Great video and one of my favourite songs of the 1960s. Interesting little factoid: Spencer Dryden, one of the members of Jefferson Airplane, was the nephew of Charlie Chaplin, whose slapstick style partially inspired Patrick Troughton's peformance as the Doctor.
@GusF Not to mention that Frazer Hines was in a movie (A King in New York) with Charlie Chaplin (he makes a cake out of Chaplin's hat, who then sits on it--it was Frazer's idea and Chaplin liked it)! Kind of appropriate that Patrick Troughton was so Chaplinesque.
I noticed Gulliver got left out amongst the characters (played by frequent Who guest star, Bernard Horsfall). Mind Robber fans should check out the City of Spires trilogy from Big Finish. It's a worthy successor. The fact that Alice Liddell is one of the characters in it, makes this video particularly apt! Of course, you've got Zoe as the Mistress of the Land and the amazing fiction!Jamie (that amazing speech about the Doctor never checking on the real Jamie, who may have been hung... WOW.).
Those White Robots were actually painted yellow or grey so they would stand out more in front of that white set scene. Later they would be painted black and used in another BBC Sci Fi show that I've heard no longer exists due to the BBC destroying the films they were filmed on.
growing up in the 60s &70s drugs & dr. who were not uncommon, rather fun actually, being stoned and seeing wendy padbury in that sparkle catsuit was great fun. Today it still is, so was disneys fantasia , and all those crazy Betty Boop cartoons, & don't forget The Wizard of OZ, and oops to much fun!!! back to reality, Zoe & sarah jane were my favorite companions, Liz sladen was perfect with Tom Baker as Wendy was with Patrick , her smile was so infectious, and those eyes !!! Hmmm Puff Puff, YES
@nileqt1987 Well, besides the shot of him with Rapunzel and the children. And a bit more Jamie. Still, The Mind Robber really deserves fanvids like this! And it's such an obvious song choice.
I'ts weird though, on the vhs copy I had, the image was the sort of the blurry quality as opposed to the more crisp clear type footage in this vid. Yet when you compare 0:08 in both qualities, the lower one does a better job hiding the attempt at making us think Zoe is in a void, as opposed to obvious set background. I had never realised it until I saw the better quality version on the Horror Channel.
This serial really was like one big drug trip. I still have no idea what happened in The Mind Robber. Apparently some computer was behind it all, but who built it, and why? Or was the whole thing just a mass hallucination experienced by the Doctor and his companions? Still, I really enjoy it for some reason.
Love this story, love Zoe's costume and great song choice
Perfect song for such a trippy episode and brilliantly edited!!
excellent choice of music for a great classic story.
Great mix of video and audio. White Rabbit is so late 60s it fits the Troughton era perfectly and especially The Mind Robber.

I love how the robots look like they were made with cardboard in five minutes :D
