I love the Polynesian!♥️ I've been staying there since the parks opened, bringing my kids and now my grandkids. I had to remember to request third floor once the Bungalows came in to appreciate and enjoy your Theme Park View, and enjoy watching the fireworks from your balcony. I will be there in 10 days and I cannot wait. The Polynesian is so wonderfully themed and magical. You really feel like you've traveled somewhere special and Polynesian Resort is the best . Mahalo
I just checked a random 3 night stay in May on a dvc site. It was $378 a night. High but still manageable if it’s on your bucket list. Dvc rental is definitely the way to go
7:37 I hate when that happens too the app never works to open the door that’s why I get a card key from that front desk instead of walking up to room first 😅
Nice Vlog Kyle! We own DVC at the Poly and have stayed there twice since 2019. We were lucky last November to stay in a newly remodeled Moorea Lake Front Studio and loved it! Last month we stayed Standard View in Pago Pago (parking lot view) and loved that as well! Won't be back to the Poly till next November, but we have a Riviera stay coming in Decemeber (first time and can't wait). Side note - The Poly has our favorite showers!
It's pronounced "more - ray - uh." DVC Member here. I love staying at the Poly. My favorite room is on the 3rd floor, castle view of the Morea building. I love the new hallways!
I did stay at the Polynesian three times I love it it’s so warm in all the plants I said one time at contemporary it was too cold for me I did not likeit. I have not stayed at the grand Floridian yet but you never know.I thought the food look great surprise you didn’t have a shrimp cocktail the room is awesome as you would say it’s ginormous I can’t wait to see you tomorrow good job Kyle
Stayed at the Caribbean back in 2017 and at the end of the stay hopped over to the Polynesian for 1 night. They upgraded us for free for the day to the lake side concierge rooms. I remember getting in our room and they had a welcome box of chocolates on the bed. The property is still my favorite on Disney property. (The amazing smells everywhere on property) We arrive this Friday the 2nd and are staying at pop century for a week, can't wait!
I hate to break it too Kyle but daylight savings time has ended and we are now in Eastern Standard Time. We don't go back to Daylight Savings time until March... at least you're not still living up north where there is so much more darkness compared to where you are in Orlando. I'm from Michigan and trust me it starts getting dark by 5:00.
We stayed at the Poly in Aug 2021. It was wonderful! Pack a sound machine if you stay there. It will be a game changer and drown out the sound of the boats!
We stayed at Polynesian Club Level in the Hawaii Building at the end of our 8 day trip to Disney, October 26th-29th. IT WAS A-MAZ-ING!!! Polynesian is at the top of our list now with Animal Kingdom Lodge & Wilderness Resort as close seconds. Watching the Fireworks from our patio was spectacular!!! We highly recommend this resort to everyone!
My family stayed at the Polynesian Resort Tonga building -- way back in 1973!!!!!!! We even went to their Luau one of the nights we stayed there! It was December 1973, around Christmas, and it was in the 30's so we all ran to the Ceremonial House to buy sweat shirts! Since then, I've been to Hawaii 4 TIMES and the Polynesian is nice, but nothing like the Real Hawaii' Islands!!
My husband had a conference at the Polynesian. We got a Lakeview which was really nice. We got to see the Electrical water parade every night with our two children. If this was at lease 15 years ago. My husband loves the contemporary so that’s usually where we would stay. We checked into making reservations for our 27th anniversary. They are charge over $1000 a night that’s a joke. 😂 Kyle was on a Royal Caribbean. I liked how they had trees in the center of the cruise ship. My husband check that out and set up a cruise for us instead. It’s for a week and it costs less than five day at Disney World! Thank you Kyle!
Hey Kyle, I stayed at the Poly last December (I saw you & your family) in the "Palo Palo" building 😄 Your refreshed room was really nice and had a similar layout to my room - the rain shower was 🔥 Come on dude, 70s is still swimming weather.. I'm bracing for 3-6 feet of snow this weekend 😂
The lock on our cabin at Wilderness lodge didn’t work so I called the Disney help number and the whole crew and manager showed up. The battery was dead.
WE stayed at the Polynesian once before the reno. We won't stay again. The construction was going on, and we had a fire alarm go off at 5 a.m. My coffee maker didn't work. My teenager couldn't sleep on the sleeper sofa and said it was wayyy too hard. So with her not having any sleep she was grouchy the whole trip. We also tried her on the kids fold down stitch bed; again she then goes I want a real mattress. When we checked in a DVC guy was complaining about something with the prices going up and some things being taken away? So for us it was kind of a headache.
We were there in July. Had a third floor theme park view in Tuvalu. Perfect to watch the fireworks!! Might not afford it again, but I’d definitely recommend. The best! And it was at least 95 degrees. We would have welcomed a 70😄
I've only been to Disney twice many, many years ago and both times we stayed at the Polynesian. I love that resort. If I ever get back there again, I would definitely stay there.
Thank you for showing us the beautiful Poly room!! One of my favorite resorts, Oh, and just a friendly reminder; we are now in Standard Time. Daylight Savings is during the summer months. It is called Daylight Savings because you get extra daylight time in the evening, hence Daylight Savings. So, in winter when evening comes and it gets darker SOONER, we are are Standard Time, There is no Savings of Daylight, we get no extra daylight in the Evening. A good way to remember: When there is MORE daylight into the evening and it's light outside we are in Daylight Savings. When it is DARK sooner in the evening and than it is Standard Time (No Savings of Daylight). Thx! Hope I don't annoy you with the explanation 😉
I love the smell of the lobby of the Polynesian Also have stayed there with my parents when I was a kid we had a room with the Laguna view the stayed again in the 90’s but had parking lot view Also have been to the luau the food was very good and the show also will be sadly missed
WOWSERS!! Those newly renovated Poly rooms are absolutely Gorgeous!! And YES!! What a phenomenal shower!! Ongoodness !! U get two huge bathrooms too… Omgoodness!! Kona looked nummy😋😋😋Kyle 👍 ….and sure hope you had a lovely lovely time with your lady friend KP🙏🏼🌷❤️🐶💝💕😍😘
Never had an issue with the app room unlock feature. It’ll pull up your wallet occasionally but just give it a second and it should still unlock your door. Just wait for the click (I heard it a few times in your video)
I had the same issue with the door when I stayed at Saratoga Springs. My husband had to go to front desk to key cards. Front desk ask my husband if I was using my Bluetooth I was.
Have never stayed at the Poly but have gone there to watch the fireworks! Thanks for the great tour around! Very unfortunate that the tech isn't working properly on the doors - Didn't realize you actually had to hold the phone to do the door to get it to unlock. Seems like if I can unlock my car doors and start the car from an app - you should be able to unlock a resort room door just by hitting a button. Wendy Lady
I’m glad you shared the app issues with opening room doors. Happened to me last time at Boardwalk, thought it was me. I’m too stubborn to give up on the app.
We stayed at the Poly last April and it was AMAZING! Definitely can't afford to do it often, and I don't think any other resort comes close to comparison, but it was worth it for our splurge family trip!
I stayed there several years ago. did not like having to put my clothes in the couch table or on the fold down bed. Beautiful bathroom, and loved that TTC path was right outside the front door. Wish they would get rid of the kid bed and put a dresser in
I tried using my phone to open my room at PO-Riverside and the door lit up green but didn’t actually open the door. It looked like it could work but it never did. Neither did my magic band, but I think I didn’t connect that properly since it was an old one!
Yep. Stayed there at Bali with MK view. It ranks number 4.We loved the Wilderness Lodge, Bat Lake Towers, grand Floridian, and than the Polynesian. I always wanted to stay there and it didn’t live up to the hype in my head…
Kyle, if the resort reservation is linked to your Disney account, which it probably is because you could access the mobile key, then you can use your annual pass card to get into your room. It is the same as a MagicBand just in the form of a card. Also if you get a card from the front dest you can use it to get into the park. Just a tip so you don't have to walk all the way to the front desk.
I stay at the Polynesian often. I'm fortunate because it's my home resort as a DVC member. I will be there shortly over the Thanksgiving holiday and usually request a ground floor walkout when I'm staying on the standard side of Moorea. It's AWESOME. I love the Polynesian. It's my #1 resort tied with all the others. I can never decide so I often split stay all around the way. Boardwalk, Beach Club, GF, Contemporary, AKL & AKKV, OKW, Saratoga Springs - Preferred, Vero Beach and the list goes on. I love them all. I've stayed at them all. As soon as I say one is my favorite, I change my mind. They all have their charm. The Polynesian is super hard to get into though even as a DVC for prime times. It's a bit of a contest, really, for booking Lake View for New Year's. It took me 3 years when I was new to DVC to figure that out. The magic mobile unlock thingy is super hit or miss. Thanks for reminding me to put on my magic band before I fly down. I use the magic band as I believe it is better than the phone for Disney stuff. More robust. Keep up the great content!
Also that's not an ADA room. This is the standard layout for the studios for DVC members. They are the largest DVC studios on property. This is an important feature since there are no 1 or 2 bedrooms for DVC members. Currently only the studios and the Bungalows - which is a HUGE jump in points and price.
I stayed at the Polynesian when I was 12. The Polynesian and Contemporary were the only 2 resorts on Disney property. We stayed 1 night and my parents thought the beds were too hard. They were not happy. We were supposed to go to River Country the next day. They were too tired and we went home. I wouldn't mind staying at the Polynesian, but there are other Deluxe resorts that I would rather stay at first.
Was at Pop Century a couple of weeks ago and the phone opened the door for me. The magic band worked great after that. I always have issues with room cards. Somehow they seem to deactivate after a day or two. So I liked the magic band.
You're just used to warm Florida weather. It's 30F and Snowing in Ohio. Excited to be in Disney next month. My sister-in-law made all the Disney reservations. I hope maybe next year we can do Polynesian. Saratoga springs was the only thing available with two bedroom villas in our price range. Considering we are also splitting the cost with my parents, still a lot. Last year I kept all the Disney shampoos and re- it's sold them online.
The Polynesian is my favorite hotel but I may not be able to sell the price of the resort to my husband anymore. We compromised and stayed at the Shades of Green (military resort) for less than a third of the price. It’s across the street! Saw the fireworks from MK from the hotel lobby. It was magical ☺️
I am laughing so hard right now Kyle. That shower scene. Somebody sabotaged the shower thinking you would already be in there and WAMMO, right in the face blast with water. Someone was trying to knock you out. Food looked amazing. Salute
Disney Polynesian is my DVC home resort. We've only been there once and it's was alright for me. I like the pool, restaurants are all expensive. Room is big, love the 2 door shower/toilet, guest services meh. Lol sorry for chanting, it's just my opinion. Because I have been to other dvc hotel and my experience was different from Poly.
Y'all why I thought Kyle's chest hair was a grey t-shirt 🤣🤣🤣.. I was like my boy pulled out the grey Tee with the Hawaiian overlay button up short sleeve shirt then I seen curls & was like Oh Snap nevermind lol hahaha
I visit the Poly a lot for dining, but have never stayed here. Its less points to stay at the Boardwalk and\or Beach Club, and I can never justify spending more for the Poly.
Stayed at Pop Century over Labor Day weekend and was shockingly surprised when my phone and my husband’s phone actually unlocked the door on the first try (thank goodness because our magicbands were at the bottom of our luggage 🤣 I was fully prepared to have to go to the lobby to get a keycard, but luckily I didn’t have to 🎉
I was a Walt Disney World Cast Member at the Everything Pop, Gift Shop, for 4 years. I am going back as a Cast Member and I will hopefully will return to Pop. I am so happy you enjoyed staying there.
Kyle, could you do an update on Poly and walk around SOG and the new DVC tower, pool going in from the building overlooking it, etc.? I would love to see any changes to Grand Floridian main lobby, too, and Park Fair.
Watching old Poly videos to get pumped for Poly club in Aug 2025! LOL Was thinking it just isn't the same without Casey there and there she is behind the scenes XOXOXO
We’ve never stayed at Poly . Ate in Ohana which we love ❤️ maybe some day . I always use my magic band to get in my rooms . Can’t wait to see the rest of your stay .
I think that was just a regular room not an ADA accessible room. There are no grab bars by the toilet which is a necessity for most people who need an ADA compliant room. Also, unless there was an elevator you didn't take. THey couldnt have an accessible room on the third floor of a stairs only building. I do love seeing everything at the Poly! I stayed at Shades of Green both times I went to Disney so we were over at the Poly daily to either catch the Monorail or to eat, so it's fun seeing the rooms I've never seen!
The app room unlock feature never works for me. Back in March, after delayed flight and traveling, we didn’t get to Riverside until about 2am. We were exhausted and couldn’t get in. I called and they said they were sending someone over to help. After waiting almost an hour for someone to come help, I was like forget this and ran over to the main building to get a physical key card and ran all the way back to the room. Yeah not a big fan of the app haha 😅
Sorry Kyle the app didn’t open the door, mine always works, but I always keep my magic band on too! I stay at Gran Destino a lot that shower looks better!
I love the Polynesian!♥️ I've been staying there since the parks opened, bringing my kids and now my grandkids. The Polynesian is on my bucket list...with all of the ridiculous inflation at Disney, it may never get crossed off!😕
Yeah I wanna stay there in the future
I just checked a random 3 night stay in May on a dvc site. It was $378 a night. High but still manageable if it’s on your bucket list. Dvc rental is definitely the way to go
Thank the imbecile currently who occupies the White House for that inflation! But I'm sure it's all Putins fault 🙄
7:37 I hate when that happens too the app never works to open the door that’s why I get a card key from that front desk instead of walking up to room first 😅

Love a good staycation and the Poly is always beautiful!
Kyle thank you for the shout out. This is Laura front desk Concierge at the Polynesian Village resort that helped you when you stayed with us.
Was just there October 2-9! You walked right by where my room was. ❤
That room is sick!!!! Wow.
Especially the double bathrooms.
Enjoy your stay at the Polynesian!! Looks nice.
I hate to break it too Kyle but daylight savings time has ended and we are now in Eastern Standard Time. We just stayed at All Stars and I used my phone to unlock the door with no problem. Also they also had the guide on the TV. Plus it was a Smart TV.
I have stayed in it many times as a kid that was my family’s go to resort it ranks high in my favorite Disney resorts.
We were staying at shades of green in July and walked over to the Polynesian to watch the fireworks. Had a good view.

Poly is my DVC home resort. My absolute favorite!
The lock on our cabin at Wilderness lodge didn’t work so I called the Disney help number and the whole crew and manager showed up. The battery was dead.
We are staying there in May by renting DVC points! We cannot wait! Thank you for the video!

Sometimes it looks like it doesn’t work! But just give it one second and wait for the click
With the way Disney locks up the shampoo, I would just get a separate container and pump it all out into that. Haha!
I may, or may not have done this lol
We stayed at the Poly last April and it was AMAZING! Definitely can't afford to do it often, and I don't think any other resort comes close to comparison, but it was worth it for our splurge family trip!
I stayed there several years ago. did not like having to put my clothes in the couch table or on the fold down bed. Beautiful bathroom, and loved that TTC path was right outside the front door. Wish they would get rid of the kid bed and put a dresser in
We stayed at Tokelau. It was so nice to be 4 minutes from the TTC. Fireworks on the beach is awesome and the water parade.
We stayed at the Poly 2 years ago, and we're staying at the Contemporary in January!
Kyle, remember you get extra Magic hours at the parks. 30 minutes at park opening in AM and PM for select dates. Lora would have loved that shower.
I was just there in October for the first time.. completely understand the draw of deluxe and/or monorail resorts now! 😂
Re: the shower being on “jet” mode when you turned it on, I bet the housekeeper used that to clean the shower and just didn’t turn it back.
I love the poly!!! Have a great day Kyle!!! 🥰
Thank you! You too!
Who is the mystery lady?
Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, Polynesian.
The couch would be a sleeper sofa and the pull down under the TV with LILO and Stitch, is the Murphy bed😊
Kyle is a typical Midwesterner. Someone bumped into him and he apologize. That’s funny.
I tried using my phone to open my room at PO-Riverside and the door lit up green but didn’t actually open the door. It looked like it could work but it never did. Neither did my magic band, but I think I didn’t connect that properly since it was an old one!

Kyle, I'm glad your Daily Dose theme song is back on this video, because I miss that happy tune whenever it's left off.
Aloha! Such a pretty resort! Have a great thanksgiving!
You may already have one, but with all the stay-cations you do you should do a video on your favorite Disney resorts and why
Get to the room already lol. The anticipation!
I always use my phone as my key because it's a cool feature. sometimes I forget to have my bluetooth/wifi on and thats why it wouldn't work
If I could afford it, any deluxe hotel would be in my top five 😅
Was at Pop Century a couple of weeks ago and the phone opened the door for me. The magic band worked great after that. I always have issues with room cards. Somehow they seem to deactivate after a day or two. So I liked the magic band.

Watching this rn from a 24 degree Ohio and will be in Disney by 7pm today! 🤣
AKL is our real home resort but we usually split points with the Poly! It’s our home resort in my heart 💔
I actually couldn't get the phone door open feature to work for me at Port Orleans. Nor my magic band, kinda frustrating.
I love the Polynesian resort
The Polynesian is my favorite hotel but I may not be able to sell the price of the resort to my husband anymore. Daylight savings time ended at the beginning of November so we are back on standard time which is why it gets dark earlier now.

I do find that if I place the screen face the door it works better.
So I’ve stayed at poly twice! If I had to rank the 3 I stayed at its poly, the port, and art of animation!
I visit the Poly a lot for dining, but have never stayed here. Its less points to stay at the Boardwalk and\or Beach Club, and I can never justify spending more for the Poly.
Who else wants to go to Disney with Kyle
I remember that vlog with taylor and lora I've never stayed at the polynesian its on my bucketlist
Do you leave NFC on in your phone settings? I think that's what makes it work. Mine worked as soon as I turned on NFC. So...maybe?
Stayed at Pop Century over Labor Day weekend and was shockingly surprised when my phone and my husband’s phone actually unlocked the door on the first try (thank goodness because our magicbands were at the bottom of our luggage 🤣 I was fully prepared to have to go to the lobby to get a keycard, but luckily I didn’t have to 🎉

The key entry on the App always works for me, but I also bring a magic band just in case.
Isn’t it currently standard time not daylight savings time? I’d like to change to daylight savings time year round, I think.
We had the guide on our tv at pop century last stay!😊
The door feature never works for me either 😂
NEVER EVER haha
Stayed there in 2000 for a corporate event. Bill Cosby was our event entertainment. 🤣
We’ve never stayed at Poly . Ate in Ohana which we love ❤️ maybe some day . I always use my magic band to get in my rooms . Can’t wait to see the rest of your stay .
Glad you enjoyed Kyle! Yesterday was my birthday ❤🎉😂
70° is not cold
This room give me best western vibes I can’t believe people pay extra to stay on property
Omg!! Thank you Kyle for letting me know I can get Honolulu cookie company cookies from the Polynesian in Orlando 🤩🙌🏻
We stayed there in September and it was amazing!
My home resort. We love it.
Phone room key feature has never worked for me either!
loved staying at Polynesian specially when going to Aulani and coming back to stay at the Polynesian🌴🌺 But My favorite resort still is the Boardwalk!!
There’s a golf cart following you Kyle.
