This poem always makes me cry
As someone who identifies as Agnostic, I very much appreciate this. I never really hear about this topic in poetry and I am thrilled to be able to see this now.

This is a very well pieced poem that being said I don't agree with its context...religion is quite sharply and acutely different from faith...
Honestly a lot of what this guy said is really not true but what I find ironic is that he cites verses from a book he is against and uses it for his poem.
"Oh Yee who has little faith." Honestly that doesn't work lol. The Bible is more reliable than you think buddy Lol faith isn't based on what you feel it's based on the evidence it's based on putting your trust in God himself if I am not wrong.
He's not citing the Bible as a source. I'm not really sure how you even understand poetry at all if you don't understand the point of incorporating a Bible verse into this poem was.
Also, it's counterintuitive to say that religion is based off evidence if in the next sentence, you say that it's based off Trust.. science would be something is based off evidence, having faith literally means believing in something without proof. So although you may believe it, that's fine but religion is in no way based off of evidence
@@jalex5808 I know he didn't cite it as a source I just find it ironic the that verse he incorporates in his poem actually goes against him because in that verse Peter was in doubt of Jesus word when Jesus told Peter to come stand with him in the water even though Peter saw Jesus do many miraclous things and standing on the water before him he stilll doubted that's unnreasonable.
@@jalex5808 What i meant by trust is trust in what God has done and trusting that he will deliver you or whatever honestly there are Christian Apologist that can explain this better than me on trust its a deep theological doctrine

And once again you have strawmanned the biblical definition of faith biblie scholars would criticize you on this you are getting this from false preconceived notion on religion. Please do some research.
And once again there is evidence for Christianity and I am 100% sure Jesus rose from the dead
