about this? It's been like this for 3 years. You'd have thought Apple would have sorted it by now. It's so frustrating. :/

@@psdrp I've found a way around it by going to settings, mobile service, mobile data options, voice& data, and then turn VoLTE off for 5 seconds, then back on. Go back to call forwarding and it should work. Sometimes requires me to do this twice, but I can always get it to work now. Just hope Apple comes up with a software update soon 🤞🏻

turn voice and data mode to 3G solved💗
Many thanks. This worked for me too. After the green slide button appeared using 3G, I put voice and data mode back to 4G and it continued to work fine. 👍👍
I’ve tried the 7 options and I still can’t turn it off the forwarding call, still spinning wheel

I gave up after few options and i poped the simcard into an android phone. Immediately manage to disable it.

Its much more simpler when u could have just borrow someone's android (if u do not hav one) and then pop ur simcard into it and disable it. Android phones wouldnt block u from doing it. Simple as that.
None worked for me. After 2 days of talking to various people from Coles mobile they escalated it to technical. Their best advice was to turn the phone off and on again. Muppets :(

Worked for me ONLY after turning off VoLTE and changing to 3G on BOTH phone lines (both eSim and physical sim card numbers). It didn't work when the other line still had 4G turned on. Hope it helps anyone still trying. Tested on iPhone running iOS 15.4 .
