MISA MISA MISA! and to think that the die hard Heavy Band-Maid fans were in despair over this song and Start Over thinking they had gone "Soft" PAH this IS Beautiful
@@TomClark-Futoura So true! I guess what I like about this song so much is that on my first listen I thought wow, this is different from anything they have done prior, and immediately thought that it was very commercial. Second time through I thought wow, this is a freaking wall of sound. Third time through, I couldn't get over the vocals, just outstanding. Fourth time through I started to really focus on the amazing solo work by Kanami, so understated in the mix, but so sweet. And it just keeps getting better and better. I really look forward to hearing it on my playlist and on Conqueror. Always seems to be climbing on my favorites list. From an initial reaction of, oh, this is different, but, still pretty cool, to a, wow this is actually one hell of a terrifically constructed and played song. But, like you say, that kind of musical experience from Band-Maid is not at all unusual.
@@markmark6378 You can see it on Kanami's face in the Shibuya DVD/BD... her dream of having Endless Story become a concert anthem. The song really comes alive. I'm looking forward to hearing it -- and watching them play it -- in a large stadium one day.
@@TomClark-Futoura Yea, and Saiki was so emotional at Shibuya during this song. If there is any justice to be had in this world, Band-Maid will become huge. Budokan is going to be INCREDIBLE! There better be a DVD/BD for that or there could be riots.
Kanami wrote this with the intent for it to be an anthem. When it came out I thought it was "ok".... but having seen it performed live, it IS a f'n anthem. It is not an accident that it closes out the Line Cube Shibuya concert DVD.
Dan Harris, I was gonna comment the same! Endless story was my least favorite song until I saw them perform it live! Now I love it and does get that much better everytime I hear it
I agree when Kanami Tono writes and composes the songs, to me their perfect. And Miku Kobato's writing the lyrics for the songs in my opinion are perfect for the songs. To me Band-Maid is the best band in the world today (IMO). Love Band-Maid....
I believe this was the first song released off of Conqueror & like Daydreaming, a lot of people hated this song, said that they're selling out, they're going too commercial, blah, blah, blah. This, Daydreaming, Before Yesterday, Awkward, Bubble, Anemone, and yes, even Start Over are some of my favorite BAND-MAID songs because of the diversity, not everything needs to sound like Play, Moritorium, Puzzle, Rinne, etc. Great reaction Detrucci
And the next thing they did after Endless Story was releasing RINNE, their heaviest track, just to silence those "haters". I love Band-Maid's softer stuff. It's good to take a little breathe before continue to rock with their heavy stuff.
EXACTLY!! ... and this is also why it's almost impossible to name one favorite song. Once you get into Band-Maid, your favorite will always depend on how your head is set on... I've been looping the Band-Maiko version of "Screaming" and "YOLO" but I feel the need to listen to "Daydreaming" or "Anemone", "Before Yesterday" is so nostalgic it hurts and then you get back to heaviness with "Puzzle" or not, just listen to acoustic "Puzzle" and it's like a different song... Band-Maid connects, and up until now all the albums, and I mean from "Maid In Japan" to "Conqueror", have always many many gems, either they are slow paced, heavy, fast, whatever...
You'd reacted to "Domination" live Feb.14th 2020. Just after "Domination", they finsihed the concert with this "Endless Story". It was sooo emotional. Kanami is composer and main arranger of this band. BTW, they took this MV at "Izu Oshima", volcanic island in Tokyo.
Line Cube Shibuya is a example of how start and finish one concert. Akane's opening, continues with a outstanding version of Rinne and the end with Endless Story and Saiki almost crying talking to the crowd. Powerful, emotional and beautiful. There are not enough words to describe how good this band is.
@@harryellimpio6921 Stop with the spoilers I don't have my copy of Line Cube yet. I even missed the concert when they streamed it thinking I would get my Blu-Ray soon :(((((((((((
I didnt even realize how great this Song really is until i saw Your React video Thanks for that. Thats WHY i watch these Band Maid React videos. Love Your honest Danceing.
Hope you managed to order and get their Line Cube Shibuya DVD. This song was the concert closer... a very emotional and special rendition. Brings out the greatness of this song even more.
@@weilima9316 Not Yet i want to get the CD s First next is World Dominatoin, Just Bring It and Conqueror The New Songs are really growing on me like Blooming and Bubble. They all got so much better on their Instruments especially Akane and Miku.
Yeah, this was the finished song for the recent live BlueRay... Saiki just holding tears... this song became so awesome after that (as if it wasn't already)... I just can't wait for a next new album. They are so good, they are becoming my fav band... ever... I'll never change! Next Band-Maid reaction? Hmmm... any, really ... "Don't you tell me" if you can find it live (youtube been taking off many of these) but the MV is awesome, funny and they look really really gorgeous... PS - They now write they're own songs since 2016. And it was in this year that they wrote the first one that got approved by the label, a song called "Alone" and well, maybe you should check that one out, there is a very cool video of it. I love them before and even the very first album ("Maid In Japan") that sounds very different from the albums that came after... but they are awesome at any point in time. Playing what others wrote or playing they own compositions - Kubato's lyrics are awesome (and keeping those "english hooks" is really smart move). Kanami's compositions and the way she even pulls awesomeness from the rest of the members is just phenomenal (Akane said at some point that Kanami even specifically wrote parts where the double bass drum should be used and Akane was just learning how to play it but she thought that if Kanami wrote it that way is "because she trusts that I can do it", so she intensified the practice...) ... then everyone gets a say on the whole song, so the song becomes full of everything from everyone and that just makes this band something really special... I also think they are the best song writers in Japan (at least)... It's always great to see you reacting to Band-Maid... at this point I think it's like you already know how awesome it will be, but don't know where or how you going to get hit by it, is it the chorus, is it the solo, is it the riff... or is just everything together? Probably, by the end of it, it's just hard to pin point something in particular ... :-)
Great reaction. As for song writing, originally they had the songs written for them, they managed to get one song on the third mini album (Alone). They said it took them a while to learn how to write hard rock songs, they listened to a lot of other artists, and studied the songs they'd been given to play . Since their first full length album, they've increased the number of songs they write to nearly 100%. They are a band with many musical influences so they can write many different types of music. Anyways, Endless Story is an anthem, if you get the chance watch their 2020 live concert DVD to see how it works live.
Thats my reaction to Every Band Maid Song 1. How do they do it 2. This is my New Favorite Song by Band Maid I d rate Daydreaming Higher then this. I sooo want to see them Live Once Corona is hopefully Over in 2021 Thats my New Goal in Life.
It's nice how you really enjyoyed this song. When it came out, the fans were split, some people didn't like it. But I think this song has grown on them. In my case, at the beginning I thought it was ok, but now, with multiple listenings, I think it's a killer track. When I listen to it when I'm driving my car, man, I just turn the volume up and I sing it loudly. It makes me feel so good and positive. Cheers dude!
Hah I been singing this song (Well, sounding the same sounds atleast) the last couple days too. I really love it, It has such a happy feeling to it too, The lyrics are really nice.
