I’ve realized that following a piecing pattern exactly with the exact fabrics in the stipulated places can have all the creativity of a nicely done coloring book! After just 3-4 “traditional” quilts I’m itching to express myself. Thank you!

Love your book and appliqué templates. Your use and instruction on the wash away paper is extremely helpful. Great tip to use the view finder!

A fabulous video! Thank you Kathy. I took a workshop with you some months ago & in this video you covered much of the wonderful information on working with color that you showed us there. The warm and cool is an extremely helpful tool. I got the book as soon as it was available and it is terrific as well. Can hardly wait to get some fabric from the new line.

I just received my book in the mail, and I'm thrilled to get started. This is a fun, informative video. It's nice to hear straight from artists on their thoughts and process. Thanks

What a fantastic video. I feel like I just took a class. Best description & show & tell of the color wheel. Like the visual complexity of the quilt with still getting defining lines. After you applique with the wash away are we washing it away before quilting or after quilting? I definately understand more how to work with busy fabrics. Thanks.

Wash away the Wash-Away Appliqué sheet before quilting.

I love the alternate colorway she showed but would be curious what to use for the warm and cool spot for the appliqué

Definitely check out her book! She goes much more into depth for these concepts there.
