You should check out more Jump King Streams for Callie. Whenever someone pops in, its always real nice.
Calli and Ina are the chillest of the bunch, you can watch them on living room as they are pretty family friendly.

I played the original Metal Gear games too but I'm also very familiar with Platinum's over the top action games which I found to be a damn good mix for me, but I think it's mainly due to playing from both developers extensively and having a blast
Calli has high gremlin energy and just does a really good job of containing it. It has a habit of bursting out at random moments. Gura is very good at pulling said gremlin out of her.

I bought it before it went off sale and went back to normal price funny enough, a week later it went back on sale for the same price

I think it was back during Calli's debut that she said she likes the From Software games, and ever since then I've dreamt of her doing a co-op playthrough of any of the Soulsborne games with the other (probably inexperienced) HoloEN girls; sadly it seems that will never become a reality :(

Kinda sad because the reason I even bought many of the games I've gotten really attached to was because I saw someone else play it and wanted to try for myself. Even when I was a kid, I picked up games I saw my friends play at their house. Similar stuff with less real friends involved lol
I understand getting permissions though. Mio's whole channel was almost taken down and I wouldn't want them to go through a similar situation again. That was quite scary

@@thevoid3010 basically, she streamed a game that hololive didn't have a license or permission to stream like most if not all streamers do so the game company copyright struck her and almost took down her channel due to how many videos she had done, this, in turn, caused hololive to panic and take down massive content library's and vods until they could get permission to show said content and reuploaded them, on top of having to follow youtube's terms of services, this is also why whenever they stream a new game it's always some form of collaboration with the game developers like with guardians of the galaxy or korona and assassins creed Valhalla
The whole situation is just stupid. Not only do they have to get permission from the developers and/or publishers, they can't show cutscenes sometimes, like Ina playing Resident Evil. UA-cam and their claim policy are pure garbage.

Hurts me hololive not being able to stream From games too. I'm dying to see they playing any Soulsborne, just imagine Calli showing her gaming skills on it, Ame being salty as heck, Kiara trying something different, Ina digging the lore and Gura crying. So much content.
MGS is another too, actually, Pekora's MGS3 playthrough was what made me jump into the rabbit hole.

A pity that that vod isn't "officially" around anymore, but I know some people have it archived. I know Pekora really digged the MGS franchise, the story and the characters.
Bomber Usagi would probably be her Foxhound codename, if I had to give her one. She'd be one of those annoying bosses who had mines planted in random places on the arena and throw carrot shaped grenades everywhere. She'd also call in Nousagi to distract the player while she recovered. (Why am I thinking of a boss fight for her randomly?)
It'd definitely be a more fun boss fight than Fatman.

It's not so much of From Soft but their Publisher Bandai Namco.. It depends on how their publishing contract is written, but given American Publishers with their artists... I doubt it.

It's dumb but if it's a story game and u watch it you don't need play for the story anymore now there is no reason to buy it. It's kinda sad becuz it became a reason for many studios to not produce story games. Honestly if they made story games with great gameplay then it would not be a problem since now there is a reason to play. This happened to Nintendo a few years ago... An example is any spider man games becuz it's a console exclusive many ppl didn't want to a but the console so they just streamed it.

I think there was also a case before with a bigger youtuber who was popular for his lets plays, but the devs/studio was envious that the youtuber was getting the youtube money because of the high views and were just jealous of that, so they pulled the plug on anyone wanting to stream/make videos of their game. The result was of expected and they got huge backlash from the community lol, tho idk what happened to them after that
Some companies are also China based and are still salty over the Coco incident. So they won't give Cover permissions because they never reprimanded Coco. That's the reason why no Holos can play that one rhythm game (I forget what it's called. Gura, Suisei, and Fubuki all played it. I think it was Muse Dash)

It must actually be kind of nice to have that distinction. I know a lot of content creators end up not playing much off stream, so to have stuff that if you wanna play it you have to do it off stream probably helps preserve it as a hobby.

1:25 Gura (and any DMC beginners) I got a bit of advice for ya. Just practice like one or two bread and butter combos that you can reliably pull out in any fight, then just stop thinking. 🤣
Back when I first played DMC4 like a decade ago, worrying about perfect Exceeds and Charged Shots just burned my brain out. Simple and effective is all that matters. That and maybe some technical stuff like when not to attack Dante 😏
Honestly, I've only used exceeds and charge shots a couple of times (to test them) then never again. Plain sword combos and busters carried me easily from beginning to end.
That's solid advice. As a person who's so used to the controls and combos in DMC5 I just use exceeds and charge shots constantly. Always got a finger on the gun button as Nero and I find myself tapping the exceed button as Dante and V.
But yeah, bread n butter until you can muscle memory those skills. Then start trying new things. Mix up combos with jump cancels and taunts.
@@clonedvarient4154 Now that you mention it, another thing someone might have to ask Gura in the future is what controller settings she's using. I got big into DMC4 when the Special Edition came out, and I searched up a bunch of videos about control mappings.
Playing as Nero, I had to reconfigure my controls so I could actually charge Charged Shot with my left hand. It's amazing how much difference an optimized controller scheme helps combat flow.
@@AkiratheWhite i use a slightly modified scheme. I just tied DT to my LB button and breakaway to "Up D-pad". Aside from that I hold X and use Y for attacks and it works fine for me.
DMC4 Nero is easy... Hold down Blue Rose. Use Red Queen's first and second combo. Use Red Queen's third combo for Max Exceed. Only perform the alternate combo for his air attack. Learn the basic link combos between the ground and into the air or vice versa. Then DT when you need to heal or to use his special ability. Then Air Hike on enemies as much as possible.
His Devil Bringer is the most simpler inputs to use since it's two different actions with lock on being an input grab.
As for Dante???... Vergil is easier even without his Concentration Meter.
Dante is just... Well... It's better to stick with one style and one melee + range weapon. Then slowly merge the others into his combos.
Lady and Trish are much more simpler than Nero but play them on Legendary Dark Knight Mode for the fun of it.
I already see comment blaming Hololive for not letting them play those games so for those people that was blaming Hololive do you guys even consider that the reason can be that Konami won't give them permission to stream it?
You don’t need permission to stream anything dude.
They need to give us good reason why rather than stay quiet and making the viewers keep pointing fingers at the company.
@@maninthemask6275 You actually do need permission on certain DEVELOPERS or platform holders. Since most of Holomem is monetized (maybe all, idk), there are video policy or 'terms of use' they need to check before they can stream

You can’t copyright claim videos/sharing media of using interactive software. Unless you were showing the source code or something there is literally nothing no company could do.

Calli & Gura are one of my favourite pairings by a colossal margin. The stuff they come out is just so utterly random & "carefree", it's fantastic value content... xD
Definitely never enough collabs between those two where they just talk about anything & everything. They do seem to have the perfect blend of similar & different tastes & interests, as all good friends should.
Would totally drop everything to watch a stream of Calli playing MGR though for sure, damn. Really sucks they don't have permission for it... That's amusing. I'm surprised companies like Acti-Blizz and EA are still around. They have the WORST practices I've ever seen.
Pachinko makes a ton of money. It's the JP version of Vegas slot machines only most have little animated stories you can unlock by doing better/playing enough. Never underestimate the addiction of gambling and what little things you can do to entice the player. It's why Vegas still runs, it's why gacha has become so popular and loot boxes were/are everywhere.
Konami can ride on it's pachinko forerver and not give a damn.

Their 2020 financial report is sus, they reported what they gained in "gaming" revenue EXACTLY covered for the loss of their pachinko and health centers in the initial pandemic lockdowns.
Konami sat there with a straight face and told investors that Bomberman on Stadia saved the company and apparently their investors were stupid enough to believe it or they know it's a front and no longer care.

The problem is, you cannot monetize it or you will be hit with a copyright claim. It is probably Hololive that wants to monetize it and Konami either wants a 50% share or no deal.

I wonder besides dmc, if calli would play castlevania lament of innocence or curse of darkness. These are seriously underrated games. Heck a switch of sorts, gura plays castlevania, calli plays dmc. Since I'm a fan of both, the overlap and themes are very obvious that there was a time alot of people said that dmc is just 3d castlevania.

About Metal Gear Rising, it's not even just Konami.
For some reason, Rising almost DID NOT get a Japanese dub to it. They had to BEG to get one.
Japan has some extreme core issue with Rising, one that is much further reaching then you'd think. No one wants to associate with it at all on ANY level.

Well of course you'd know what to do in Devil May Cry, Calli, if you just practice it. In fact, it's simple to remember.
Sword/Gun combos, special attacks, Devil Trigger, boss fight mechanics... then again, it WOULD be tough for her.
Though honestly, if Gura's into DMC so much, she SHOULD try out Darksiders series.
I feel like most of the reason Gura likes DMC is how fun the main characters are. So she'd probably love MGRR, but Darksiders's first two protagonists are kinda bland. I can't remember how Fury was, but that's probably not a good sign for her being a fun character.

One game franchise I’d absolutely LOVE for HololiveEN (especially Gura and Ina) to stream is without a doubt the Bioshock series. Lots of potential for dumb, fun shenanigans and memery right there.

Honestly, I think instead of playing MGR:Revengeance, at least making a cover of one of the songs from the OST would be cool. Same for a lot of the games the Holomems want to play on stream too but staff said no when you think about it.

See, like big open games, or games that have a whole ton of options, are the ones that wear me out. Stardew, Fire Emblem Three Houses, and BotW all stress me out for similar reasons.
Stardew was relaxing at first and I put a lot of hours into it, but then the stuff just felt tedious and also stressed me when I didn't do everything perfect lol. I totally get that feeling
