kelon is a millennial though, but very much at the cusp.
Parts of this interview made me kind of sad but I hope Kelon realizes that he really is amazing, far beyond the Terriverse. I think a lot of artists struggle with seeing their self worth beyond their craft or specific things they're known for though. But I think even if Terri didn't exist, he'd eventually find another medium that would portray how funny and unique he is and still get the attention and payout he deserves. We love you Kelon. ♥♥♥
absolutely, i feel like some comedians are born and some don't find themselves until they turn into the personalities that are in their head, after seeing his real personality as kelon very nonchalant about 'stuff' its easy for him to not gaf when he ends a live with someone abruptly or when he mocks someone else and does it all with no regrets. I do hope he doesn't feel the need to be terri joe all the time to feel alive irl or to please ppl.....i can see more and more lately its annoying for him that ppl are calling his jeorgia peach and amoura rose characters terri joe and not addressing him as the character he is, everything is about terri joe and its kind of annoying as a viewer too. Even the guy in this podcast only really addressing terri

I think it’s just the awful questions these d grade youtubers are asking. They are asking him questions like he works in the IT department. Seriously they don’t even realise they are speaking to an artist
@@j23lo5eah on h3 it was same thing like trying to coach him in business- of course he wants to make money but he doesn’t want to be trapped in contracts or doing things he doesn’t want to do and sell out his genius. even if he never does anything but what he’s already doing it’s freaking amazing- there’s such a capitalist mindset that tends to come in and try to monetize everything above all else, but that’s why so many genuine things get ruined. no one that loves kelon wants to see that happen to his stuff!

I could feel very freaking down and wanting to drown on bed all day, but it just takes a clip of one of his characters to literally make me smile and laugh like nothing is happening in my life. He's just so good at what he does that it really inspires me.
@@vhardt840 he’s the only person that makes me wheeze with laughter honestly . The internet doesn’t really do dark humor much anymore because of how sensitive society is but the fact that that’s mainly what his characters do is so refreshing and hilarious
You don't cure depression it is a life long disease and some funny guy isn't going to change your brain and make it go away.

I would LOVE to se him move one and expand to different platforms but I believe it would be incredibly difficult to translate Terri Joe out of the current TikTok format. The live banter, the various characters, other people, it just gives it that special UMPF.

I’m a 30-year-old gay man and I can relate to Kelon so much, it’s crazy. Not really caring about anything, hating work, not being very ambitious or driven, but having a big imagination and a desire to exercise my creativity. Also having a relatively undefined personality, one crafted by observing others and taking on the traits you find desirable and/or advantageous for your own survival. My theory is that this stems from being made aware of the fact that I was different from a very young age, and so deciding early on that I couldn’t express myself freely for fear of being judged or ostracized by others. This made me feel very isolated as a kid, even while I’m naturally very sociable, because I felt like I could never fully be myself around others, and it became exhausting to put on an act. I see a lot of myself in how Kelon describes himself, so I would bet he has a similar story. Thankfully I have a bustling social life now with friends who love me for me, and I’m glad to hear that Kelon has found that too and has found a way to express his creativity through Terri Jo and his other characters. I’ve been on a Psyiconic binge lately, and it’s easy to see that Kelon is an absolute comedic genius within that medium. I cannot wait to see what he does next.

I wish people who interview him know more than just the Terri Joe character. Like talk about Jeorgia, Amethyst, Amoura, him being himself, or even the one time characters he’s done (like the NYC aunt with the smoker voice, the country girl with one missing tooth, & stuff).

of popularity and that literally gags ppl. I think lots of celebs play into the press of themselves and create this fan fare but literally are just bullshitting and have no idea what’s happening. I hope Kelon doesn’t lose that but also secures his bag. ❤
omg this is so insightful! Celebs playing into the press always looks tacky, watered down and mechanical. Its interesting to conceptualize the balance of riding the wave of mainstream notoriety and also staying true to your art and integrity.
He honestly sounds so depressed in the beginning. I recognize the affect, I know he was anxious and not the most comfortable…but there’s something underneath this that feels deeply sad. He deserves the joy he gives his audience, very talented.❤️🩹

As someone with panic attacks and severe anxiety daily, I can tell you he has high levels of anxiety like I do. I don't come across many . I can see the depression but chronic anxiety for sure.

I have severe anxiety and depression. Nothing really makes me react much in life. But Terrie Joe and Ms. Jeorgia peach with the big peach make me look forward to something ! I get home and am motivated to clean around the house and run errands and study. Then I relax after a shower and kick back and watch Terrie Joe’s live on the week days. 💕 so happy been here since under 600 viewers!

kelon’s personality wasn’t what i expected and i realized he’s really like me. when he talked about how he felt like he was just existing and don’t know his emotions that well i really felt that. ive gained huge respect for him

Instead of reading word for word questions off a piece of paper, they should only use that as a framework of where they want the interview to go, but instead they tried to do too much with the outta place “deep” questions. Like reaching. Instead of putting him at ease and actually listening and working off the vibes. This was bland and lacking on their part unfortunately. What a missed opportunity

I was wondering why this was so off. Zach almost seems like he’s judging him for not wanting to become a creator on UA-cam lol.
I understand why the interviewer is trying to get an understanding, but Kelon is saying he has no process. Some folk can be witty and quick off the cuff, while others have to prepare. This guy obviously can tap into the foolery without trying. They're trying to get him to be cerebral about it when it's not that deep for him. It's a gift. Also, Kelon is perfectly ripe for Hollywood vultures, because he doesn't know what he wants and seems to have no footing. I hope he doesn't allow types like the main interviewer is giving me take advantage of him. The eyes of the main interviewer are seriously lit up as if he were beholding a gold mine that he wants to possess at all cost. KELON, GET A MANAGER AND BE CAREFUL: READ YOUR CONTRACTS AND PROTECT YOUR CHARACTERS FROM CORPORATE. Once other commercial money becomes involved, then the watering down commences.
Kelon is so talented, he could be an SNL writer. I don’t think he fully understands exactly how talented he is yet. He’s very humble, but he’s such a great improv comedian. The fact that it’s so natural to him just shows how great he is at what he does, but once he realizes how valuable he is as an artist many huge opportunities will come his way
I just found Terri Joe last week on UA-cam clips cause I don’t have tik tok and I’m obsessed. His improv is so funny. I wish him all the best.

i relate to kelon so much… like i don’t feel like my own person. at all. i grew up alone… on the internet. i’m an observer. people see my potential but i’m always like wellll… I don’t know what I wanna do. and I feel like i’m not ambitious but I know I can be … but wow I’m so proud of Kelon for even going out and doing these interviews. he’s insanely funny and talented.
I love how Kelon just winged all of this and became so successful. it seems none of this was planned or thought out and just worked for him! I hope to stumble upon my success story like this one day.

I think his humor works right now because of all the overly politically correct stuff going on. It's refreshing to find such crude bold humor out in the mainstream. It works because he did this for no other reason than just to do it. Just pure expression. It's casual for him. There wasn't a plan, and there isn't a plan whenever he does Terri Joe, so I can imagine it being difficult to bottle it and be more intentional with Terri Joe. Because the very nature of trying to make money from it goes against the reason it came to be. It's possible, but tricky. He seems like a normal introverted guy, wallflower type of personality. A loveable funny and regular person with an insane sense of humor :)
This is exactly what I get from him. Id love to see him grow in whatever way he sees fit that’s authentic to him because that’s what we LOVE, but if we keep getting him to bless us with the Terriverse on TikTok lives for now until then I’m literally not complaining 😂
I really didn’t want to comment on any TikTok’s etc of Terri joes content bc I was embarrassed about how much he has got me thru hard times, in deep grief from losing my best friend of 20 years and granny in less than year & 5 months, struggling with BPD depression n more I never laugh anymore I’m a shell of a person nothing can hold my attention long enough but Terri joes lives distract me and completely make me feel like my old self again i laugh soo much I know my best friend would have loved all of kelons characters it is completely our type of messed up humour😂❤ but seeing so many ppl comment the same thing made me feel comfort(not that I want anyone to be suffering) I hope he grows more confident in himself and realises we all love him I think he has imposter syndrome and feels he isn’t as worthy as he is, wee love you kelon and the terriuniverse xxx

Kelon is one of the only people that makes me laugh consistently. Not just any laugh either, that painful laugh where your ribs start to hurt and you want to stop but you can’t
People need to honestly give the Jeorgia character the respect she deserves. Especially when in his more candid/off cam lives Kelon slips into that character the most on accident.

His Terri Joe character really is brilliant and it's funny that he's so disconnected from the power of it.
Many men wear wigs and give rude funny answers we have been watching this for years. I believe people who are younger and who didn't grow up seeing this type of comedy love him.

TBH I wish they talk about the other characters rather than Terri Joe. I understand she is the bigger character obviously; I just wish these interviewers were REAL watchers of Kelon live and discussed Georgia Peach, Amethyst and Amoura Rose.. They always make it seem as if Terri Joe is the only character Kelon plays.
