I am having an issue with my EVO X MR, the only change I've made to my stock rom is removed speed limit(bcuz jdm model) since then I cannot turn off my traction control and whenever I launch the car and it detects the slightest bit of wheel spin, the traction control comes on No matter if i hold down the button for 3 seconds until the warning is displayed. If I attempt launching with the traction control off it cuts the throttle for about half second. When I launch with TC on the car launches fine as long as it doesnt spin too much. Since then Ive done HKS air filter and 3.5 inch Silicon Intake pipe, MAP UICP and a 3inch Cat back Exhaust. Now I cant launch the car period. (bone stock I ran 13.5 1/4 miles, with intake it got .2 sec faster, now its much slower 13.7 at best) I am much more comfortable self tuning my EVO 5 , I will be greatful if you can continue to do more in depth videos on how to tune the TC-SST.
Is there a way to get S-Sport to be the default mode? Couple of things I've learned owning, building and working with a solid tuner on my 14 MR. Heated sump is what you want in these MR's, not a cooler. It's works as both and is able to hold 180F better than a straight cooler or plain deep SSP pan. Cold is far more dangerous than heat on the clutches and at least heat with induce limp mode that saves the trans, cold does not. Getrag's posted torque limit is 347 crank, so 350+ at the wheels on stock clutches is quite beyond it's design limits. Not trying to push opinions BD, you are a fountain of knowledge, I'm just speaking from my experience with my tuner and my 14...those are variables in a sea of variables.
I don't know anyway of making that a default mode. Yes the kozmic heated pan would be a good solution but it's misleading. That is a temperature control system. It heats up when cold and cools down when hot. In her case (and most cases I have seen) , the cooling is needed more often. I feel the stock system is really not made for people beating on their cars. The cooling systems have cheaper options.
@@bdalchemist So in this case, this specific vehicle would require a new clutch although the tune was done? Would that require a whole SST rebuilt or simply replacing the clutch? TIA!
Great video as always 👍 any inputs on high idle when cold( around 2200 rpm) after tephra v7 from stock rom? All iscv table same as stock except for one that shares the same address as desired iscv inital table(still tried changing it ) no success. Thank you in advance
We need more MR videos By horsepower and Mr
Always a pleasure watching ur videos.
I never knew u cud actually adjust the clutch pressure on those
You can literally google how to
Keep up the good work 💪 👍
Thank u
i own this car now and i am in need of it to be tuned
Hey BD! What do you think about the new TCU SST tables found? (By Hamish and the Russian guy)

With all those mods, have u tuned ur car for those mods? Have u tried putting the stock map back on and seeing if that changes anything ?

Clutch calibration maybe could of helped as well, you have good videos
thank you for the suggestion. i have already did the proper calibration without maxing out the pressure. nothing worked. its time to change.

Maybe u can do a video explaining the basics. .... or is it really complicated?
Specifically which area are u reffing to?

Email me ur rom youtube@bdalchemist.com and include ur mod list
Can you tephra tune flex fuel with performance clutches installed? We are getting a “p181f clutch2 pressure too high”. Then it goes into limp mode
Who is we? Also how are u checking for this dtc code?
@@bdalchemist My tuner and I. Its on the VCI diagnostic tool
To answer ur question about the performance clutch. The answer is yes. We have done a few kozmics with gtx35 on flex. No issues
One question. .. what would be ur preferences for a good tuning laptop? What do you look for?
Some with good battery like, at least i5 or equivalent, and with a few usb ports
An SSD is good as well so you don’t frag a spinning hard drive on a bumpy road or if the laptop goes flying.
Just subscribed. I noticed you guys are in Illinois. I cant find you guys on Google. Where are you guys located?

Have you contacted the shop yet ?
Why such a big injectors on almost a STOCK car.
She had future upgrades in mind so instead of buying injectors again it was more cost effective this way
@@bdalchemist ok that's smart. Tell me about it. I had a,terrible experience with that, end up with 3 sets. Long story...
How much map v3 sst

What can I do to have my MR reach 600HP?
What clutch pack would you recommend?
