    Magnifique !! La musique tient ici le milieu entre la nature matérielle et la nature intellectuelle : elle peut dépouiller l'amour de son écorce terrestre, ou donner un corps à l'ange selon les dispositions de celui qui écoute, ses accords sont des pensées ou des caresses 🔥🕊

    Such nice dissonances throughout, love it.
    At the very end, did the two top voices switch places? Seemed so to my ears.

      My friend makes the claim that every piece with Miserere in it is amazing, and it's really not a bad heuristic.
      Yeah, they seem to switch to my ears as well.

    And yet another obscure composer grabbed from the obscurity vortex.. . Since I am in the category of "obscure composer" I would like to say Clerambault has a gift for re-packaging Monteverdi, who wrote, uhm, better works late in life (50-60 years before C was born). "Zefiro torna el bel tempo di rimina" (Madrigals, book XVI, I believe) comes to mind. Granted, this was a difficult period for a composer (like our present age) because what are you gonna do, polyphany or basso continuo?
