New In Houdini 20: Feathers 01 - Creating Feathers

Houdini 20 is out and the literal poster child of this release is the new Feather workflow. And this really is a whole workflow, because it offers tools not only for creating feathers but also for creating a whole plumage, simming and rendering. So, let's take a look at all of it.

Where do I begin looking for a way to turn the points generater by the featheruncondense into actual geometry, I want to export a FBX mesh that I can bake to use as haircards for games. I want to customize the thickness and for each spline generated too.

At 9:33, when trying to bend the feather, I cannot see the box surrounding the feather and when I move the handle it only moves the arrow at the tip and not the feather... what am I doing wrong?

Has this channel turned into a Houdini only channel? I originally came here because you were doing Blender related stuff. Houdini is a great piece of software but many people can't afford the main version, where as Blender is free. Although the website is under a ddos attack at the moment (makes you wonder who would benefit from this).

It started with Houdini Tutorials and now they added Blender Tutorials as well. So there is still both, but don't be frustrated with the houdini content, since this channel has always made houdini tutorials.
If you want to give houdini a try, the apprentice Version is free and is a great way to get your foot in the door until you can afford it
