Cool video! Thanks you. WE NEED MORE! More tutorials about visual effects like water particles, fire :)
Solid mini tutorial guys, be super keen to see more content like this.
I always see people creating crazy things with the vfx graph, but it always seemed very daunting to try and learn it, so I'm interested in seeing future tutorials on it.
Cool, I have to practice these new particles. I still use the previous one more than anything for mobile devices.
Woah, nice I'm really impressed by how intuitive this is. Excellent UI and UX Design!
These are gold!! keep them coming!!
Awesome ! Great Work from Unity Team !
Great Visual Effect Graph tutorial!
exactly what Im experimenting with right now, thanks for this tut ;-)
The current Particle System is already plenty powerful. I wonder what the main differences are between the two. Might finally convince me to switch to URP.
On a side note: the UI designers behind the VFX graph are absolute geniuses. The best looking part of Unity (or any game engine) as of now.
Great content Unity ♡
Visual Effects Graph rocks! 😍😍😍
Dear Unity, we need more Visual Effect Graph tutorials, I am trying to learn it for about a year, there is not much info about all the functions/modules, I even tried to watch Unity Japan, but I don't speak Japanese. This is how desperate I am)
Thanks for this
Ou my. Its great!
Awesome. Need soft particles :)
Very cool video
I have a suggestion, could you have a way to put the scripting documentation inside the editor so I don't have to go online for every single line of code
Yeaaaaah !
what's the difference between setting and alpha over lifetime curve in update method instead of setting color over lifetime in the output method and adjusting the alpha? Generally curious.
No diff ,except for when have many output if it in update the value will be shared for every output
More VFX )
Set alpha over life
When Visual Effects versus Particle System? I presume the Particle System is more performer but is that correct?
not really particle system is more performant, vfx use gpu thus faster
Particle system uses CPU while vfx uses gpu so it depends on your pc
For example my pc has a decent CPU and particle system runs good but it only has inbuilt gpu so heavy vfx just crashes unity
My particle is there but invisible, any idea ? its kinda confusing.
👍👍👍👍
VFX graph is good but it is very GPU heavy for my computer(It has UHD 630)
Smaller effects work but the simple head and trail system just crashes my unity due to high GPU usage
I am worried if I use this ,my game can only be played with a discrete graphics card
Have you tried sending a bug report after Unity crashed? Unity is actually pretty responsive to bug tickets, I recommend everyone to try it
@@tryfinally I tried it already
It seems there's only two examples for Visual Effects Graph, the single blob particle which is the equivalent of Hello World. Or the "create a genie that follows a 3d object and spawns particles" and "render a map over the star system with lots of details".
There's very few examples or tutorials going from the first towards the second. It would be very helpful to see the thought process behind it, how would you step up from the simplest case towards a more impressive one not in specifics of "use this block set it to 3.379 and then..." but more in line with "so we have the water drop, now we want it to create a splash when it hits the ground, to do this we want to detect the intersection with geometry which can be done with this block, or we can spawn the particle on the geometry and use the position over time to make it travel towards the spawn point".
I hope the distinction is clear enough with that off-the-cuff example
Is there a way to render 3d particles?
yes there's an option in VFX graph to use 3d meshes instead of the quads they're using in this video
@@kusalg thx
Yoooo
New

如何检测手机是否能运行vfx?很多机型检测是支持计算着色器,但是实际上不行...
how to test if the phone can run vfx?some phone use code to test is support complete shader, but infact they isnt

Animation system in UNITY is really bad and messy. I am Lightwave 3D user and switching to Unity is nightmare for me.
It's just me or this VFX Graph looks kinda T H I C C. I'm just saying
Yes ..... Shut,shut
Wow that was really cool😅😅
@@goodluckcollection5663 Wow that was really cool 👍
Drinking game, take a shot everytime the narrator says "visual effect"
Too basic video
