He builds orchid because the bloodthorn upgrade gives truestrike against am + the stats of BT is better than harpoon for this game and he already has catch with blink but his team lacks control ( no hex or silence or immediate stun on any of them ) bloodthorn is overall better to have in your inventory this game than harpoon.
