You are a beautiful human being inside and out. Warm greetings from your Somali brother. Keep going and stay safe wherever you go, and thank you for showing us Jigjiga.
Sister you should have a local guide who can show you around or maybe collaborate with local youtubers from Jigjiga. I think because of the rainy weather not alot of people are out and about.
Welcome to the Somali region, sister. Somalis are not half-Christian/Muslim or non-religious like the Oromo or Amhara people; they are all Muslim. There may be a few individuals living in Western countries who have left Islam, but in Somalia or the Somali region, we are 100% Muslim.
I am not sure but I guess the Oromo and the Amhara are religious in their own way.. I'd like to hear further on this subject because naturally, we Africans are people of faith (from Johannesburg)..
The pace is slower there but extremely peaceful and safe for a person who'd like, especially if it is a Muslim faith person.. There's plenty of Mosques around. I saw in the previous video, a comment that Jigjjga is not far from Hargeisa, Somaliland. It shows how big, diverse and wonderful Ethiopia is.. Thanks friend for the hard work.
first of all thank you for visiting jigjiga and I enjoyed the view of city. I am from jigjiga living abroad in Canada 🇨🇦 sister let me tell to pronounce the city name as jigjiga not jijiga. Jigjiga is the capital city of federal somali region region in Ethiopia. I really been away from this city for long long time and it amazing the development I saw on this vlogs thanks once again 🙏
Many thanks dear for ur efforts. We need to see more of Jigjiga countryside, farms, market, new construction. Jigjiga is vibrant place with loads of opportunities. My grand father left Jigjiga 150 yrs ago & l can't wait to come & see my family. Ur youtube inspired me❤.
The problem is too many habahi and oromo and other nations and nationalities sre moving in to the city. Somalis need in jigga need stop these people or will lose the city like dira dhaba. 7:54 ty
The mosque is not the first. But it was the bigest mosque. I'm from jigjiga, when you wanna to get information about the city or something you have ask the local people or know. For example the area of Royal hotell it names sheekh cabdi salaam. Jigjiga became in Ethiopia 1952.. jigjiga have not 2 or three mosque but it's over 400...so ask the local people.
Said who ? I ain't Amhara but I speak Amharic is that a problem ? Do you have to be am English man to speak English ? I said she should use whatever language they speak. But I am 100 percent sure they don't speak English.

That's crazy ! They cannot claim to be part of Ethiopia and at the same time have a flag which contains no any Ethiopian symbols, but is rather a combination of Somaliland and Somalia's flags. People were asking themselves in the last few yeas: "When did the Somali Regioin of Ethiopia become independent?"
You will understand if you look at the history of the region in a honest way, this land was never part of Ethiopia and it was added when the British left east africa recently. The land and people are Somali very simple you don’t have to look far or act confused
@@MohamedAli-pk5qv But even if the flag is not Ethiopian, the people are under Ethiopian rule. The history of the Somali Region is true as you say, but it's foolish and dangerous to wake up one morning, remove the Ethiopian flag and replace it with a Somali one without consent from the Federal Republic of Ethiopia which rules all Ethiopia Internally and externally. It's true that the regions in Ethiopia have great internal independence, but the Federal Government has exclusive rights in the crucial areas of sovreignty such as the national security, the national army, the national borders, the Federal laws and the Federal Constitution, education and health. No region can can become independent from Ethiopia without a formal agreement from the Federal Parliament of Ethiopia. The other alternative is war. The Somali Region has gone to war for independence from Ethiopia from time to time since Emperor Menelik in 1897 but every time they failed, either because of the weak resolve of the Somalis and their tribal divisions or the stronger, imperialistic expansionist resolve of Ethiopia.
@@ThebattleofthehornIt was MADE part of Ethiopia after 1945. If things continue the way it is at the moment, I don't think this unholy union will last until 2045.
