- Today we go over my general impression of the Hearthstone meta with the latest patch in Hearthstone that saw over 30 cards get adjusted. We also review an undocumented buff to a Rogue card and take a look at every updated Whizbang deck.

The big difference between Brann and Sif is that Brann never sits in hand, so the window of disruption is much smaller. If they draw him by turn 6 (or 5 with coin), they play him that turn. Otherwise, they play him the turn they draw him. This means the only effective turns to attempt to disrupt are 1-5. If you are playing a slow deck and he isn't in their hand during those turns (or you don't have disruption for those turns or your disruption misses...), you have pretty much already lost the game unless they somehow fail to draw him for the entire game.
Sif will often sit in hand for multiple turns while the necessary setup is complete to make her effective, giving you way more time to find your disruption and make it land.
Personally, I would like it if Brann was reworked to say something like "Your next 3 battlecries are doubled." This would keep the flavor, and allow for some potential high-value plays with Zola to get multiple copies of him, but it doesn't just win the game all on its own.
new Bran and Reno 2 most FU%%UP cards to be ever made. (and Shudderwok!). Just remember how much effort previously went into getting that double battlecry combo to work. the old Bran had to be kept alive or was 1 turn usage. Shaman had quest to complete, now warrior just dumps it on the table and he has double BC till end of the game? Seriously who did ever come with this INSANE card???
Sif is like kindergarten thing compare to that.
The Gap between Brann and Reno vs the other class Highlander cards is just way too vast. it’s so clear they knew that they couldn’t allow these other cards to be too strong because Reno exists but then I guess a completely different team just gave Reno a super busted highlander card to pair up with anyway so what was the point of making the other highlander cards underpowered?.

I mean Rhea and Hollidae are pretty insane effects, even if they can get teched against. The others are pretty underwhelming I'll agree.

Reno should be 10 mana or remove 1 slot restriction.
I love how consistently every single mini-set broke the game in half and had tons of its card nerfed, meaning they're almost always cards people don't have duplicates of and likely don't want to disenchant.
Poor Zeddy, only has 367,455 dust. Can barely craft anything...

That'd be a pretty smart nerf, not only can it be removed but it also removes one of your board spaces which can be relevant when they can summon like 5 minions from the ox and then still have mana to play other minions.
This is such a great suggestion. Or even just having it spawn a location that makes it so battlecries that turn cast twice. That way its not every single turn and has limited use cases
Meta still sucks. Two problems: hunters so powerful at early game, and Brann Warrior destroys every late game option.
You can change cards as much as you want. How you expect to see playable late game when there is a Brann. Token Hunter can be okey with just a little more debuff.

Yeah I love Blizzard's cheekiness with April Fools, harkens back to old Heroes of the Storm days where they made 'Pajamathur' as a joke skin and it was so loved by the community that they made it an actual skin.
Mixtape being Fire is sort of hilarious, I love it.
We can go back even more. Pandaren were originally an April Fools joke for Warcraft 3, but people liked them so much they actually got added as a character in the game (The Pandaren Brewmaster), further this lead to the entire Mists of Pandaria expansion in WoW where they became a playable race and are now a major part of the franchise's canon.
brann needs to be once per turn. every battlecry after that first one needs to be normal. it's absolutely ridiculous lol. everything else is honestly pretty damn nice. reno shudderwock/block shaman in wild is about to be a goddamn *menace*
in Brann case its better if he gets cap to like 4 triggers..once per game for him would make old Brann better :S
I have not forgotten about the quests so still have yet to log in to play.
Already having a lot more fun in wild, it’s a shame that theres always a bad thing before a good one though
I just realized, the ‘if your deck started with no duplicates’ change makes plagues from DK less of an issue but the popular DH plays Reno Lone Ranger and gunslinger kurtrus but also two copies of the toy maker and the weapon!
The Whizbang deck looks pretty good now, and they finally fixed the EVIL deck.
Coming from a warrior player. I have been saying this since Odin came out, control warrior will singlehandedly murder hearthstone. The only correct move is to remove any control deck that does not play for the board. Just think about how many card in that deck has been nerfed and it is still infesting the meta. A very simple rule for online pvp game design is action over inaction. League understands this, Pubg understands this, HS for sure understands this. Blizzard is still keeping this around because these expensive un-interactive overpowered decks are great for business. Only the player who plays it will have fun and the opponent would be miserable. This incentivizes spending and no one wanna be bullied so they spend all that precious dust on extremely high cost decks. There is not a single cheap control deck in the game for this same reason. Long-term wise this is murdering the game for some quick cash.
As someone who last played during Kobolds, returned just before Showdown miniset, even I knew that Brann was an insane card.
Possible change to Brann For the rest of the game, each trun your first Battlecry triggers twice.
I made a new clown warrior deck and its busted af. That change would solve everything

Why are we talking about warrior?
I like the new Whizbang decks how they make them more fun, better, and thematic with previous expansions. Not necessary to make them competitive or overpowered, strong above avg is good enough.
20+ days without hearthstone and already much healthier in general. Even my skin and hair got smoother from quiting this game.

Today I played 2 giants 8/8 turn 2 in rogue (wild) in top 2500 wild legend, I feel like the best rogue player ever existed. I won this match btw.
I feel like now, with reno brann being straight up buffed, the card should say "If your deck started with no duplicates, the FIRST battlecry each turn is doubled"
It's still problematic imo this way too but at least it's not just a matter of kill the warrior before they scam you with infinite value as it at least has some soft of limit cap
It's better for sure, and I like when they make changes consistently to tweak things

Nature shaman got killed. At first the 3 mana flash didn't seem that bad, butI didn't realise how much i relied on Golganneth + flash of lightning on t6.
Nature Shaman is bad lol. Idk why people were losing to it after the gift nerf. It's extremely difficult to push damage if they have even moderate healing so you have to OTK and it's not easy to defend while getting the pieces.
@@GaussianEntity dude nature shaman was a beast before the flash nerf you bugging. with flash sizzle it could even take down warriors and druids.
@@barryschalkwijk9388 I played the deck lol. It wasn't anything special. Funnily enough I ended up playing the version most people moved to post gift nerf before the nerf lol. The counter is to hold your Speaker Stomper on the combo turn or the turn you're about to kill them and you just win. You can also rat to reduce the potential damage as well.
@@GaussianEntity Be as that may, but very few of my opponents were doing that and i had a 59% winrate to diamond 2 and then the nerf hit.. wish i started 2 days earlier.
I thi k blizz is gonna makr Brann only double the first battlecry each turn. Won't affect those high mana minions like boom boss but it kinda future proofs the card against future cheap battlecry combos
Mages in wild now be doing infinite light show with the same package quest mage used ETC and illusion potion
You can’t counter Reno deck with plague anymore.
Counter is putting it mildly.
The reality is that plague dk makes reno and bran unplayable.

I have a lot I dislike about Zeddy, but I respect him a lot too. The content in large part doesnt appeal to me, but he takes the time and effort to be fair: harrassig the developpers is not a good thing, and even when he's upset with their decision, he stands up for that fact. When there is something to celebrate, he celebrates it.

People wanted Reno changed and now because of the change of how the highlander cards function, now brann’s battlecry is guaranteed. They should have just put steam cleaner back into standard or you just get punished for playing highlander and having cards shuffled into your deck like it’s been for 8 years or however long it’s been since the first round of highlander cards
I hope they fix/fixed the Mirage ... lately it messes up cards in hand when played and its kinda unplayable afterwards :/
The Hunter Wizzbang losing Astalor is kinda rough.
You just have to apply constant pressure to highlander warrior, the class was also heavily nerfed multiple times. Warrior can't afford to play Brann with constant pressure, and the insane cards are delayed by at least 1 turn.
Reno itself on the other hand, can reset games on the spot as soon as you can play it. Reno is the busted card that's just it. No highlander would be worth it if Reno wasn't completely busted.
@zeddy honestly if they did a requirement for barrn like if you play 5 or 8 battlecry for the double effect would make it easier to play against and rewarding

im currently 29-4 with brann warrior since the update and my only losses were the mirror. that is 88% win rate. im also high ranked legend. i would say that is far too strong. i love that plagues dont shut singleton cards down anymore, but im not sure how to answer the gap in power.
Release an 8 mana Chromie that kills all for the rest of the game effects.

think rhea and spirit are pretty close to the infinite value like brann. those deck just dont have the control tools warrior has to use that infinite value

There is even worse stuff then that, shaman in wild has practically done the exact same thing with quest shaman by like turn 3 or 4 for years and it has been the bane of my existence!! A brother can only stomach so many shudderwocks before he wants to bite and claw his own phone lol

@@CirusslySan They hit two of warrior's biggest removals and nerfed reno by 1 the deck is slowed down by a lot and it can get ran over a lot easier

If you see a lot of a certain deck and you want to win, you play the counter it's simple you're still not going to flat out win cause that's life, I don't understand what there is to be mad at honestly.
Guys I'm sorry i don't lean to be rude here but all the community is saying the same thing since months: Warrior is just broken with Brann. To be honest i don't appreciate what they have done because it's not the nerf the community is asking for. They just have seen less players so they updated couple of cards. Which have never been a problem neither raised by anyone.. again it's my own opinion guys sorry to not be on the same line ^^
The weeklies and all my quests took 3-4hours to complete.
I actually had fun playing yesterday. I ran a control mage deck and actually got to do some board management. It was highlander as well. 🎉🎉🎉
When are they going to revert the Sorcerer's Apprentice nerf? They need to make up for the fact that they killed Time Warp Mage and that nerf caused the Time Warp problem in the first place.
Also the Time Warp change was beyond retarded. Open the Waygate is not a Preist card, a dragon, or a Standard card.

As a wild player im really happy with the changes but I feel like even paladin will be an outliar. The deck was already t1 and now with reno being nerfed it will dominate

even paladin gets eaten by reno though.. give it a try!
@zemonserious925 it's good against even paladin 100%. What I'm saying is most of the time the game is already done before getting to reno. It's good if you can get to it but even paladin is so fast and resilient that most of the time reno is just too slow even at 8. I play reno Shaman too and even if on paper I have a good matchup you can get steamrolled real quick if you didn't draw 2 board wipes early

I’d raise it to 8 mana 12/1. Charge Windfurry. For the rest of the game, your battlecries trigger twice. With the mana raise, it should be worse.

I was joking too, but nowadays in hearthsone there is no way 12/1 would live to another turn. 4/6 with taunt would be good enough, but if warrior even gets to 8 mana, it'll still be broken, because of the effect, not because of the mana or stats. It can even cost 10 mana, as long as warrior survives, it doesn't matter. Now that i think about, nerfs for warrior clears might have been smart, because it drops their survivability.
Brann should be like Alextraza create a mine that discover treasures at the start of turn
The biggest Problem of Hearthstone is discover. Sry one discovered Card is to often the card you lose or win the game. You can outplay your oppenent perfekt then he discovers one Card and you lose bc of this or Sometimes you got outplayed and win bc of one discovered card. That has nothing to do with skill.
And reska besically 0 Mana mindcontroll by Turn 5/6. One of the worst designt carda ever

Devs are too busy pandering to creators wishes to nerf broken and annoying cards like Bran and limitless plagues. You spent too much time exclusively complaining about OTKs that only dictate the meta at high legend

I enjoy warrior the nerfs definitely slowed it down and even lost to a rainbow death knight and hunter through shear aggro and being a mana off each time
Brann options:
1) your first battlecry each turn is doubled (slows the deck a bit more kinda)
2) all battlecrys except legendaries are doubled (might kill the whole deck, not ideal)
3) your next 3 battlecrys are doubled (slows the deck if they don’t have there win conditions drawn and are having to summon minions to defend the board)
4) Same as 3 but they have the option to choose which ones to double for the rest of the game (limited to 3)
Thoughts?
Simple answer, no. This game is past saving now. The HS devs are either so far out of touch with what people actually want the game to play like, or they genuinely think they know the metas people enjoy better than players do. This game has gone down a horrible path in the last few years, and it just keeps getting worse🤦♀️

Brann warrior was super tough enough even when plagues were a thing, half the time they would play Brann before I could lock their deck and ofc you just lose. Brann should have remained like before or get reworked

Hearthstone has been uninstalled and will be reinstalled when they decide to let Wild be Wild again.
Reno needs to be nerfed MORE. the effect of clearing opponent board AND limiting space to 1 AND giving yourself new hero power is WAY TOO MUCH. Specially first effect just cannot be justified. It needs to be removed completely.

@@johnherb4243 I think it's debatable that Brann was nerfed because being start of game means you can't just draw your whole deck then play it without caring much like before. Still more of a buff than a Nerf but like I feel like any semblance of a Nerf warrants a refund it's just 1200 more fake currency not like Blizzards gonna lose sales over it lol
