I recently moved to Las Vegas. I love living in Spring Valley.
875 a month?? Almost unheard of in Boston.....but then again we overload our neighborhoods with luxury apartment and condo high rises.

Pretty nice apartment for $875. I live in the Chicago Northwest Suburbs and I pay about the same for my one bedroom. My mother is older and needs me, otherwise I'd have moved to Vegas by now.
I paid 400 with bills included in Chicago close to Midway airport area. 59th street between Pulaski and Cicero.

Thanks Jacob, you know it was ur video on one of the Elysian Apartment Properties that had me considering moving back to Vegas. I lived in Vegas over 10 to 15 years ago! I had actually checked out Flamingo Chateau & 2 others in Spring Valley, Mosiac & Level 25. 3 Elysian Apartments & 2 in Summerlin! I had chosen a very nice, quiet & beautiful apartment complex in the Summerlin area. What was important to me, was that the Apartment had to have an Accessible Garage, & Summerlin had that & a 2 car garage at that!
That price, with the washer/dryer, large 🛁, valted ceiling , and central heat & air is a steal.
Not a steal. Overpriced. I pay $600 a month for a 2 bedroom single family home. So, no, this is a rip off.
@@VegasLady81In Los Angeles that would be a STEAL! One bedroom apartments go for over $1200! You have to be a damn millionaire to live in one of those!
When I lived in Vegas I went to the apartment complexes at night.BIG DIFFERENCE.
You get to see what the area/residents is really like.Lived near this area,best advice to a person would be to go further west but in terms of money saving this area is ok...

I always find it funny when I see a fireplace inside any Las Vegas home. With year round temperatures consistently warmer than almost anywhere else in the country and with the short winters with no snow it's is hardly ever cold enough to justify having a fireplace, especially in a small apartment that needs every extra square feet of space it can get.

+OVI-Wan Kenobi it snowed in Vegas this year... Didn't stick but it was in the 30s.. that's pretty cold! Go in December without a coat. Have fun lol
tshirtswithjt JT Believe it or not there are some Canadians that can actually handle 30 degrees F without a coat and wear just a sweater instead. A lot of Canadians actually go down to Vegas during the winter to enjoy the much milder weather that Las Vegas has to offer during its winters. Try coming up to Northern Alberta, Canada when it's in the minus -30s without a coat!
+OVI-Wan Kenobi I live in Wyoming pal.... are we comparing cold climates or are we talking about how it's been way colder than usual in Las Vegas... Your blood changes in different climates.. I use to live in Florida and when it got in the 50s it felt cold as hell.

This video is way out of date, this apt complex: Flamingo Chateau charges $1100 for the 2 bedroom, but there's a waiting list, there's an affordable housing/rental crisis going on in 2021, started in 2017, but got really bad in 2019, lunatic inflation started in 2020.
Wow! I have a 3 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms an over size garage on a cuddlesac and my mortgage is $865.00. I'm in Cincinnati so for me Vegas will be more expensive to move but I'm ready for a change.

I don't usually comment on clips like this, but good grief. You consider Torrey Pines or Rainbow to be close to the Strip? You can do a lot better for a lot less. Take a look at the area around Arville & Twain. Lots of apartments back there, and easy walking distance to the Palms, Rio & Gold Coast. Before I bought my house I lived at the Silverado Village Apartments, which is in that neighborhood. You can get a 2-br for under $800/mo there.

I live south of the airport. I hate to sound biased, but anywhere south of 215 is prob the best places imo. And of course Green Valley and Henderson as well.
Planning a trip in March, to look at possibly moving out to vegas from hawaii. That apartment even in a low income area here, would be 1800 to 2100. Hawaii is to dame expensive.
The best area to live in Las Vegas. Close to everything.

I would move there tomorrow if I didn't have the best job in the world where I live now. Would you say that renting an apartment on the top floor of an apartment complex is a bad idea with the desert sun shining on your roof all day long? I would take a lower floor for that reason.

Jacob, I'd like to offer some opinions that might help with future videos on apartment or house videos. One easy thing would be to google reviews on the places. I did this on this complex and a lot of the reviews weren't even close to all the nice things you said about the place. Granted, some reviews are going to be in the past, but easily contradicted by talking to the manager. As you might know, many apartment complexes change managers as much as people move in and out of the places. I've checked many apartments in Las Vegas and among the common things I read are, bad management, high utility bills, noisy, crime, drugs and bugs/scorpions and things not working properly. These are things that any good manager should talk about and be honest. Thanks! I enjoy your videos.

I was reading on some forums that there's major water issues in the area - like conservation? If you live in an HOA they will only let you wash your car one day a week and also can only water the lawn certain times., any truth to that? ...do any apartment complexes in the suburbs have a hose to let residents wash cars or not? Also: do most apartment complexes pick up your trash bags themselves?

Too much for a one bedroom and it sucks that they have only gas stoves. I hate gas appliances. And, the kitchen is too small, don't like the fact that the bathroom is right next to the kitchen. I'm not impressed.

A 'cheap' apartment would be around $100/week. And furnished.

Literally every single apartment complex in the country has bad reviews. No one leaves positive reviews -- if they enjoyed it, they just go on with their lives. No apartment is perfect, especially at this price.
I live in Vegas and anywhere you go your not further than 5 or 6 miles to the strip. It's now a year later and prices went way up. Also I he price was way over priced then. This is Vegas not LA even so you want to make it that way. The minimum wage is only about $8.45 an hour. So get a job in a Casino there all on Call. So don't be fooled. It's not easy to find a job here. It's not like it used to be. This guy is getting paid for referring you. There is not much shopping around there either. You have to take the Bus or Car to go to Rainbow where there are a few stores there. This guy is.misleading.
