We usually have apples, bananas or oranges on a bowl on the side table😄 And sometimes bread (in a bag)
Thank you😗
A little tip. You shouldn't keep apples with other fruits, as the make them rot faster because of the gas they give up.
And pears.
I use kitchen scissors to clip bacon, chili, salad, and sometimes chicken. The scissors I got with a knife set are so flimsy though that I got the classic orange Fiskars scissors.
I keep fruit on small baskets (banana, apples, klementines, etc. also a few avocados to ripen them) on the side table.
There are both white- and brown-shelled eggs in Finland, depends on what you happen to get. Finland is virtually free of salmonella, so eggs are stored non-refridgerated - they are just wiped, not brushed and certainly not with water, so they stay fresh quite long due to their natural protection. If you wash them (or put them in the fridge) they start to "leak", and you need to store them in the fridge.
You showing the air fryer made me want to comment that deep frying food isn't common in Finland. At least in my experience, the only time I've seen deep frying done at home is the doughnuts for May Day.
OH You're right! Good point 😎👍👍
I think it's the same all over Scandinavia, we don't really fry food that much at home, other than cookies ( Danish Christmas cookies) I can't think of any. Most people I know make fries in the oven or in airfriers.
I think that one thing that you didn't mention is that in Finland stoves are almost always heated by electricity and those stoves which I have seen in Korea are by gas. Is that usual situation in Korea, or is it just my limited observation set? And fire blankets are reasonably common at kitchens in Finland.
Ikr? It's a good point! New APT tend to have electric stoves as Finland but most are using gas stove! The house I live in Seoul has electric one!
"Fire blankets"? Like for putting out fires, or for setting hot dishes on?
@@PongoXBongo For extinguishing grease fires. Those don't need maintenance, are cheaper and make lot less mess than bottle type fire extinguishers.
@@ptappola Sounds like a handy thing to have. In the US, most people keep a little bottle type extinguisher under the kitchen sink. But as you said those things are messy, and the CO2 ones can literally take your breath away in a small space.
Love your videos!! I’m a 17y/o finnish girl and my best friend is half korean and half finnish. Because of her i’m nowdays really into korean culture, history and entertainment.
So i am really thankful that you make these kinds of Korean vs finnish things❤️
Also, about the dishes, we do use washing machines more, but many times we use do actually those rubber-ish gloves.
”Sinillä siivous sujuu” 😂
Anyway, It’s really nice to know more about my best friend’s other culture and i admire korean culture as much as you seem to admire finnish!❤️
Love your videos and your personality! Love from Finland!!💙🇫🇮🇫🇮
You've been too long in Finland when you go like: "I just had coffee, now im gonna have some more" (paraphrasing)
Hi SoulofSol, just wanted to tell you, that there are lots of brown eggs also in Finland, but white eggs are just more common. It actually depends on the colour of the chicken. If the chicken species is white, the eggs they lay are white as well and if the species is brown, they lay brown eggs. :-)
I love youu😍💜 (btw I'm from Finland and this is really fun and interesting to watch!)
Aww, thank you
We have a fruit bowl on our kitchen table and also vitamin bottles. Also there's both white and brown/orange eggs in Finland
From finland here, we have bananas or apples always our dining table
Im from Finland
Welcome!
Mä myöa
We have more plates than bowls in Australia too. So cool seeing the similarities & differences between the kitchens. Woah I would love a kimchi fridge!!
Jeju Island is on my to-do list of places to visit. Great video♥️♥️♥️
Saw you on Bubbly's channel. Take good care of Max!! :)
Im so happy Gochujang is now sold in finland also. But only the smaller box😁
Heyhey 🤩! I love your videos cause those are really interesting and I can't decide should I go to some asian country as transfer student?
Our finnish kitchen is messy but rest the same like you told. We also have mandarins or pears or other fruits on table and tea hidden somewhere. And then we have like 20 pairs of wooden chopsticks because metal ones just can't be found in finland. Mostly our refrigerator door is full of school things. And last thing is that I was surprised you didn't tell we have cheese slicers. In my opinion cheese slicer is also the best tool to peel fruits.
Bye, Come to Helsinki someday yey hey~
You're so pretty! I love this video❤🙏
Thank you💕 and your nickname btw,,, 🙄🙄
Yea haha Hansol is one of the members in Seventeen my fav kpop group 💕🙏
wonderfull can hear u talk bless u..
1:19 Vietnamese coffee 🤣I miss them when living in Finland 😅
I think it is pretty common for eggs to be available in both colors in Europe.
I'd watch a coffee making asmr video.
Very interesting seeing the kitchen differences these two cultures.
That sounds good! And thank you so much ♡
Egg colour is determined by the breed of chicken.
That’s your house!! Ihana💗 come to finland asap sol
great to hear finnn music and u sing finnn..
Hi, Where can you buy those holders for spoon and chopsticks? Really would love to have them in my kitchen but didn’t see any in stores even when I visited in Korea.
I am Finnish would be nice if you come to Finland sometime head of the City of Kuopio 😍 my name is Basoki 🇫🇮
Hey Basoki! Welcome 💕💕
Bowls is only for the ice-cream 😋😂
2:09 Bless you!!
Thank you!!!!
I almost had a heart attack when I saw you make coffee with that powder, without a coffee maker?? Yup, I'm Finnish... Am I the only one so shook, has the whole world been making coffee like this behind my back?!
Lol really, that shocking? Haha
Ei oo koskaan silmiin osunut, mut the more you know!!
@@SoulofSol Idk I've always seen people make coffee with a coffeemaker and I thought it was the only way😂
@@inkam.3193 Drip coffee makers are the norm here in the US as well. We don't really have hot water kettles (unless you're a tea drinker). Making ramen requires firing up the stovetop, lol.
@@PongoXBongo same here in finland
in finland some people keep apples on the table or grapes
Thanks mom
😍😍😍👍 Thank you!
Im finnish🇫🇮🇫🇮. I like look your videos 🙃😍💗 your videos is funny and good👍
Thank you so much!!
Damn rice people, potato is the way to go :D (BTW the sink&tap looks really odd and does it have the dish drying cabinet above it)

Yay!!!! I'm so glad XD
Korean food looks soooo delicious 😋😍 I want to taste it so bad but yeah you really can't get Korean food in Finland. And in k-dramas when they eat I always get so hungry 😂 anyway great video♥️
Really recommend trying finding gochujang (hot pepper paste) from Asian markets! Gochugaru (Korean chilli powder) is so much harder to find anywhere, I'm currently in Australia and got really addicted using it here and making Korean dishes.
How about trying making Korean food there buddy!
@@SoulofSol oh I have tried couple of times but I can't make some foods bc in stores they don't always have the ingridients, and I am not that great cook x3
@@AliceKikyou Yeah, I would like to buy that but we don't have any Asian markets here in my town. And I don't travel that much..
핀란드 거주중입니다. 솔로 변기 닦는다고 할때 너무 웃었어요 ㅋㅋㅋ
So that is like a weeks worth emergency supply of kimchi? 🤔 Anyway, I usually have a bowl of fruits like mandarins, tomatoes and banana on the kitchen table if anything. Other differences I noticed were the kitchen tap and the stove, we don't have the hose in it and we have electric stoves. One more thing about us finns is that we like to clean up our home really well if we are getting important guests, or have our kitchen showed on UA-cam which is probably why your boyfriend's kitchen was so tidy. 🙂
damn that tub of gochujang was massive, over here (UK) all I can get (easily) are tiny 5cm-tall jars lol
😂 yep that one was huge !
8:25 so much kimchi😮😋 ❤
Hmm.. maybe it will last for 1 month :D
Probably not so different than a pantry full of canned veggies?
"Pls tell me in the comments what they are."
*turns around to look at the table*
"Nothing. Its clean like babys butt."
안녕하세요~ 솔님~~ ㅋㅋ
영어 잘 하시네요🙌
고기 먹고 싶다아~~ ㅋㅋ
How in the hell is it possible that someone is so cute..?
I only wash frying pans with my hands, everything else but not wood goes to the washing machine.
Rice wine i must buyiy for my mom
Omg that's so funny, I had no idea they use that kinda brush only for bathrooms in Korea! :O I always use it for washing dishes and it's a little hard to find in the UK too so I just head straight to Ikea and they have loads! xD LOVE the video
Aww, thank you 💕💕 Be careful when you visit Korean next time! Hehe

I am a Finn living in Finland, but my kitchen is much closer to the Korean than the Finnish example.
happy u hav e now much room..
yr english is good
The Korean giants Samsung and LG are making dishwashers, so I reckon there must be a significant domestic market as well.
We have in my house so many magnets (I don't know how write this but.. )
I'm Finnish
Like this video a lot.. Thank you @SoulofSol.
Why is some korean products blurred? Is it illegal to show the products name? 😊
I like your videos so much ! I'm Chinese which living in Finland , I also making videos about Finland and I putted your channel to related channel in mine if you don't mind XD Love to see more your videos coming and welcome you back to Finland one day 😆
Humm i think i got Deja vu watching this today
HAHA did you actually watch the previous video that was deleted?
@@SoulofSol I did yes >_>
Maybe in table is some bananas and apples or grapes
The Finnish kitchen seems pretty comparable to US kitchens. While we don't have kimchi refrigerators, some people do have extra "chest" (like treasure chest) freezers to store meat, fish, veggies, etc. (or dead bodies, we seem to have a lot of cannibals here, lol).
VIETNAMESE COFFEE YAY
OI! I’m Vietnamese!
Nie wiem co lepiej czy jesc z twojej reki czy cie wielbic jako kucharke ?
those moves.... :D
🙃🙃🙃
Bread
you look like shi miao.
❣️❣️😍❣️😍❣️😍❣️😍❣️
Oh dear. This isn't a cultural difference. This is just lifestyle differences between your parents and your boyfriend. Almost everything you show can be found in both Korea and Finland Dishes, peelers, dishwashers, sinks, etc. Kimchi fridge...Korean, for sure. But you didn't mention the BBQ in the middle of the table. This is more Korean, and it would be hard to find a restaurant in Finland that has the BBQ/grill at every customer table, although there are Korean restaurants for this experience.
Haha but we dont usually have that grill in the house !
@@SoulofSol Very true. 😄
