- Welcome to the new three underground stations, Chinatown - Rose Park, Union Square/Market Street and Yerba Buena/Moscone Station!
Today (November 19th, 2022) is the grand opening of the Central Subway, with a weekend only shuttle running between 4th & Brannan to Chinatown Station, providing metro service with a 12-min frequency!
In this video you will see multiple Siemens S200 trains pull in and out of the underground station platforms, including train #2022 and #2053 heading into the parking on the track beyond Chinatown Station!
Beautiful trains and wonderful station😉👍️✨
I agree! Much better than the old ones!
0:30 Tech And Transit was there on 2080.
Yep!
I rode 2075 on the Central Subway this afternoon! It was attached to 2068 when I rode it while this video sees 2075 attached to 2080
Oh really? That’s interesting it might be something happening at 4th/Brannan end
the clip of 2075 is attached to 2068 though
I hope the ball park goes will take this to the games. This will eliminates the chaos at Embarcadero. Are there changes to N Judah? In the past, I had to wait over 15 minutes going to Sunset, but the other routes passes by. Will this change the frequency to be the same as L J K M etc?
All metro routes should have no change in frequency except the K and S. Since K will be shortened to Embarcadero only, it will not be as frequent as the old KT. I believe the S will run more frequently as KT is gone.
@@TohaBgood2 I do agree that Market street subway right now is too crowded, especially the switchback at Embarcadero… too many lines using that all at once
@@TohaBgood2 that’s very true… everyone wanted a one-seat ride to a destination but it can be quite challenging sometimes. I would rather make transfers and have a frequent line in the subway, ease access and less issues as well
@@TohaBgood2 having one (or two) subway routes is a good practice since it becomes more handy with switching back trains and making arrangements. If transfers are smooth enough that will be good
Do you think Bredas would run on this subway 🤔? Or are they gonna make T the only siemens train route and “give” all bredas to the K instead
I believe they will, starting January 7th. If the entire T uses Siemens, all other routes will suffer since Bredas will now be heavily used on those routes
Yes
Yes I agree that I think Next Service Changes We all old BREDAs Would run on this new subway called Central Subway with Muni T 3rd Line from 4th + King to Chinatown and the make the T 3rd St Line with All BREDAs and a half of Siemens route and give all siemens and a half of BREDAs on K Ingleside Line and Other Lines Like J,M,N,S too 😊🎉😂❤
Surprising how they didn't put LRV 2/3s unlike in the test runs!
Maybe they don’t want a Breda here to breakdown on the first day
@@sfmunioperations haha yeah probably
4:51 welp, I can see myself I guess!
Oh wow I didn’t notice until you pointed out 😂
Did they Made A New Station For Light Rail
Not just one, but four
On the first day Chinatown Elevators are out of service I was like “bruh”
I think later during the day they fixed it? I was able to ride one of them at least
I think the Yerba Buena elevators broke down on the first 2 days, I can't remember which day though
@@ottokrause3083 should be Saturday I believe 🤔
