Lawrence: "Oh gee haha I hope she's just joking about bringing home another man" Lawrence 5 minutes later: "Oh sure Amati you can go on a date with Holo!! Thanks bro!"
Lawrence IS incredibly good-natured, as Holo noticed many times already... but he also IS as dense as the gold coins in his pocket... 10:50 Erm... well, he did ask her about Yoitsu in the previous episode, it's just she don't remember anything particular from so long ago, and human world has changed A LOT since then, so many places are not there anymore. Also, she couldn't know what happened here after her departing south, after all... Lawrence is just being considerate here, not going to just follow some pretty sad rumors he heard, so he wants to gather information first. 13:35 Lawrence is around 25-27, if I remember correctly. Yes, he is that young, yet he looks so old and weathered already from all the traveling (in the LN it was told he had grey hairs already, as far as I can remember). 14:45 That was oddly specific... o_o 17:00 I sorta like her eyes more in the original anime, piercing light blue, which... well, it will be a spoiler for new watchers to explain) But her look and behaviour really was much more mysterious and interesting in the original anime, here she is a bit too... normal, I guess? But she is still pretty in her own way, true) 22:48 BONK! GO TO HORNI JAIL! Yep... the end of the beginning and the beginning of the end. (c) And the next episode is the one I definitely DON'T want to watch... well, I will watch it, of course, but it is the most extremely unsettling part of the whole S&W story, period.
1:21 - "Manga readers, light novel readers, and previous anime watchers just know what I mean" Well, not the Manga only readers. The Manga skips over this arc so people who only read the Manga haven't got a clue what is coming. 2:02 - "How many volumes are there total? How many seasons would it take to fully adapt it?" There are 24 volumes and counting. The main LN series is volumes 1 through 17. However, vol. 7, 11, and 13 are not directly part of the main story as they are 'Side Colors' collections. Each a few short stories, some that relate to events in the main story, some that don't. Then there is the Spice and wolf Spring Log books which are volumes 18 - 14. These books are not yet finished. There is also the Wolf and Parchment spinoff series that features the adventures of a young lad we'll meet in Season 2 of the anime and a certain young girl with silver hair. There are 8 Wolf and Parchment books and counting. So we'd need about 5 seasons to know who that silver haired girl is that we've seen talking to Holo in some Northern Snowy place in this new anime. But then they could keep going after that with more Spring Log content, and do a Wolf and Parchment Spinoff series. So really, they could keep on going for as long as Isuna Hasekura wants to keep writing the books.
So it's 17 volumes of the main story, another 4 volumes of extra stuff. And then the sequel is at 10 volumes and counting. So do your calculations on how many seasons that will be 😅
If you think Amati is the bad guy here, it's good that you're re-watching this arc. You're right. the anxiety is real, and this is a tough arc, but it really isn't Amati that has much of anything to do with it. He's Holo's little plaything (It's Holo's world, everyone else just lives in it lol) There will be some magic that comes into book 4. This arc is all about Lawrence and Holo reconciling the point they are at in their relationship as well as the news of the Moon Hunting Bear destroying Yoitsu You don't remember Diana from the original anime? Let me help. White feathers. The second half the episode title for next week '...misaligned gear' is an inside joke to fans pertaining to the next time we will see Diana in episode 17 or 18. That phrase won't even make sense next week (But it's still funny cause well, Lawrence). It will only make sense after the next conversation Lawrence has with Diana in episode 17 or 18. But the part you must remember is right after that conversation when he asks THAT question of Diana as he's leaving her place. You cannot have forgotten that. Lawrence was not trying to get information about Holo. There's still a ton he does not yet know about Holo and he does not seem to care about that. All he wanted to do was confirm the information he already knew. That Yoitsu was destroyed. In this version he found out in episode 7 Yoitsu was was destroyed. But in the Light Novel and the original anime he had heard that Yoitsu was long gone from the moment he met Holo and he never told her
That’s kind of spoilers for new anime watchers. I know what happens and what you’re saying about Amati and Holo is true, but I’m more trying to watch along with new anime watchers without bringing up the resolution. The stress during the next episode will be immense.
@@DefinitivelyZach Kind of sort of. But if there's anyone watching that thinks Holo is not smarter then Amati (and most people in any room for that matter) at this point, they haven't been paying attention

Which episode is that flashback about Yoitsu being destroyed from?
Lawrence trusts Holo.
My dad cooked for my mum and she was hooked 😂
That’s what makes this arc hurt until the very end 😭😭
