I swapped the icepicky Burstbuckers out of my 04 Standard a few years after i bought it. Put in Seymour Duncan Seth Lovers after some recommendations and I fell in love with them such a huge improvement.
lol what are you even talking about, this is just a lazy guitar comparison not a pick up comparison. He is just comparing different guitars. A pick up comparison is when you use one guitar and swap out different types of pick ups.
Those OX4s sound great for thrash playing, lots of edge but not a lot of sweetness, and will totally cut through a mix. The Mojos seem to have a more vintage blend of warmth and clarity. Nice work!
Dang, I am a Jackson freak but I have had and played several Gibsons. The thing I love about Gibson is I know that if I play a Gibson, I know the pickups are going to be fantastic and the guitar is gonna play great. I had a high end Epiphone SG and the pickups were mediocre but useable, I think they were Gibson Burstbuckers, I do not know what happened there. I have had Gibson SGs with P90s and mini humbuckers as well and they were fantastic.
I really do like the gibson burst buckers. The other set I have heard that I really like are Lindy fralins pure paf set. If I spend the money on a custom shop LP it’s staying the way I bought it. Better not spend $7,000 and still not like its tone.
@@Borski135 yea that’s true. I’ve never felt the need to change the pickups with custom shop guitars ive bought and that even goes for standards aswell. The only pickup I’ve changed in a LP was the 490r set as they were to high output for me
#OX4 makes a #Slash A5 Pickup and a #Page A2/A5 Pickup that aren't on their website. #OX4 has a Low Wind A4 Pickup that is highly regarded. #Dan from #TPS uses them in a Gibson #LesPaul 1958 R8. #OX4 has a generic humbucker that can be configured any way you like...Windings, Magnets, Covered, Bobin Colors, etc.. Also consider upgrading the wiring loom (pots and caps). #Montys
Tend to agree with you overall, I have 0X4's in my '07 Goldtop, they have good note bloom and cut through without being harsh... but tone is in the ears of the beholder... 🎵r0ck0n 🎵

Sounds good! I've never played the Seth lovers, what kind of voicing is the pickup (hi or lo turn?)
I love how much went into making this, I know changing those pickups out 4 different times in of itself is exhausting. I appreciate this
The guitars where fitted with the pickups already, there wasnt any soldering done in between the comparisons. Each pickup set was in its own LP

DiMarzio super distortion. The best pickup ever made.
Al Di Meola, Ace Frehley.
Swapped the burstbucker in the bridge of my LP Supreme for a BKP Brute Force and couldn't be happier!
@@logansale332 nice one man! Bareknuckle are always class
@@logansale332 I love the black dogs
Agreed Ox4
@@aleksik4028 they’re amazing!!!
Awesome video as always
@@Yayeet3000 thank you!
I voted custombuckers in your poll but I think I’m an OX4 guy now after this. Man they’re some great looking guitars in this vid
I’m a OX 4 camp too!!
Thanks for watching @danielryan2825 - yea it’s a Gibson fanboys dream this video! The ox4s sound amazing and the double cream look is the best

@@kennypro5128 yea I agree! The Gibson and mojotone are more vintage voiced and slightly tamer
As per my previous comment, the box you show is from mojo in the UK not mojo tone in the US. Two different companies. @@squealingpigguitars2438
never thought id hear the A tout le monde solo like this but it sounded absolutely amazing! 🤩
Thanks man!! I hope you enjoyed the comparison 🤟
Wrong Mojo.
That box is from UK Mojo pickups, not the American Mojo Tone.

8 Bomb Custom Pickups is the Answer!

In a mix you wouldn’t hear he difference.
@@xtravyx1 I can hear a difference. In the mix test the ox4 and slash cut way more. The custombucker and mojotone are more tame
OX4! It's not even close
@@joe_stepik yea the OX 4 pickups are on another level
The best humbuckers for Les paul are made by Gibson! 😜
