I was too busy worrying about my son’s survival, trying to find a way to eat something without throwing it up, questioning the nurses, questioning the doctors, and questioning my ability to be a mom. We are so lucky; but we also had an amazing set of nurses and doctors fighting for him. He is so smart, so empathetically caring, and so creative. He is strong now. His lungs are at 100%. He is athletic; but in such a self deprecation that it’s hilarity around our house at all times! You would not know he was born at 30 weeks. I only say this because 1) I want any chance to brag about my boy, but mostly when I was in the situation of sitting in the NICU , holding this little tiny 3 pound baby I was so scared. Hearing stories of preemies that have grown up to live absolutely healthy lives is one of the things that got me through. That, and Lorna dunes. Lots of Lorna dunes.

He was fascinating and he almost married a Mormon woman which required him to convert to LDS. He ran for the hills and we laughed all the way to get on a houseboat with a group of 16, mostly strangers. I got so lucky when I got paired up with that dude. He never got creepy. A funny memory and the trip was wild. Most of us only had one (the same) person in common. I knew everything about his life and I felt like we had been friends since elementary school. I got so lucky.

So much to unpack, and I didn’t even see this reality 😂 Actually I don’t watch reality shows (I’m freezed in time at first Italian Big Brother, when they still called it a “social experiment “), but I LOOOOVE your summaries, they give me the only vibe that a reality should give: laugh hard at people expenses 😂 So, to summ up a few points:
1) I had a friend who was 12 and had a boyfriend of 17, they stayed together for almost 7 years, had sex when she was 15 I think. It was mid90’s, Watching it now, I think what her parents were thinking to allow him in their home?? WTF! Gross 🤢
2) everyone who has had a large group of friends hanging out, has a Whitney in it. Actually tonight I’m going out to dinner with mine 😅 She is 2 weeks into her fourth redeeming phase, nobody believes her of course, but I’m too good to be true, so let’s try 😜 (+ dinner for 4 without kids it’s always an incentive)
3) Actually it’s quite hard for a woman to have an orgasm during her first experiences, at least it was for me. I had a lot of “fun” with a reasonable number of guys, but had orgasms just with my ex, and my husband. It goes without saying that I married him mostly for that 😂 But self confidence and self body consciousness are key to a solemn orgasm.
4) mustache guy: reminds me of my gay friend at 16 when he was still pretending that “baby one more time” music video drove him crazy because of Britney’s short skirt.
