Thanks Bro for taking the time to produce a professional and straight-forward video on the Rane firmware update. I don't own the Rane 72 mixer, but wanted to watch this to see what all the hype was about. I just got the Rane Seventy in July and it's been a solid mixer so far. I like the stand-out loop section on the Seventy compared to the 72. Anyway, just wanted to give you props for a great video tutorial. Be safe!

Please, how do i upgrade the Rane 70 firmware?

I didn’t have my 70 long enuff to update the firmware so What you need to do is go to the Rane website go to downloads check your current version by looking at the small screen when powering it on compare the available update to what your 70 is running if there’s no version higher then your 70 reads then it’s not one but if it is a high number firmware then you need to also download or read your manual to see how to update or contact Rane direct and wait for them to reply with your how to. Hope this helps

Does the Rane 70 have the “Hold Effect” feature from that update? I’m debating on getting the 70 or the 72 MK2, but if the Rane 70 has the Hold Effect, I’ll get it instead. Thanks in advance.

Yes I believe it does that is also my one of my favorite features the hold feature both mixers are great mixers it’s a matter of do you want the screen or not always check the Rane website for more details just to be sure

thanks for the input looks like the mag 4 faders are running about $99 each.i will def be upgrading my 72 no rush though because i have them in my seventy.
