I am black, and I am from Iowa! I so relate to this movie. And I was so happy that they finally made a movie about these white boys. Also the soundtrack for this movie is still on point!
It is like the people back in the '70s, black and white and Latino, who got hooked on all the Kung Fu flicks and became obsessed with 'Asian culture and looks.
They made this movie in Davenport Iowa when I was in high school. Tons of kids I went to school with were extras and thought this was going to be like Menace to Society and felt dumb as fuck when it came out!!!
This movie was a fucking classic. These trailers back in the day were so funny. But this is more of a comedic drama. There is probably a bigger story than just this movie. Perfect end to the 90s
@@RhythmEmotions that's a different movie with the same name. This one is a comedy. That one was more serious movie and didn't have any famous rappers in it.That one is called White Boys, where the words are seperate.
I seen this in the movie theater around the end of summer in 1999 with my brother and my dad who actually the one who really wanted to see. My grandma mother had passed away, my dad owned her house and we were cleaning it out. We also went and seen South Park Bigger Longer and Uncut, and American Pie when were were done cleaning to keep are mine off of it.
*"you think that's a birth mark, right? but thatsthe real colour of my skin and the rest of me is the birthmark"* LoL... funny cause i had a buddy who thought similar shit too.
Hoch's character and his even more pathetic friends made me bringe, which is what the director intended. Great film, don't believe the bad rap, dawg, this movie was fly, yo.
This movie was actually deep in SOME ways, especially when they really went to the projects in Chi Town. Me & my brother got high as hell when it came out & laughed all the way through this shit. I was embarrassed for em and I'm black LMAO
That's a different movie, with the same name. This movie is a comedy, that one was more serious and didn't have any famous rappers in it.This one is called Whiteboyz, that one is called White Boys.Look it up.
I have met plenty. And it gets tired, real quick. You have to remind them not every black male or female acts like they think they do. They watch too many videos and movies.
@seyiA1000 no ,this was real. it came out in the 1990s.. this movie was so dumb but funny... he had a black friend who wasnt stereo typical and the main white guy couldnt understand why the black friend didnt act like him...and the sad thing is alot of white guys really think like the main guy in this movie..
Definitely a stay in your lane and just listen to the music like in The Bear they said it's like a delicate ecosystem they don't take too well to Outsiders
Why did they try so hard to put this in the comedy genre? There's nothing funny about this movie. It's more of a gut wrenching examination of the true pitfalls of youthful delusional thinking.
True, i watched the movie today and the only funny thing is the way the white boys act and the dream scenes, other than that its kinda depressing especially the second half
This movie was so funny, the best part was when they pulled up in the hood with the powder blue Ford F-350 dually farm truck with a camper shell😂 That detail was perfect, it was so out of place anywhere in the city anywhere....
Yeah it`s kinda sad movie when people don`t know how to be themselves and tryna be someone... THe end of this movie showed that finally they decided to get away from this chase to become a black person. Chasing rap dream is good but chase a dream to become a hood person is totally crazy idea...
This movie is a comedy supposedly but what happened at the end was sad.I felt like crying because that black dude he met in those projects in Chicago got shot and killed by the Chicago Police Department in a projects drug raid. And those dope dealers in the projects went to war with the police and more likely those black drug dealers got shot and killed or got life sentences for having a shoot out with cops. That whiteboy didnt deserve that beating because he was confused and wanted to be black in that movie.Somebody should of taught him some game
This was actually a goodass realistic story, it was a dark comedy/drama
This is one of those movies you come home late at night WASTED and it's on Cinemax 😂😂😂😂
I caught it last night on HBO comedy late last night
Actually it usually comes on Starz on demand and HBO on demand

Nah this movie is still a classic. Its great in a whole different way than Menace 2 society
Part of it was filmed in Maquoketa, Iowa, also.

That’s hilarious
This movie was a fucking classic. These trailers back in the day were so funny. But this is more of a comedic drama. There is probably a bigger story than just this movie. Perfect end to the 90s
Whoa I'll never get tired of this movie haha, brings me good memories and showed me Iowa :D
Best part of this movie was after the main guy gets beat down, and they stop, he says "yooo... am I in?". Like he got jumped in, lol
I’ve been laughing about that for years every now and then I randomly think about that scene 😂😂
I like it when he trys to buy drugs in ghetto with 20 dollars lol

@@kevinsanchun2052 ah right lol OK
i saw this on hbo long time ago. This was more like a dark comedy (no pun intended).
Very few obvious jokes, and a sort of a sad ending.
Huh?its just straight up funny.
takerdust Im just waiting for the movie called Filipinoz cuz this movie is about us to but we wont admit it
Same! Saw it on HBO years ago. It's definitely not a comedy. I mean, you're laughing at the characters based on their ignorance. That's about it!
Right lol I was bout 5 watching this shot
Bayer Head only part I laughed at was when they jumped him e talking bout I’m down
*cow moo’s from a distance*
Flip: Trevor your moms calling you for dinner
🤣🤣🤣😂
This is: Slim Jesus, the Biography.

its no comedy, this movie is about as accurate as it comes.
Life imitating art
@@joes0406 you mean yts imitating blacks?

accurate observation of iowa culture.
*"you think that's a birth mark, right? but thatsthe real colour of my skin and the rest of me is the birthmark"*
LoL... funny cause i had a buddy who thought similar shit too.
Classic, the soundtrack was dope as well.
lmao thats the real colour of my skin nd the rest of me is a birthmark hahaha
This is more real than ever
Watched it about 15-18 years ago. Would like to see tge reception of a new movie like this. Maybe a remake?
Going to Oblock cause that seems to be the trend for Chicago IL
Hoch's character and his even more pathetic friends made me bringe, which is what the director intended. Great film, don't believe the bad rap, dawg, this movie was fly, yo.
this dot is my skin color...the rest of me is my birthmark....lmao.
😂
im watching this right now, one of my favorite movies of all time, a comedy yes but deff some truth in it to
the 90's voice and everything lol damn
John Cena should star in the remake.
This movie a gem a classic didnt get the props its deserved and in the time it was in nailed it nailed and all the talent in the move too, killer

When they go.to.washington , fire scene 💪🏾
Childhood.
I saw this for the first time yesterday, I didn't know if it was supposed to be serious or a spoof. Had potential but didn't really go anywhere imo.
You're about 24 years too late. If you grew up in the times the movie would resonate.
one of the best things i have ever seen LOL
Shit that part when they went to the Chi they new they fucked up.
This trailer does the movie injustice, it was more of a drama than a comedy
facts
nahhh def a dark comedy/satire
It's just a movie but Danny Hoch is very talented. You should check him out when he was in Cuba and he was really talking Cuban Spanish.
nope. its one of the most accurate movies i have seen about the iowa mentality.
movies funny in it's own way don't want to give away spoilers, watch it if given the chance.
as a white hiphop head i gotta say this was the must disturbing fucking movie i ever saw in my life
My DICK!.... Niggaaa
Definitely a stay in your lane and just listen to the music like in The Bear they said it's like a delicate ecosystem they don't take too well to Outsiders

Whoda thunk this would become American culture now...
Why did they try so hard to put this in the comedy genre? There's nothing funny about this movie. It's more of a gut wrenching examination of the true pitfalls of youthful delusional thinking.

dead prez was popular in 1999, a year before their debut album got released?
Beastie Boys biopic looks great.
Danny Hoch. Dude had a small part in Black Hawk Down.
It is a comedy but there's a lot of drama in the subject indeed, Good movie.
Underrated, great movie. Always liked it. Trailer is terrible though.
Classic movie
Weird trailer makes it seem like a comedy when it's actually a pretty fucked up and depressing film.
It was on cable just now. This movie was hard to watch. lol
i watched this baked last night... i didnt know what the fuck was going on
The real slim shady this is basically eminems life story
they probably filmed it with the intention of a drama, but it was so bad they said ''lets call it a comedy''
Where can I get this movie?????
White boys the movie this is a classic and you know it. What’s up the flip
It’s the Situation GTL
This movie was ridiculously sad
omg samez.... i was so scared like why
And everyone just......raps.
This movie is what I think about every time I see a teenage white kid driving down the street with rap blaring.
This movie got really dark for a comedy I remember renting it thinking I would see humor and was slightly disturbed by the end of the film.
why is the main guy sometimes talking to someone who isnt there
it's a comedy
a hilarious one
Maybe you seen this movie before when it was called 8 Mile LOL
This came out 3 years before 8 mile.
8 Mile was the same except Eminem got jumped and finally admit he lived with a trailer park with his mom
Flip dog on the MYC😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 they’re not rappers 2024????? this was a real movie 🍿
How come Eminem didn't sue for likeness rights ?! Lol 😂
Because the likeness is based off me irl that's why 🙃
The ending was sad if I remember right
wassup flip
peyton manning?!
lmao if peyton manning was jewish
🤣 his forehead is way too small.
They make it seem like Malibus Most Wanted actually was.
