So well said. And to acknowledge himself not being a native as well as confirming it isn’t a language issue before giving his opinion. Respect.
Cor , he knows he is German , stunning and brave🙌🙏🍩🥈Britain has sunk under the weight of virtue signalling ethno masochist liberalism.
Why is everyone ignoring the fact what Lineker said is highly offensive to Jewish , people and shows how dumb footballers are .
Liverpool aren't native either

Yes being tango he may have stood out. Belly s going to get you. Anyway, klopp is a hypocrite. Wayne linekar is a better lad!

Nope. Good manager. Too pally with the Yank parasites.
And now, all too often a shill for Neoliberal extremism.
If I am against Islamist immigration, am I REALLY like Nazis?

The BBC supported Jimmy Savile, that says it all.
Didn't just support him, actively aided and abetted him and covered it up.
and they supported Lineker until he said one more imbecilic thing that pissed off the majority, forcing them to do something or lose even more money when more people cancel the tv license.
that's because Saville had all the dirt on the Westminster Pedophile Ring and the politicians, intelligence personnel and public figures involved in it.
Yeah the Tories were in control of it then as well - Maggie was Jimmy's best mate.

A very grounded response as you would expect. Agree or disagree with Lineker no one should be punished for voicing an opinion.
He was comparing a government (of which I am not a fan) with Nazis. When that government effectively pays his wages by levying us, the British public - you have to question his sense in this. Technically not an employee of course but that's semantics.
Only if your opinion is one that the tories believe in. Like Putin's control of media. Their mate who interfered in the elections to tory gain remember?
I have no problem with Gary or anyone having an opinion, however I do have a problem with Gary spouting on about Human rites in one hand whilst accepting 1.6 million to comentate in QATAR...
He's a Hypocrite.
@Ezio Auditore it was an extremely accurate comparison when you actually see nazi Germany propaganda in the 1930s and compare it to what Suella Braverman was saying
@@maydaygoingdown5602 That is the argument the tories are using to discredit him too. But it is fair to point out the hypocrisy too. Half the country watched the WC but it's still correct and accurate what Gary said this week
A very thoughtful and decent person is Jurgen Klopp.
Nice teeth too.
I'm a Spurs fan, but I adore Klopp. He oozes class and has a strong social conscience. The Premier League is a richer place with him in it.
He is right, this is the world we are living in. Everyone is so concerned about saying the right stuff etc…. Very sad.
It seems to me that often people are prevented from saying the right stuff, and when they do they get punished for it. Meanwhile others get free reign to spew lies, slurs, insinuations and malicious smears that destroy careers and, in some cases, lives. At least we're not at the point of throwing dissenters out of tall buildings. Yet.
Lineker broke the rules of the BBC. End of discussion. It is not about freedom of speech, if he didn't work for the BBC nothing would have happened to him. But he does. He is in breach of contract. Why is this so difficult for everyone to understand? And why is it when someone goes agains the narrative, i.e. Clarkson, they get hammered. But make a comment in support of the Current Thing then everyone comes to their defence? Double standards much?
You dont compare anything these days to nazi germany !
@@MCDrB-wq8ed As you are an idiot, your opinion is meaningless.

"this is a hard world to live in" very true
Honestly I really dont think it's fair to ask him this question, he missed nothing in language but maybe does not have full understanding of 1) what the BBC is meant to be, and 2) how it differs from what it actually is.
Great answer anyway, but it's a really unfair question to ask someone who is not from the UK and , although has great English, is maybe lacking full fluency enough to (as he admits) understand the full situation.
Perhaps he’s intelligent enough for his answer to be far reaching without being overt? It’s a hard world we live in when someone can’t speak out their opinion about a human rights issue.

My prediction: either the BBC (Tim Davie) backs down, or else Lineker will turn up on someone else's TV sports coverage as a valued presenter and with his integrity still intact.
What like BT sports?
Which he can do if he sticks to that programs rules, probably RT.....

Top bloke. full stop.
By the time the questioner had put his question to an increasingly puzzled Jurgen, the Lineker saga had become ancient history.
Maybe ask him if our government is behaving like the German one in the 1930s?
Ffs what is so hard to understand. Linekar must be impartial if he wants to work for the BBC. He wasn’t, not for the first time. So he broke the rules.
Yes, but as other people have pointed out smart arse, other notable BBC employees, Sugar, to name one, have also 'broken z rules'. Love people who think they're the smartest person ever.

Why can't france help them? Almost identical countries, do you think we can help everyone in the world? do you have limits? I'd rather we focus on our own needy who are homeless living on the streets, veterans, young mums, people suffering from mental health problems etc. This past decade or so the attitudes have shifted in this country to toss our own, lets try and help everyone else. Love this. He nails it. And speaks so more widely on the issue we now facing in society, where we all try to cancel opinions we don't agree with.
I don't like or agree with Lineker, but I will defend until I die his right to express an opinion that his employer won't allow.
But that is the problem, having an opinion is weaponised. Some people say he should have an opinion, but people are hounded out of jobs and having a voice in the UK if they disagree with the redefinition of marriage, gender ideology, abortion, LGBT ideology, Islamism etc. It's been interesting seeing ppl who support freedom of speech for Lineker are often the same people who support cancel culture for anyone anti woke (not aiming this at you).
I applaud you Mr. Klopp. Well done.
Lineker consistently breaks his contract with the BBC to remain impartial, and he also consistently breaks his promise to the British people that he will remain impartial. Lineker is overpaid with public money and thinks he's above his legal obligations. The ego on the guy.

There is employment law that states that you can be sacked for bringing your employer into disrepute even when not at work. Many people would say that comparing the Government to Nazi Germany brings the BBC into disrepute. There is also the matter that the BBC charter requires the BBC to be politically neutral. We also don’t know what is in Mr Linekers contract - he could be in breach tier all we know.
All these reasons are enough for the BBC to suspend him. Personally I think what Mr Lineker tweeted is despicable but don’t think he should be suspended. However I do find it annoying that legally I am required to contribute to his extraordinary salary because the law forces me to have a TV licence even though I don’t watch any BBC programmes.
